King Heights Academy (5) vs Mount Academy (6/OT) East U18 Prep
Mount Academy finally grabbed their first win of the season in dramatic fashion, edging King Heights 6–5 in overtime after nearly letting a three‑goal lead slip away. Mount built a 3–0 cushion off goals from Noah Richard (1G), Kaj Bernhard (1G) and Cache Smith (1G), but King Heights clawed back with strikes from Danil Kolzin (2G), including a big third‑period marker, and Semen Nizhnikov (2G), who tied it 5–5 with 47 seconds left in regulation. Maksymilian Nietrzebka (1G) also chipped in, while playmaker Nikita Khotko (3A), along with Misha Shelipov (2A), Danila Kulinkovich (2A) drove much of King Heights’ offense. For Mount, Jacob Jardine (2G) was the hero, scoring the late third‑period power‑play goal and then burying the OT winner, supported by multi‑point nights from Diego Manzo (1G,1A), Nathaniel St. Pierre Maltais (2A) and Christian Belliveau (2A).
Fort Erie International Academy (5) vs CIH Academy (0) East U17 Prep
Fort Erie International Academy U17 rolled to a 5–0 shutout over CIH Academy, dominating from start to finish behind a hat‑trick performance from Matvei Zakharov (3G) and a flawless 30‑save outing by Bruno Jeschonnek. FEIA opened the scoring through Ilia Sokurenko (1G, 1A) in the first, then extended their lead in the second with goals from Alexis Timbro (1G) and Zakharov, fueled by sharp puck movement from Etienne Guo (2A) and Vladimir Palash (2A). Zakharov added a shorthanded strike early in the third before sealing the hat trick with a buzzer‑beater on a late game breakaway. CIH generated early pressure but couldn’t convert on five power plays, and as the game wore on, FEIA’s transition speed and finishing touch proved overwhelming in a complete, wire‑to‑wire victory.
Selwyn House School (8) vs King’s Edgehill School (3) East U18 Prep
Selwyn House delivered one of their most complete performances of the season, overwhelming King’s Edgehill 8–3 in a game that never really felt in doubt and may well mark the start of a momentum swing after an up‑and‑down January. Selwyn House struck just 74 seconds in with Michael Paliotti (1G, 1A), setting the tone for a night where their top players dictated every inch of the ice. The second period became the true separation point: Aadi Patel (1G, 4A) ignited the surge with a shorthanded marker, then kept piling on assists as Jackson Pitfield (2G, 2A) and Salikh Salakhutdinov (1G) capitalized on a suddenly overwhelmed KES penalty kill. Even when King’s Edgehill pushed back, through the efforts of Grady Betts (2G), who briefly kept his team within striking distance Selwyn House always had an answer. Isaac Huberman (2G, 1A) took over the third period, scoring twice and helping bury any hope of a comeback. With special teams clicking 3 for 8 on the power play, plus a shorthanded goal and Evan Un Yi (37/40) steady in net with 37 saves.
Okanagan Hockey Ontario (0) vs Lower Canada College (12) East U17 Prep
Lower Canada College steamrolled Okanagan Hockey Ontario with a 12–0 statement win and extending their four‑game winning streak in terrifyingly dominant fashion. LCC controlled every inch of the ice from the opening shift, exploding for five goals in the first period and never letting up. Mario Lapenna (3G, 3A) was untouchable inching closer to 100 career points, factoring in six goals. Harry Miller (1G, 4A) and Alex Gervasi (2G, 2A) kept the attack rolling, while Matthew Boroff (2G, 1A), David Fellen (1G, 1A), Jeremy Riccardi (1G, 1A), Eli Cohen (1G), and Gianluca Gatto (1G) piled on to complete the rout. Efstratios Couvas (22/22) quietly posted a perfect 22‑save shutout behind a team that spent most of the game in the offensive zone. For OHO, this marks a second straight loss to LCC by a combined 18–0 margin.
Fairmont Hockey (4) vs Ontario Hockey Academy (5/OT) East U18 Prep
Fairmont looked poised to steal one, but Ontario Hockey Academy stormed back with four unanswered goals to take a dramatic 5–4 OT win, flipping a 4–1 deficit into a comeback and extending their momentum after a dominant outing the night before. Fairmont exploded early behind Trevor Swanson (2G), who scored twice in the opening twelve minutes, followed by Matthew Sheffield (1G) to build a 3–0 lead after one. OHA chipped away in the second with Alexis Bergeron (1G), but Louis Miyata (1G) restored the three‑goal cushion heading into the third. That’s when the game flipped. Maxim Ius (2G) struck on the power play, Mathis‑Cael Aurelius (1G, 3A) buried another on the man‑advantage, and Ius tied it in the final minute off a perfect feed from Aurelius and Nathaniel Noah (1G, 2A). OHA needed just 33 seconds of overtime for Noah to complete the comeback, capping a four‑point night for Aurelius and handing Fairmont its second straight loss while OHA continues trending upward with back‑to‑back wins.
Fort Erie International Academy (4) vs CIH Academy (3) East U18 Prep
Fort Erie kept its perfect run against CIH alive, improving to 4–0 in the matchup with a composed 4–3 comeback win that also extended their current streak to three straight victories. CIH came out swinging behind Ricky Deslauriers (2G), who scored once in each of the first two periods, and Tucker Clare (1G), giving CIH a 3–1 lead late in the second. But FEIA flipped the script. Christophe Gagné (2G, 1A) answered with a huge goal before intermission, then tied the game just 46 seconds into the third to seize momentum. From there, Riley Cave (2G, 2A) took over, finishing with a four‑point night and burying the power‑play winner midway through the period. For CIH, it’s now four straight losses, and despite a strong push early, they couldn’t solve FEIA’s tightening structure in the third. Fort Erie, meanwhile, looks like a team heating up at exactly the right time.
North Shore Warriors (3) vs Delta Hockey Academy (6) U15 Prep
Delta Hockey Academy kept its nine‑game heater rolling with a composed 6–3 win over North Shore, pulling off a near carbon copy of their dominant November meeting but with far more pushback from the Warriors this time. Carson Brown (2G) and Ronan Gow (3G) powered one of the league’s most explosive offense, combining for five goals as Delta struck twice early, weathered a second‑period North Shore surge, and then buried the game with a four‑goal third period. North Shore’s power play briefly tilted momentum when Quinn Herman scored twice (2G) and Kieran Rattray added another (1G) but every time the North Shore clawed close, Delta’s depth and transition game answered immediately. Eli Vickers (1G, 2A) and Mazen Green (2A) continued their season‑long tear, while Brayden Allan (23/26) turned aside 23 shots to secure the win. For Nort Shore, the loss snaps a four‑game win streak. Delta, meanwhile, looks every bit like a wagon (19‑2‑1‑1), nine straight wins, and an offense that simply refuses to cool off.
Northern Alberta Xtreme (4) vs OHA Edmonton (2) U15 Prep
Northern Alberta Xtreme flipped the script on a rivalry that had produced two wild, high‑scoring games earlier in the season, grinding out a composed 4–2 comeback win over OHA Edmonton and extend their own mini‑surge. After giving up eight goals to OHA just nineteen days earlier, NAX looked headed for more trouble when Edmonton struck twice in the opening frame, Braydon Lynam (1G) and Kobe Pellack (1G) building a 2–0 lead while Rowen Germain (29/32) turned aside everything at the other end. But the second period belonged to NAX: Keatyn Devlin (1G) finally broke through before Landon Reschny (1G, 1A) tied it on the power play, part of a night where NAX’s top producers showed exactly why they sit near the top of the league scoring charts. In the third, Danel Ramazanov (1G, 1A) delivered the go‑ahead marker, his 24th of the season, continuing a torrid stretch that has him firmly in the elite tier of U15 scorers, and Lincoln Baschuk (1G, 1A) sealed it with an empty‑netter. Marek Swanson was the quiet hero, stopping 35 of 37 to steady a team that had been burned by OHA’s firepower in both previous meetings.
Delta Hockey Academy (6) vs North Shore Warriors (4) U17 Prep
Delta kept its undefeated season rolling with a 6–4 win over North Shore, a game that looked eerily similar to their 10–1 meeting back in October, only this time the Warriors punched back before eventually getting overwhelmed by Delta’s depth and relentless shot volume. North Shore actually struck first through Rex Norman (1G), but Delta answered with two late-period goals and never trailed again. The middle frame turned into a special‑teams carousel, with Casey Pearson (1G, 1A) cashing on the power play before Enan Vlad (1G) and Nehemiah Plunkett (1G, 1A) briefly pulled NSW level. Every time the North Shore clawed back, Delta had an answer, this time Brady Oatman (1G) restoring the lead. The third opened with Haydn Goetzinger (1G, 1A) tying it 4–4, but Delta’s top producers took over: Nicolas Peach (1G, 2A) buried the go‑ahead marker and Beckett Matlock (1G, 1A) added insurance on the power play. The shot totals told the real story, Delta outshot NSW 84–33, forcing Brayden Unruh into a heroic 78‑save performance just to keep it close. With the win, Delta extends its unbeaten streak to eight straight, while North Shore drops a third consecutive game despite one of their grittiest efforts of the season.
Edge School (7) vs OHA Edmonton (2) U17 Prep
Edge School kept its perfect record against OHA Edmonton this season intact with a convincing 7–2 win, powered by a wave of multi‑point performances and a momentum‑swinging second period that broke the game open. Noah Brade (1G), Delano Bilotta (1G), and Evan Lynch (1G, 1A) set the tone early before Edge exploded for three in the middle frame, highlighted by Jack Boutillier (1G, 1A) on the power play and a shorthanded strike from Malcolm McLeod (1G, 1A). In the third, Keaton Matthews (1G, 2A) and Luke McGuire (1G, 3A) continued the onslaught, with McGuire capping the night in the final minute. OHA Edmonton found goals from Chayse Fedoriuk (1G) and Bryce McCrindle (1G), but couldn’t slow an Edge squad now riding a 3‑0 season series sweep and showing the same offensive depth that’s fueled their strong 15‑6‑0‑0 campaign. Zach Henry (36/38) was sharp with 36 saves.
Ulysse Academie (1) vs Bishop’s College School (7) East U18 Prep
Bishop’s College School rolled to a 7–1 win on the back of a monster night from Luca Stasi (4G, 2A), who scored in every period and drove the offense from the opening shift. Gavin Rusenstrom (4A) was the playmaking engine, while Dominik Bickos (1G, 1A) and Kayden Robitaille (1G, 1A) added secondary punch. Ulysse’s only goal came late in the first from Joey Rheault (1G) off a setup by Nathan Lajoie (1A), but they were held to just 14 shots as BCS controlled pace, possession, and special teams. Tyler Fuicelli (13/14) was steady in net, while Ulysse’s Samuel Bourgoin (35/42) faced a heavy barrage. BCS pulled away with a dominant third period, capped by Stasi completing his four‑goal performance in a statement win.
North Shore Warriors (4) vs St. George’s School (7) U15
St. George’s controlled the game wire‑to‑wire in a 7–4 win, powered by a dominant night from their top pointers. Alan Qiu (2G, 2A) led the charge, striking twice in the first and adding two more helpers, while Elmer Wang (2G) and Marcus Nuyen (1G, 1A) helped blow the game open in the team’s four‑goal second period. Asher Jin (3A) and Jeffrey Yang (3A) were steady playmakers throughout. North Shore pushed back with goals from Abel Lindsay (1G), Sawyer Shepard (1G), Denver Dairon (1G), and Max Darlow (1G), but 49 shots against and heavy penalty trouble made the hill too steep. Rhys Williams stopped 20 of 24 for St. George’s to earn the win.
Delta Hockey Academy (5) vs BWC Academy (6/SO) U18 Prep
Delta Hockey Academy U18 Prep edged out BWC Academy 6–5 in a shootout after a wild back‑and‑forth battle where Kishan Saggu (3G, 1A) took over the game with a hat trick and the shootout winner. Delta also got key contributions from Dylan Hurren (1G, 1A) and Treyce Pavlic (1G), while Bryson Roberts (2A) and Cortland LeMieux (2A) chipped in helpers. BWC countered with big nights from Charlie Robinson (1G, 2A), Dominic Seminoff (2A), and Declan Iacoviello (1G, 1A), plus goals from Kadyn O’Brien (1G), Mark Lee (1G), and Logan Lepinski (1G). Both teams fired 42 shots, and in the shootout Jack Morgan and Saggu scored for Delta while only O’Brien converted for BWC, sealing the comeback win.
Bishop’s College School (4/SO) vs Kuper Academy (3) East U17 Prep
Bishop’s College School edged out Kuper Academy 4–3 in a shootout, powered by a clutch night from Thomas Roy (2G) and a composed performance from Egor Oganesyan (37/40). Roy opened the scoring late in the first and later tied the game on a power play with under three minutes left, while Alex Han (1G) added the other regulation marker. Kuper countered with goals from Thomas Issa (1G), Emile Fortin (1G), and Luca De Pastena (1G, 1A), briefly taking a 3–2 lead in the third before BCS forced overtime. After a scoreless OT, Grady Cohen delivered the lone shootout goal, sealing the win as Oganesyan shut the door on all three Kuper attempts.
Prairie Hockey Academy (2) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (1) U17
Prairie Hockey Academy clawed back from an early deficit to take a 2–1 lead late in the third, powered entirely by Noah Delaurier (2G), who tied the game in the second and buried the go‑ahead marker in the third off another setup from Soren Hayden (2A). RINK Winnipeg opened the scoring in the first with Grayson Speirs (1G) finishing a feed from Julien Crook (1A) and Ebenezer Shaganya (1A), but couldn’t solve Kayden Gregoire (34/35) again despite a heavy push in the final frame. Both teams went 0‑for‑3 on the power play, and the shots finished even at 35–35 as PHA’s structure and goaltending carried them through a tight, low‑event matchup.
Shawnigan Lake School (6) vs North Shore Warriors (7) U18 Prep
A pair of wins over the Wenatchee Wild in early January would have felt far in the rearview mirror for a North Shore Warriors U18 Prep squad that came into this weekend on a three-game losing skid. Shawnigan, likewise, have struggled since their first game of the month, having lost four since they beat RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna on January 17. Whichever team won was snapping a slump, with the game containing the tenacity and fight you’d expect of two teams in that boat. The first period wasn’t particularly eventful, but the game blew open from there in the following twenty. With the score 1-1 after one, the two sides would combine for 24 penalty minutes in the second period, resulting in seven goals, just one of which occurred five-on-five. Shawnigan scored two power-play goals and a shorthanded goal, North Shore scored three power-play goals, and the Warriors led 5-4 through two. Of those five, Vlad Ibragimov (4G, 1A) scored four, now extending his streak to four straight games with a goal, now leading Ibragimov to nine goals and twelve points over a six-game point streak. The third period was slightly more docile than the second, but still had its drama; Nigel Alberts (2G) scored twice to bring chaos to proceedings, but Chase Heide and a well-timed empty-net goal from Landon Kelly (1G, 1A) secured the Warrior win.
Mount Academy (1) vs Ontario Hockey Academy (11) East U17 Prep
The Friday night Eastern U17 Prep clash presented Ontario Hockey Academy with Mount Academy as their opponents for the first time since October, ending in a series of three consecutive wins they hoped to emulate again on Friday. Mount Academy didn’t provide much in the form of meaningful pushback, with early goals from Elliot Sullivan (2G, 1A) and Artem Kovalenko (2G) sending OHA on their way to an offensive explosion. OHA scored five in the second period alone, led by four points off the stick of Mykyta Staskevych (2G, 2A) and four assists from Yehor Pyshalko. Ontario didn’t stop their offensive onslaught, eventually winning 11-1.
Edge School (10) vs Notre Dame Hounds (1) U15
The U15 squad of the Notre Dame Hounds had won just one of 22 previous games to Friday’s clash with Edge School, positioning Edge as the cut-and-dry favourites in the contest. Edge bested Notre Dame by a huge margin on Thursday, winning 11-0, and would begin emulating that performance early in the game on Friday. In less than a four and a half minute stretch of early first-period action, Edge scored three, only a cushion to the damage they’d continue to do. Edge outshot Notre Dame 23-4 in the first, eventually scoring the first eight goals of the contest. Three Edge School skaters chipped in with three or more points apiece, led by two goals each from Jake Sander (2G, 1A) and Gio Niven (2G, 2A). Edge’s powerplay went 3/4, and their penalty kill was successful both times they were tested in the Mountaineers’ 10-1 win.
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (4) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (5) U17 Prep
The Northern Alberta Xtreme’s U17 Prep squad have been searching for a run of consistent results all season long. After winning three of their first four games, NAX maintained just under a .500 record, not yet achieving three straight wins since early October. A massive 11-2 win over the Indigenous Sports Academy in their most recent game gave NAX the opportunity to pick up their second consecutive win on Friday against the Pilot Mound Hockey Academy, a team they’re slated to play again in just one week. NAX started the game on the front foot, and while they took the lead early, PMHA never stopped snapping at their heels. Pilot Mount tied the game at one, and after NAX scored two more, PMHA responded in kind to square the game at 3. A late burst of second-period offence from Northern Alberta saw Eli Piquette and Seth Kyshyk score to give NAX a 5-3 lead through two. PMHA fought back in the third, playing their best period of the game, and managed to pull one back off the stick of Maddox Ramage (1G, 2A), but only pulled back within one, with NAX hanging on for the win.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (2) vs Yale Hockey Academy (6) U15 Prep
Will this be the weekend Yale’s winning streak gets snapped? Yale Hockey Academy’s U15 Prep squad have had their CSSHL schedule interrupted by both the Christmas break and the John Reid Memorial Tournament, but surrounding that, Yale has built a mammoth ten-game winning streak. They haven’t lost a CSSHL game since October, with Okanagan Hockey Academy the latest challenger to the 18-1-0 YHA. Unfortunately for OHA, the most productive YHA player all season didn’t take long in extending his point streak. Parker McMillan (2G, 1A) scored two goals in minutes to give Yale a fast start, one they’d only build upon from there. Ryker Stevens and Carter Di Stefano scored goals mere seconds apart in the second period, adding two more points in the third from Teagan Dernisky (1G, 2A) to give Yale an eventual 6-2 win.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (2) vs Yale Hockey Academy (3/OT) U15
The Summit Centre in Abbotsford hosted two games between the Okanagan Hockey Academy and Yale Hockey Academy on Friday afternoon: the first, the clash of the U15 Prep squads, and the second, a clash of the U15 squads. OHA’s U15 contingent won three of their previous four games, with Yale’s most recent game a loss that snapped a six-game winning streak. Yale led twice in regulation, with OHA fighting back each time. Owen Dumansky gave YHA a 1-0 lead in the first, one they’d maintain until Bates Wallgren (1G, 1A) tied it for OHA early in the third. Later in the period, Yale led 2-1 through Daniel Valchev (1G, 1A), before Reece Verrier tied the game at two for OHA, forcing overtime. Come OT, Matthew Tang scored a perfectly-placed wrist shot to seal the 3-2 win for Yale. Tang, the right-shot defenceman, now has seven goals and four assists in his last ten games, including two overtime winners.
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (5) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (2) Female U18 Prep
The Pilot Mound Hockey Academy’s Female U18 Prep squad have not fared well against RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg this season. Heading into Friday, RHAW had won all three previous matchups, doing so by a combined score of 29-3. Things wouldn’t improve for PMHA in their fourth clash, with early goals from RHAW’s Raina Chala and Jordan Downey giving their team a 2-0 lead. PMHA goaltender Allie Attema (54/59) did everything she could, but RHAW outshot PMHA heavily throughout the game, culminating in a 59-19 margin through three periods. Rowyn Street provided three helpers, and while Mars McHenry (17/19) wasn’t too busy in the RHAW net, she did enough to lead her team to the 5-2 win.
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (2) vs Shawnigan Lake School (3) U15 Prep
Heading into Friday, Shawnigan Lake School’s U15 Prep squad remained in search of their first victory of 2026. In fact, Shawnigan came in still in search of their second victory this season. PCHA bested Shawnigan twice prior to Friday, with the two teams set to square off once more on Sunday. Despite PCHA largely controlling the game, Shawnigan made good on the opportunities they earned. Nathan MacDonald scored a power-play goal in the first period to give Shawnigan the lead, and while Brayden Lindsay tied the game for the Sea Devils early in the second, David Qi put Shawnigan back in front barely two minutes later. The middle frame saw Shawnigan kill off three PCHA power plays, and Nate Brocklehurst rewarded the penalty killers by extending the lead to 3-1 for SLS by the end of the second period. Jason Thomson pulled one back for PCHA, but aside from that, Shawnigan goaltender Carter Burgi (39/41) stood tall, shutting the door in the third period. Burgi’s squad held on to snatch their second win of the season.
Ontario Hockey Academy Mavericks (2) vs Okanagan Hockey Ontario (1) East U18 Prep
A Friday nightcap between the Ontario Hockey Academy Mavericks and Okanagan Hockey Ontario saw an OHA Mavericks team looking for an end-of-January turnaround, with the Mavericks losing four of their previous five heading into Friday. OHO won both of their games in December, but had played only one league game in January prior to Friday, a loss at the hands of Fort Erie. Adam Clark scored for OHO in the first, with Fabian Kotschan’s first of the season pulling the Mavericks back to level through two. With under six minutes left in the third, the Mavericks finally made good on their third powerplay of the game. Dmitrii Titovskii scored his seventh goal in his last seven games to give the Mavericks the late 2-1 lead, with goaltender Adam Voracek (28/29) shutting the door in the third to help OHOM hold on for the win.
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (6) vs Notre Dame Hounds (4) U15 Prep
The U15 Prep squads of RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg and the Notre Dame Hounds have four head-to-head clashes on their January schedule, two previous to Friday, with the last tomorrow. RHA Winnipeg won the previous two by big margins, a trend that wouldn’t continue into Friday. RHAW and Notre Dame snapped back and forth at one another throughout, with the Hounds turning 1-0 and 2-1 deficits into a 3-2 lead in the second period. They’d spend 13 minutes in front, but unfortunately, once RHAW regained control, the Hounds couldn’t fight back. David Ring tied the game, Eli Wasylyk (2G, 1A) scored late in the second short-handed, Easton Pitz (1G, 1A) scored early in the third to completely turn around RHAW’s 3-2 deficit into a 5-3 lead. Max Sanders (1G, 1A) sealed the deal with a goal in the third en route to the RINK Winnipeg victory.
Edge School (1) vs OHA Edmonton (4) U18 Prep
Edge School and OHA Edmonton’s U18 Prep squads are amongst the best Alberta teams in the division, with Friday’s matchup the third head-to-head clash between the two teams this season. The teams split the previous two with one win apiece, with both teams winning on home ice previously. OHAE hosted Edge on Friday, a game deadlocked at one through two periods. Edge School outshot OHAE in each of the three periods, doubling up their opponents 42-21 through all, but OHAE were clinical in taking their third-period chances. Ben Shaw (1G, 1A), Brayden Tucker (1G, 1A), and Keenan Fox (1G, 1A) all scored in the third for OHAE to make the difference offensively, with Dyson Loewen (41/42) standing tall in between the pipes to lead OHAE to the 4-1 win.
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (4) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (6) U18 Prep
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy and the South Alberta Hockey Academy’s U18 Prep squads traded blows in their Friday evening clash, and while Pilot Mound never ceased their fight, SAHA came out in front. South Alberta led 2-0 through twenty minutes of play, but two quick goals from Collin Friedrich (2G, 1A) pulled the Buffaloes back to 2-2. That, however, would be where SAHA took over. SAHA scored two more, and this time, PMHA didn’t have the counter required. Dylan Sherban’s third-period goal ultimately made the difference as the game-winner in SAHA’s 6-4 win.
Okanagan Hockey Academy Black (2) vs Delta Hockey Academy Black (6) Female U18 Prep
Delta Hockey Academy Black and the Okanagan Hockey Black’s Female U18 Prep squads clashed on Friday in their third of what will be five head-to-head matchups in less than a month, with the first two ending in significant DHA Black victories. Unfortunately for OHAB, that trend would continue. Zinnia Lin scored twice, aided by three points apiece from Addi McFegan (1G, 2A), and Abbie Magnuson (1G, 2A). DHAB’s 6-2 win adds to their 6-1 and 8-2 wins over OHA Black from earlier in January. The two teams have now played six time previous, with Delta Black prevailing in each one, and have two more to go this weekend.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (2) vs BWC Academy (7) U15 Prep
There’s nothing RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna’s U15 Prep squad could do to combat the offensive explosion from BWC Academy in the first two periods. BWC outshot RHAK 23-5 in the first and 28-11 in the second, sprinting into the lead with five goals in just 15 minutes of action. Kenzo Gibson (2G, 3A) had a monster five-point game, aided by two goals and three points apiece from both Kristian Lima and Ethan Kartadinata. RHAK mounted a solid third period, but by then, the damage was done. BWC hit the RHAK net with 68 shots in the entirety of their 7-2 win.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (5) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (3) U17
The Okanagan Hockey Academy’s U17 squad have been excellent in their division this season, winning 21 of 29 heading towards Friday’s clash with Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy. It looked like CDA had the game in their control in the first half of the game, with two first-period goals establishing a 2-0 lead that would turn into a 3-1 lead in the second. However, down by two, OHA came storming back. Nathan Tan, Cole Schellenberg (1G, 1A), and Dryden Rayburn went on a run of three straight goals for OHA, swinging the game into a 4-3 lead in their favour. Tyler Donaldson’s 5-3 goal provided OHA the insurance required, and goaltender Holden Tamm (30/33) shut the door from there, stopping everything CDA threw at him in the third period to help OHA hang on for the victory.
