Johnson, Parkhouse Commit to SFU

Buddy Johnson and Caleb Parkhouse have committed to British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League (BCIHL) program Simon Fraser University.

Johnson spent five seasons in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) with Delta Hockey Academy. He joined the program in 2014/15 for the U15 season, recording 4 points in 12 games while winning a U15 CSSHL League Championship. He would capture another U15 CSSHL League Championship the following season scoring 13 goals and 13 assists in 24 games.

The White Rock, BC forward would record 9 points in 29 U16 Prep games the following season, followed by seasons of 20 and 31 points at the U18 Prep level.

Johnson would join the Surrey Eagles for the 2019/20 British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) season, recording 10 points in 50 games. He would tally 20 points in 18 games in 2020/21, before finishing this season with 17 points in 53 games.

Parkhouse has played the last two seasons in the BCHL with his hometown Powell River Kings. In 62 BCHL games the forward recorded 14 goals and 15 assists.

Prior to joining Powell River Parkhouse played four seasons in the CSSHL with Shawnigan Lake School. He joined the program in 2015/16 with their U15 Prep team, tallying 6 points in 23 games. He would spend the next two years in the U17 Prep division, playing 50 games and recording 56 points while capturing a CSSHL U17 Prep League Championship in 2017/18. Parkhouse would then play one year with the Shawnigan Lake U18 Prep team scoring 15 goals and 13 assists in 31 games, before making the jump to junior.
