The Humboldt Broncos have signed Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) student-athletes Aidan Fischer and Ty McKay for the 2023/24 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) season.
Fischer joined the CSSHL for the 2018/19 U15 season with Delta Hockey Academy. That season the North Vancouver, BC netminder would post am 8-7-0 record with a 3.56 GAA and .871 SV% in 17 games. During the 2019/20 U15 Prep campaign with Delta Green, Fischer would go 13-1-0 with 1 shutout, a 2.72 GAA and .899 SV% in 15 games.
Fischer would play 4 U17 Prep games for Delta in 2020/21 before joining BWC Academy for the 2022/23 U18 Prep season. In 19 games Fischer wold go 15-4-0 with 4 shutouts, a 2.16 GAA and .920 SV% while being named a nominee for the CSSHL U18 Prep Division Top Goaltender Award.
A forward from Calgary, AB, McKay originally joined Calgary International Hockey Academy in 2018/19. In 25 U15 games he would record 2 goals. McKay would return to the team in 2021/22, tallying 15 points in 31 U18 Prep games. This season he would score 14 goals and assist on 13 more in 32 games.
