Ontario Hockey Academy Mavericks (3) vs King Heights Academy (6) East U18 Prep
King Heights Academy flipped the script on the season series Friday afternoon, using a relentless middle frame and a disciplined third to earn a 6–3 win over Ontario Hockey Academy Mavericks. OHA struck early behind a pair from Dmitrii Titovskii (2G), with Oliver Gregor Janac (1G, 1A) and Aaron Wood (1A) feeding him, but King Heights answered quickly through Felix Allard (2G) and never let the game settle. The second period belonged entirely to KHA, as Allard, Semen Nizhnikov (1G, 1A), and Tyler Koss (1G, 1A) turned a tight contest into a 4–2 advantage with sustained pressure. King Heights kept its foot on the gas in the third, opening the period with a power-play strike from Danila Kulinkovich (1G, 1A) before Misha Shelipov (1G, 3A) sealed the result late, capping off a dominant all-around performance. Despite a late response from Janac, Ontario couldn’t match King Heights, as the home side showcased balance, discipline, and timely finishing to secure the statement victory.
North Shore Warriors (1) vs Delta Hockey Academy (2/OT) U17
Delta Hockey Academy leaned on timely finishing to earn a hard-fought 2–1 overtime win over the North Shore Warriors, outshooting North Shore 54–19 in a tightly contested matchup. After a scoreless opening frame, Delta broke through midway in the second period when Toni Cipllaka (1G) snapped home the opener giving Delta a deserved 1–0 edge. North Shore refused to fold and finally solved Cole Chura late in the third, as Easton Fowler (1G) buried the tying goal with under three minutes to play to force overtime. The extra frame didn’t last long, as Peyton May (1G) finished off a clean setup from Jack Triance (1A) and Robbie Rydberg III (1A) on the quick zone entry just 1:56 in, sealing the victory for Delta. In goal, Chura (18/19) was steady with 18 saves on 19 shots, while Ben Boudreau (52/54) delivered a standout performance in defeat, turning aside 52 of 54 shots to keep North Shore competitive until the final moments.

North Shore struck first late in the opening frame when Gia Carella (1G) finished a well-worked play set up by Chloe Burgher (1A) and Madison Seitz (1G, 1A), then built momentum early in the second as Madison Brazeau (1G) converted on the power play and Seitz (1G, 1A) added another to give the Warriors a 3–0 cushion. Delta responded before the intermission through Kiernan Ledoux (1G), this sparked a push into the third as Alex Wu (1G) and Ailee Cooper (1G, 1A) erased the deficit. With time winding down, Elise Miller (1G, 1A) briefly restored North Shore’s lead, but Kinleigh Blane (1G, 2A) answered in the final minute to force extra time. OHA Edmonton put on a relentless, wave-after-wave offensive display overwhelming Notre Dame Hounds 20–1 in a game that was effectively decided within the opening minutes. OHA Edmonton stormed out to a 7–0 first-period lead, sparked by early goals from Micah Montgomery (1G, 1A), Erik Miller (2G, 1A), and Artello Forestal (1G, 2A), while Jaxson Weisgerber (2G, 4A) and Deacon Gillespie (4G, 3A) repeatedly punished Notre Dame. The second period offered no relief, as the home team poured in eight more goals, highlighted by shorthanded tallies from Kane Strudwick (1G, 6A) and Gillespie, showing both depth and discipline while stretching the lead to 15–1 despite Notre Dame getting on the board through a power-play marker from Jax Baumuller (1G). The onslaught continued in the third with goals from Ian Kim (1G), Marek Pashko (1G, 1A), Steven Martyniuk (2G, 2A), Steven Leavitt (1G, 1A), and Nate Harrington (1G, 2A), capping off a dominant 80-shot performance. In net, Rowen Germain (11/12) turned aside 11 of 12 shots to calmly backstop the win.
Delta Hockey Academy (5) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (2) U15 Pre
Delta Hockey Academy continued its strong run with a convincing 5–2 win over RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna, controlling the pace from the opening shift and never looking back. Delta wasted no time getting on the board just 13 seconds in when Miles Teiffel (1G) jumped on an early opportunity, with Eli Vickers (2A) and Rylan Bassi (1A) setting him up, and although Jaxon Lodge (1G) answered for RHA Kelowna later in the period, Ronan Gow (1G) restored Delta’s lead on the power play off crisp puck movement from Vickers and Nathan Roberts (2A). The second period saw Delta fully seize control, as Easton Isfeld (1G) and Braelyn Nunley (1G, 1A) extended the lead with back-to-back goals generated by sustained offensive-zone pressure. RHA Kelowna found a brief spark in the third with a power-play marker from Nixon McLean (1G), but any momentum was quickly shut down when Jake Dunlop (1G) scores Delta’s second power-play goal. Delta dominated the shot clock 51–14, while Max Davis (46/51) faced relentless pressure as Delta’s depth, discipline, and special teams proved decisive.
Notre Dame Hounds (2) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (9) U17 Prep
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg delivered a dominant, wire-to-wire performance on Friday, rolling past Notre Dame 9–2 behind relentless pressure and lethal special teams. RHA Winnipeg opened the scoring late in the first when Colton Ross (2G, 2A) buried a power-play marker set up by Brady Filmon (2G, 2A) and Markus Knaub (1G, 1A), setting the tone in a period heavily tilted by shots. The floodgates opened early in the second as Filmon struck just 22 seconds in, before Notre Dame briefly responded with a power-play goal from Clive Harazny (1G) and an even-strength tally by Lukas Lundgren (1G). Any momentum was short-lived, as RHA Winnipeg answered with rapid-fire goals from Drayden Champagne (1G), Knaub (1G, 1A), and Ross (2G, 2A) in the final minutes of the frame to blow the game open. The third period became a showcase of RINK Winnipeg’s special teams, with Murphy Johnston (1G), Conner Lamb (1G), and Atley Feniuk (1G) all converting on the power play before Filmon (2G, 2A) capped the scoring late. Miller Fettes (25/27) was steady in net with 25 saves, while Trent Probst (56/65) faced a barrage of 65 shots, as RHA Winnipeg’s pace, puck movement, and power-play execution proved overwhelming from start to finish.
St. George’s School (6) vs North Shore Warriors (5) U18 Prep
St. George’s School held on for a tight 6–5 victory over the North Shore Warriors in a fast-paced, back-and-forth contest at the North Shore Winter Club. St. George’s jumped out early with first-period goals from Josh Gravistin (1G, 2A) and Louis Oscar Holowaychuk (1G), but North Shore answered with tallies from Vlad Ibragimov (3G) and Ellis Martschuk (1G) to even things up 2–2 after one. The middle frame tilted in St. George’s favour as Isaac Derksen (3G, 1A) scored twice and Byron Chin (1G) added a power-play marker, while Ibragimov struck again for the Warriors to keep it close at 5–3 heading into the third. Derksen completed his hat trick just 54 seconds into the final period to give St. George’s some breathing room, but North Shore pushed back hard. Ibragimov finished a hat trick of his own midway through the third, and Sidney Bellfoy (1G, 1A) added a shorthanded goal to cut the deficit to one, making for a tense finish. Despite the late surge, St. George’s managed the final minutes and got solid goaltending from Les Toth (33/38), who stopped 33 shots. Isaac Derksen (3G, 1A) led the way offensively for St. George’s, while Vlad Ibragimov (3G) was the standout for North Shore in the narrow loss.
Edge School (4/OT) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (3) U15
Edge School U15 earned a hard-fought 4–3 overtime victory over Northern Alberta Xtreme on Friday night, grinding out the win despite being outshot and tested late. NAX struck first when Cohen Aquino (1G) finished an early chance, but Edge responded quickly as Colton Roussel (2G) buried his first of the night to tie the game. Then Northern Alberta Xtreme regained the lead on a power-play marker from Jesse Zhu (1G). In the second, Edge answered again when Nash Klimpke (1G) capitalized to even the score, before Rykker Kurka (1G) gave NAX their third one-goal lead of the game. Late in the frame, Roussel continued his strong night, snapping home his second to tie the game and send everyone to OT where Nixon Reid-Dinning (1G) ended it at 2:14. In goal, Sammy Brushett (68/75) faced relentless traffic making 68 saves as OHA Edmonton controlled every facet of the game from start to finish.
STAR Hockey Academy (2) vs Yale Hockey Academy (14) U15 Prep
“David and Goliath” is about the kind of situation STAR Hockey Academy found themselves in on Friday. Yale Hockey Academy had won 16 of 17 in the U15 Prep division going in, while STAR had lost 16 of 18, making this a contest of contrasts. STAR can’t be faulted for their efforts to start, with David trading blows with Goliath for the whole first half of the hockey game. The dam finally broke, though, with Yale blowing the game open after Mason Cumiskey’s (3G, 1A) second-period go-ahead goal. STAR couldn’t stay in the game in a third period that saw Yale hit their net with 40 shots. YHA’s big gun fired off four goals, with Parker McMillan scoring a natural hat-trick in the second period to bring his season totals to 35 goals and 38 assists so far.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (9) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy Black Female (1) U18 Prep
The Okanagan Hockey Academy and Okanagan Hockey Academy Black Female U18 Prep squads play twice head-to-head this season, with Friday’s game following the two teams’ first meeting on November 28. On that day, OHA dominated, winning 4-1. Friday’s game followed a similar trajectory, evidenced by OHA scoring two shorthanded goals in less than two minutes early in the first period. Three points apiece from Marin Deadmarsh (2G, 1A), Sara Gerdel (1G, 2A), and Audrina Freeman (1G, 2A) led the way for OHA, who managed to limit OHAB to just 12 shots in the game in a 9-1 win.
OHA Edmonton (0) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (1/OT) U17
OHA Edmonton’s U17 squad won their first game of 2026 in overtime, besting North Shore 2-1, but save for that, it had been a crushing January. They went on to lose four straight games, all of which were very tightly-fought but ultimately seeing OHAE on the wrong side of a close game. Unfortunately for them, that story persisted into Friday. OHAE produced the bulk of the game’s scoring chances, but at every turn, ran into RHAW’s DJ Mecas (49/49). To Maxime Poitras’ (28/29) credit, the OHAE goaltender stood on his head at times as well, and was a big part of what carried the game into overtime scoreless. With 43 seconds left, Arcadian Anderson did an excellent job at holding possession of the puck in the offensive zone, drawing multiple OHAE defenders to him before sliding the puck to Jake Thorsteinson with some space in the middle. Thorsteinson scored to win it for RHAW 1-0 in overtime and earning Mecas an excellent 49-save shutout win.
Edge School (4) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (6) U15 Prep
Edge School and the Northern Alberta Xtreme’s U15 Prep squads both return to CSSHL action following the John Reid Memorial in St. Albert, a tournament which was won by NAX for the second consecutive year. “Championship Hangover” is a very real phenomena in sports, referring to a team or players struggling to return to “regular” games after such a jubilant point of their season. NAX looked at risk of succumbing to said phenomena with Edge School taking a 2-0 lead into the second period. As it turns out, though, NAX managed to get their legs back underneath them in the second, with goals from North Gilbertson and Justin Castonguay 19 seconds apart, quickly dragging NAX back to even ground. Emmett Abel would go on to score two in the third, rending Edge School’s formidable effort ultimately in vain, as NAX prevailed 6-4.
Notre Dame Hounds (0) vs Edge School (4) U17
Edge School’s U17 squad have been borderline unplayable this season; in 24 games prior to Friday, they’d only lost twice. However, one of those two losses came at the hands of the Notre Dame Hounds, who play Edge thrice in Calgary this weekend. The first of those three games on Friday belonged to Edge School, starting with the strong foundation provided by an excellent performance from Chase Miles (31/31), who shut the door early and consistently in net for the Mountaineers. Notre Dame played a disciplined game, but unfortunately, were made to pay on both of Edge School’s two powerplays. Easton Armstrong and Devin Kian Shape (1G, 1A) scored on them in the first and second periods, respectively. Carter Greaves (1G, 1A) and Curtis Troeger (1G, 1A) added goals, and Miles stopped all 13 of Notre Dame’s third-period shots to cap off his 31-save shutout and his team’s 4-0 win.
Prairie Hockey Academy (7) vs Notre Dame Hounds (0) U18 Prep
Prairie Hockey Academy won big against the Notre Dame Hounds in Notre Dame’s most recent game. The two provincial rivals play a total of five times this season, with Friday marking the third and Notre Dame’s opportunity to pick up their first head-to-head win. A ruthless PHA first period put those hopes to bed early, with four goals hitting the back of the Notre Dame net in a twenty-minute span that saw Prairie pump 25 shots the other direction. Prairie let their foot off the gas a little bit as the game went on, but still won in dominant fashion, with seven different goal scorers factoring in to a 7-0 victory.
Northern Alberta Xtreme (1) vs OHA Edmonton (9) Female U18 Prep
OHA Edmonton’s Female U18 Prep squad have been borderline unplayable this season. They’d won 20 of 21 heading into Friday, something NAX would have been acutely aware of, with OHAE’s three games prior to Friday all wins over their city rivals. The OHAE dominance continued early, often, and clinically. Avery Sam (3G, 1A) scored a hat-trick within 26 minutes of the game’s beginning, with her performance added by another hat-trick from Riley Cooper (3G, 2A) and four assists from Ryann Chimera. OHAE ended the game with a 9-1 win.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (4) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (6) U17
Okanagan Hockey Academy’s U17 squad have been tough to beat this season, only faltering in regulation four times in their 26 games heading into Friday’s clash with RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna. At the halfway point of the game, it looked like RHAK had the upper hand, successfully subduing their opponent with a 3-1 lead. A pair of second-period OHA power plays turned the game on its head, though, starting with Nathan Marques (1G, 3A) scoring his 30th goal of the season. Marques then set up Cole Schellenberg (1G, 2A) to tie the game, with OHA’s special teams only factoring in more from there. Thomas Biggerstaff scored shorthanded, and Kohlby Foster scored a shorthanded and a powerplay goal, respectively, in 62 seconds to extend OHA’s lead further than RINK could make up. Tyler Donaldson (2G, 1A) scored the insurance marker late to secure his team a 6-4 win.
Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (6) vs Shawnigan Lake School (4) U18 Prep
This month, the world of teenage hockey saw Sweden snap a 14-year slump by winning the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship for the first time since 2012. Wenatchee’s U18 Prep team came into Friday facing down the prospect of snapping an ages-long slump of their own, having lost all of their previous 22 games this season. However, much like the Swedes, Wenatchee finally won. Six different players stepped up with goals for Wenatchee, with Tyce Thorson’s (1G, 1A) third-period tally standing as the game winner in his team’s 6-4 win. Tyler O’Keefee stopped 38 of 42 for the Wild.
Shawnigan Lake School (1) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (3) Female U18 Prep
Shawnigan Lake School really, really held their own on Friday against the RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna squad, who have been incredibly difficult to beat this season. The game marched towards the third period deadlocked 1-1, but with 74 seconds to go in the second, the most usual suspect popped up for RHAK. Kennedy Sisson’s 20th goal of the season gave RHAK the breakthrough, with RHA Kelowna adding one more in the third for the 3-1 win.
BWC Academy (1) vs Delta Hockey Academy White (4) U15
BWC Academy’s U15 squad have been one of the most consistent throughout their division this season, having won 23 of 27 prior to Friday. The control of their game against Delta Hockey Academy White was hard to debate. BWC outshot DHAW 49-19 in the game and 19-3 in the third period alone. That, however, wasn’t enough. DHAW’s Tyler Rydberg stopped 48 of 49 shots in the game, and Steven Xi (2G, 1A) scored twice to lead Delta to an admirable 4-1 win.
Delta Hockey Academy (4) vs BWC Academy (3) U17 Prep
Friday’s game between Delta Hockey Academy and BWC Academy was ostensibly two separate games in one; the first dominated by Delta and the second by BWC. Delta dominated the first 50 minutes of the game and led 4-0, marching towards the end of the third. That’s when the game flipped, and BWC poured everything they had at Delta. They nearly made it all the way back, with two goals from Connor Liu leading BWC back into the game. Delta outshot BWC 29-15 in the first two periods, but in the third, BWC outshot their opponent 24-7. BWC got within one, making it 4-3, but Delta’s Jack Utsunomiya (36/39) shut the door at the end of the game to help BWC over the finish line for the win.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (3) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (2) U15
RHA Kelowna’s start to their U15 game against CDA on Friday was crucial in propelling them towards a positive result. 26 seconds in, Sidney Mock (1G, 1A) scored for RHAK to establish an early lead. While CDA never stopped trying to fight back, RHAK never surrendered the lead. Harlan Grimsdell and Landen Gray scored to counteract CDA’s comeback efforts, eventually helping their RINK Kelowna team to a 3-2 win in Idaho.
