RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (5) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (8) U15
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna came into Sunday riding a two‑game win streak over Coeur d’Alene, having edged them 3–2 and 7–6 in the previous two days, but CDA, powered by two of the league’s most dangerous scorers in TJ Podollan (2G, 1A) and Jagger Clark (3G, 2A), finally broke through in a big way, taking an 8–5 win in this high‑scoring game. RHA Kelowna actually opened the scoring through Hudson Pearce (1G, 1A), but CDA responded with five straight goals across the first two periods, including markers from Blake Legler (1G), Clark, and Cash Sanford (2G, 1A), building a lead they would never surrender. RINK Kelowna pushed back late, with Kingston Prenioslo (2G) and Landen Gray (1G, 1A) helping cut into the deficit, but every surge was met by another CDA punch, most notably Clark’s third of the game and Podollan’s second, both arriving in the third period. Even with both teams firing over 40 shots, CDA’s top line proved too much, snapping their four‑game winless skid and finally solving a RINK Kelowna group that had beaten them twice already this weekend.
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (3) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (4) U15 Prep
South Alberta Hockey Academy continued their season‑long dominance over Pilot Mound on Sunday by securing a 4–3 victory that extended PMHA’s losing streak to six games. SAHA, led by top producers Mason Bryksa (2A) and Nash Davis (1A), jumped out to a 2–0 lead less than three minutes in and added a back‑breaking power‑play goal from Mark Ma (1G) with one second left in the second period. Down 3–0 entering the third, Pilot Mound finally found life, with Hinata Hashimoto (1G), Wyatt Wentworth (1G), and leading scorer Nash Ramage (1G, 1A) driving a late push that cut the deficit to one. But every time PMHA threatened, SAHA had an answer—most notably Hudson Gilchrist (1G), whose goal midway through the third stood as the game‑winner. Despite a spirited final frame from Pilot Mound, SAHA’s early surge and special‑teams edge carried them to a fourth straight win in the season series.
Yale Hockey Academy (0) vs Delta Hockey Academy Black (7) U15
Delta Hockey Academy Black and Yale Hockey Academy came into Sunday as two of the hottest teams in the division, both riding winning streaks and with Yale having taken two of the three previous meetings this season, but Delta tore the script to shreds with a ruthless 7–0 dismantling that showcased every layer of their firepower. Wynn Carey (1G) opened the scoring late in the first, and from there the floodgates simply refused to close. The second period belonged to Delta’s top guns, with Lukas Kravcak (1G, 1A), Easton Isfeld (1G, 1A), and Nate Anderson (1G) piling on three goals in a ten‑minute span, including a shorthanded strike and a power‑play marker that left Yale reeling. Any hope of a third‑period push evaporated almost instantly when Anderson (2G, 1A) scored 31 seconds in, Bentley Gillis (1G, 1A) followed soon after, and Weston Patrick (1G) capped the onslaught as Delta outshot Yale 46–32 and smothered every attempt at a response. Holter Karpiak’s 32‑save shutout sealed the statement win, snapping Yale’s streak and adding to Delta’s.
OHA Edmonton (5) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (2) U15
OHA Edmonton entered Sunday on a seven‑game heater and already boasting three decisive wins over Prairie Hockey Academy this season, and they wasted no time asserting that dominance again in a 5–2 victory that felt firmly in their control after the opening period. Prairie actually struck first, through Lucas Duchscherer’s (2G) two goals, including a shorthanded marker, but OHA Edmonton pushed back. Niko Vujanic (2G) answered both PHA goals in the first to send things into intermission tied, and from there OHA Edmonton’s depth and special teams took over. Cohen Courchesne (1G), Jiseong Kim (1G), and Damon Chinski (1G) all scored in a second period that tilted the ice heavily in OHA’s favour, with Kim’s power‑play finish serving as the dagger. Bronson Kasturi’s steady 27‑save performance ensured Prairie never found a way back, and OHA Edmonton extended their streak to eight straight wins.
Notre Dame Hounds (2) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (6) U17 Prep
Pilot Mound and Notre Dame came into Sunday desperate to snap their respective skids, PMHA winless in four, Notre Dame in six. With Pilot Mound having already taken both previous meetings this season, the Hounds needed a spark that never truly arrived in a 6–2 PMHA win. Pilot Mound set the tone instantly, with Bladen Norton (2G) scoring 69 seconds in and Xianen Evans (2G) doubling the lead minutes later. Notre Dame briefly steadied things through Kellen Palmer‑Johnson (1G), but the second period unraveled fast. Norton struck shorthanded to restore the two‑goal cushion, Daan Melchior (1G, 1A) added another, and although Reg Huebner (1G) pulled ND within reach on the power play, PMHA’s special teams crushed any hope of a comeback. Evans and Maddox Ramage (1G, 1A) scored back‑to‑back power‑play goals in the final two minutes of the frame, blowing the game wide open. Yuki Kido’s 33‑save performance ensured the third period passed without drama while handing Notre Dame a seventh straight loss.
OHA Edmonton (4) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (3) U17
OHA Edmonton beat RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg with a composed 4–3 win that leaned on timely scoring and a heavy shot advantage. OHA struck just 85 seconds in through Preston Boettcher (1G, 1A), and while RHA Winnipeg answered on the power play, the visitors reclaimed the lead late in the first when top scorer Nate McRorie (2G) buried a man‑advantage marker. The second period turned into a tug‑of‑war: RINK Winnipeg briefly surged ahead with goals from Hein Mierau (1G) and Grayson Speirs (1G), but OHA’s response was immediate. Jackson Konelsky (1G, 1A) tied the game on the power play, and McRorie struck again in the final minute to restore the lead heading into the third. From there, OHA Edmonton’s structure took over, outshooting the locals 18–5 in the final frame and closing the door defensively while Maxime Poitras made 19 saves to secure the win. OHA Edmonton capped the weekend with back‑to‑back victories and continued their strong run against a RINK Winnipeg team they’ve largely controlled all season.
Northern Alberta Xtreme (5) vs Notre Dame Hounds (2) U18 Prep
Northern Alberta Xtreme and Notre Dame met for the second time this season, with NAX already holding a 3–0 win from November and the Hounds entering on a three‑game skid. The gap between the teams showed in a 5–2 NAX victory built on pace, pressure, and a lethal power play. Luka Samu (1G, 1A) opened the scoring just 70 seconds in on the man advantage, and Teagen Bouchard (1G) doubled the lead with two seconds left in the first. The second frame only widened the divide: Easton Arndt (1G) and Kalen Miles (1G, 1A) pushed the lead to 4–0, with Miles’ power‑play strike serving as the dagger. Ahmad Fayad (1G, 2A), one of NAX’s top producers, added a fifth early in the third before Notre Dame finally broke through late with goals from Henrik Holt (1G) and Jordan Van Langen (1G), but the damage had long been done. NAX outshot the Notre Dame 41–21, went 2‑for‑6 on the power play, and controlled every phase of play as they hand Notre Dame a fourth straight loss.
Notre Dame Hounds (0) vs Edge School (9) U17
Edge School and Notre Dame met for the third time in as many days on Sunday, with Edge already having claimed 4–0 and 6–1 wins earlier in the weekend, and the finale proved even more lopsided. Riding a six‑game winning streak and boasting one of the league’s most explosive forward groups, Edge overwhelmed the Hounds 9–0 in a game where the shot clock (58–27) told the story as clearly as the scoreboard. Curtis Troeger (2G) opened the scoring midway through the first, and from the moment Ben MacBey (2G) struck seven seconds into the second period, the floodgates burst wide open. Edge piled on three goals in a four‑minute span, Troeger again, then Kyden Bartole (2G, 3A) and his line taking over the game entirely. The third period became a showcase of Edge’s depth, with Brik McCord Cooper (1G), MacBey, Easton Armstrong (1G, 4A), Kylar Alves (1G, 1A), and Bartole all adding to the avalanche. Chase Miles turned aside all 27 shots he faced for the shutout, while Notre Dame, who had beaten Edge back in October, simply couldn’t slow a team that has now outscored them 19–1 over the weekend and continues to look every bit like a powerhouse at the top of the division.
Delta Hockey Academy White (7) vs STAR Hockey Academy (1) U15
Delta Hockey Academy White entered the day on a six‑game heater and already holding a win over STAR from the day before. They wasted no time asserting that gap again in a 7–1 victory defined by relentless pressure and a top line that simply couldn’t miss. Four first‑period goals set the tone, with Reidar Stava (1G), Easton Medved (2G, 1A), and Jaiven Chatha (1G) all finding the back of the net while Seven Xie (1G, 3A), one of Delta’s leading scorers, pulled the strings on nearly every sequence. Delta kept their foot down in the second, adding another through Donivan Cominetti (1G, 1A), and by the time STAR finally broke through early in the third, the game had long been out of reach. Noah Yoo (1G, 1A) restored the cushion minutes later, and Xie capped his four‑point morning with a power‑play marker to close out the scoring. With a 58–20 shot advantage, a perfect 2‑for‑2 power play, and another composed outing from Tyler Rydberg (18/19), Delta completed the weekend sweep and extended STAR’s winless streak to 13 games in a matchup that never felt in doubt.
Edge School (3) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (9) U15 Prep
Northern Alberta Xtreme overwhelmed Edge School in a 9–3 statement win, continuing their season‑long dominance in this matchup and extending their strong form with another explosive offensive showing. Coming in with a 3‑0 record against Edge this season, NAX wasted no time reasserting control. Rylan Edwards (3G, 2A), one of the team’s top scorers, delivered a hat trick and five‑point performance, while linemate Jett Evans (4A) piled up four assists as NAX erupted for six goals in a wild second period. Danel Ramazanov (2G, 1A), the team’s leading scorer, added two more goals to his season tally, and the NAX power play continued to be a weapon with two goals on three chances. Edge, who entered the game on a two‑game skid, showed flashes with goals from James Butterwick (2G) and Josh Pomeroy (1G), but couldn’t contain NAX’s depth or pace. With NAX now riding a fresh win and boasting a 17‑4‑0‑1 record, and Edge dropping to 11‑6‑1‑0.
Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (1) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (4) U18 Prep
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna U18 Prep closed out the weekend with a composed 4–1 win over Coeur d’Alene, pulling away late in the third after a tight, low‑scoring battle through forty minutes. CDA opened the scoring when Matej Bydzovsky (1G) scored his 10th of the season, but that would be their lone strike against a sharp Micah Davidson, who turned aside 20 of 21. Kelowna answered quickly through Reid Rabinovitch (1G), then seized full control in the third: Louis James Prystupa (2G) buried twice, including the empty‑netter, while Max Reed (1G) added another. CDA’s slide continues, while RINK Kelowna extends its season‑series dominance and keeps rolling.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (9) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (6) U15
Okanagan Hockey Academy U15 exploded offensively in a wild 9–6 win over Pacific Coast, powered by a monster night from Kristian Bowen (4G, 1A), who scored in every period and completely took over the game. OHA struck early on the power play through Reece Verrier (1G, 1A), followed minutes later by Bowen’s first, while PCHA answered with Koen Nicholas (1G) to keep it close. The second period turned into a track meet: Bowen added another, Teppei Noguchi (1G) and Liam Pratt (1G) chipped in, and Lukas Pandachuck (1G) buried one as well, while PCHA stayed in reach thanks to goals from Austin Murray (1G, 1A), Jake Shade (1G), and Luke Bowes (2G, 1A). The third saw PCHA’s Tate Davis (1G) strike early, but OHA slammed the door with goals from Cruz Rasmussen (1G, 1A) and two more from Bowen, set up repeatedly by Max Chen (4A) and Lance Bryant (4A), who both ran the offense with elite distribution. Bowes added a late power‑play marker, but it wasn’t enough to slow an OHA.
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (9) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (3) U17
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy U17 overwhelmed Coeur d’Alene with a 9–3 win, powered by a relentless offensive surge and a dominant 57–40 shot advantage. Nixon Szadkowski (2G), Jackson Squire (3G, 2A), and Trent Porter (2G, 3A) drove the attack, with Squire completing a hat trick across all three periods and Porter factoring in on five goals. Hudson Elke (1G, 3A) and Sebastian Quast (1G, 1A) added key support, while Lucas Ross (2A) quietly chipped in from the perimeter. CDA’s pushback came from Blake Celski (1G, 2A) and Kirill Zhikharev (2G, 1A), who combined for all three goals, but they couldn’t keep pace as PCHA repeatedly capitalized. Goaltender Leon Auburger (37/40) held firm when needed, sealing a complete team performance and a decisive win.
Selwyn House School (2) vs Stanstead College (8) East U17 Prep
Stanstead College overwhelmed Selwyn House 8–2 in a game where the scoring depth and puck movement were simply too much to handle, with Stanstead striking early and never loosening their grip. Mathieu Généreux (1G) opened the floodgates just 67 seconds in, followed later in the first by Jack Adams (1G, 1A). The second period turned into a full‑scale surge: Kristian Tlstovic (1G, 1A), Joshua Seeback (2G, 1A), Alex Jankular (1G), and Eliot Faucher (1G, 1A) all found the back of the net as Stanstead College piled up four goals in under twelve minutes. Seeback struck again just 25 seconds into the third, and Vincent Chevrier (1G) added another to make it eight. Selwyn House salvaged some pride late with goals from Domenico Cristofaro (1G) and Joel Downey (1G), but Jacob Maddox’s steady 22‑save performance ensured the outcome was never in doubt.
Shawnigan Lake School (1) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (8) Female U18 Prep
The Okanagan Hockey Academy Female U18 Prep squad had only four games on their January docket. After splitting results against North Shore and Delta Green one week prior, their two games on January 23 and January 25 both needed to end positively for OHA to escape the month with a winning record. After their 9-1 win over OHAB on Friday, OHA sprinted out to the lead against Shawnigan on Sunday, with Hayden Wild’s first goal of the season setting OHA on their way, establishing a lead that her team would only build upon from there. Lylah Dietz (3G) scored a natural hat-trick for OHA in another huge win, this time by an 8-1 scoreline.
North Shore Warriors (3) vs Delta Hockey Academy Black (2) Female U18 Prep
The North Shore Warriors and Delta Hockey Academy Black Female U18 Prep squads squared off head-to-head on Friday in a game that saw Delta’s comeback rendered moot by a North Shore shootout victory. The Warriors remained the only team to best DHAB since November, going in, looking to win their second consecutive against their regional rivals in the evenly-matched clash. Delta led 2-1 heading towards the game’s end, but an unfortunately-timed boarding penalty gave North Shore a crucial powerplay. Taylor Siemens scored for the Warriors to knot things up at two, and with the game tied in the last four minutes, one more chance was the decider. Peyton Mages (2G) scored her second goal of the game to give North Shore a 3-2 lead, with goaltender Emma Ward (32/34) standing tall late to shut the door. Ward’s win, now her ninth of the season, brings her GAA to 1.28 and SV% to .964.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (2) vs St. George’s School (3/OT) U15 Prep
St. George’s School and Okanagan Hockey Academy played just once this season in the U15 Prep season prior to this weekend, with St. George’s win in November emulated in their 6-1 win over OHA on Saturday night. OHA remained in search of their first win of 2026 heading into their second straight game against SGS, and while Sunday’s contest would be a lot closer than Saturday’s, OHA’s efforts came up short. St. George’s led 2-1 throughout the whole third period, often threatening to extend their lead, but late, OHA stole an equalizer. Levi Thiessen’s short-side rip gave OHA some life, but less than one minute into overtime, St. George’s crushed the OHA dream, with Jayden Ni (2G, 1A) scoring on a breakaway with an excellent move to the backhand, winning it for St. George’s.
Edge School (5) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (0) Female U18 Prep
Edge School defeated the Northern Alberta Xtreme’s Female U18 Prep squad 4-0 on Saturday on the back of Abigail Lee’s two goals and Alexis Ehrman’s shutout win. The goaltender of choice for Edge was different on Sunday, but save for that, a similar trajectory unfolded. Abigail Lee scored a hat-trick, the first shorthanded, and Edge School’s Jenna Ring (15/15) stood tall in between the pipes to earn the shutout. NAX’s January ends with Northern Alberta still in search of their first win in 2026.
Delta Hockey Academy (6) vs BWC Academy (3) U15 Prep
Delta Hockey Academy’s U15 Prep squad have been one of the hardest to beat in the entire division this season, losing just two in regulation of their 22 previous to Sunday’s against BWC. DHA hadn’t lost in the league since November 28 against Yale, a fact that remains true after Sunday’s clash with BWC. It took Delta eight seconds on their first powerplay to hit the front thanks to Ronan Gow’s (2G) early goal, establishing DHA a lead they wouldn’t lose. BWC never stopped fighting back, getting to within one goal in both the second and third periods, but ultimately couldn’t come all the way back. Carson Brown (2G, 1A) scored twice in the eventual 6-3 win.
Delta Hockey Academy (4) vs Shawnigan Lake School (2) U18 Prep
‘
Shawnigan Lake School’s U18 Prep squad triumphed over RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna in a thriller in their first game of January, but since then, SLS haven’t been able to earn another positive result. Delta defeated Shawnigan 4-3 in a shootout on Saturday, with Sunday the second consecutive clash between these two teams. Shawnigan’s fight was again admirable, with SLS erasing a 2-0 deficit to send the game into its final stages tied, but that wasn’t enough. Kelowna Rockets prospect Jack Morgan (2G) scored his second goal of the game on a powerplay with less than three and a half minutes to go to give Delta the crucial lead, with an empty-netter capping off the 4-2 DHA win.
Calgary International Hockey Academy (4) vs Edge School (3) U18 Prep
Calgary International Hockey Academy’s offensive output has been hard for any team to counteract this season, with Sunday featuring Edge School’s U18 Prep squad as the latest victim of the consistently potent CIHA offence. Edge scored first and led 1-0, but that lead was only temporary, with Aeden McCarry and Calum Giese goals turning the game around before the end of the second. Declan Cardiff scored twice in the third period to seal the deal for CIHA, a pair of goals proven crucial after Edge scored twice in the closing stages to reduce the deficit to one.
Delta Hockey Academy (4) vs STAR Hockey Academy (1) U17
STAR Hockey Academy fell at the hands of Delta Hockey Academy on Saturday, with Sunday a rematch, giving STAR the chance at a bounce-back. Unfortunately for STAR, that hope was dashed by a dominant Delta performance. Delta outshot STAR in each period; 20-9 in the first, 18-5 in the second, and 14-4 in the third. Josh Racic, Brady Olson (1G, 1A), Riley Horne, and Victor Lee scored for Delta to make it 4-0, and while STAR grabbed one back at the end, Cole Chura’s 17 saves on 18 shots was enough for the 4-1 win.
Ulysse Academie (7) vs CIH Academy (1) East U18 Prep
Ulysse Academie’s first period in their Sunday clash with CIH Academy wasn’t all Ulysse needed to do; they still needed to play out the final forty minutes, but the damage done in the first twenty was enough to seal the deal. Four different goal scorers led Ulysse through the first period with a 4-0 lead after a period that saw Ulysse outshoot their opponent 21-4. Maddox Guerin (1G, 2A) finished off with three points for his squad to add to Vincent Gosselin’s pair of goals by the game’s end to see Ulysse to a 7-1 win.
Shawnigan Lake School (2) vs North Shore Warriors (12) U15 Prep
Will Thompson (4G) has been the main man for the North Shore Warriors’ U15 Prep squad, and on Sunday, Thompson was the guy to finally break through for North Shore. Shawnigan’s Bryce Roache (31/37) stopped everything North Shore threw at him for the bulk of the first, but with 70 seconds left, Thompson finally broke through to open the scoring and send North Shore into the second period up a goal. If the first-period goal was the kindling, Thompson’s start to the second period was the spark that lit the North Shore wildfire. Within 35 seconds, Thompson had scored two more to complete a natural hat-trick and give the Warriors a sudden 3-0 lead. Shawnigan looked shell-shocked, and North Shore took full advantage, completely dominating the second period. North Shore outshot Shawnigan 33-4 in a second period that saw them score nine goals en route to a 12-2 win, led by Thompson’s eventual four-goal performance.
Yale Hockey Academy (5) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (1) U17 Prep
Yale Hockey Academy’s U17 Prep squad came into Sunday having won all four of their previous January games, a winning streak that they extended on Sunday against PCHA. As had been the case throughout the month, Yale’s top dogs came to play, with Matteo Zenone (2G), Daniel Harvard (2A), Matthew Zaitchikov (2A), and Nicholas Voinea (1G, 1A) all chipping in with multi-point efforts. Lucca Tassone stopped 25 of 26 in the 5-1 win for Yale, who look to Saturday’s clash against North Shore to finish off January perfect.
BWC Academy (2) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (4) U17
The first period of Sunday’s game between BWC Academy and Okanagan Hockey Academy’s U17 squads had a strikingly obvious mirror effect to it; BWC dominated the first ten minutes, scoring twice, including a shorthanded goal. Then, OHA dominated the final ten minutes, scoring twice, including a shorthanded goal. Nathan Marques (2G) scored both for OHA, with the 2-2 scoreline holding all the way to the game’s final three minutes. Finally, Brysten Campbell scored his second of the month to give OHA the lead late, a goal added to with an OHA empty-netter to help Okanagan to the 4-2 win.
BWC Academy (8) vs Yale Hockey Academy (5) U18 Prep
BWC Academy’s U18 Prep squad fell at the hands of RINK Hockey Academy on January 10 in their first game of 2026, but since then, they’ve been perfect, winning four straight. Yale Hockey Academy were the next opponent in their crosshairs and proved a formidable opponent for BWC. Yale escaped the first up 2-1, and from there, BWC struggled to take the lead back. BWC tied the game three times in the second period, but at every turn, Yale managed to reestablish their lead. After Theron Bensler scored early in the third to give Yale a 5-4 lead, BWC were given the opportunity to mount a comeback on the back of their powerplay. Mark Lee (1G, 1A) scored to tie the game, Charlie Robinson finally gave BWC the lead, and Logan Lepinski (1G, 2A) made it 7-5, with all three BWC goals coming on the powerplay. An empty-netter sealed a thrilling 8-5 win for Burnaby.
