They both got the monkey off their back in the first period, sending the game into the second period knotted at one. LCC went on a run of three consecutive goals in the span of four minutes early in the second period, the last of which was scored by Gianluca Gatto (2G), who had two in the game. Ontario Hockey Academy rallied, scoring twice to make the game close, but couldn’t find the equalizer, and LCC prevailed 4-3.

YHA hit the STAR net with 54 shots in all, and by the time the second period had ended, they’d scored seven goals and ended the game as a contest. Four points apiece from Brady Barrett (2G, 2A) and RJ Livingson (2G, 2A) led Yale to the 8-3 win.

If Edge’s focus was to calm the game down and improve their defensive performances, they would have felt Saturday to be a rousing success. Oakland Black gave SAHA the lead on a first-period powerplay, but from there, the Edge School net remained shut and locked down. Rylan Saunders scored twice, once at the end of the first and once at the start of the second, to turn around the 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead. RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (3) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (6) U15
Delta Hockey Academy Black handed RINK Hockey Academy a thumping defeat last Saturday in RHAK’s first game of 2026, making this weekend’s back-to-back series against Okanagan Hockey Academy a crucial opportunity to bounceback and get in the win column in January. Luke Edgehouse (1G, 1A) hit the empty net to seal the 5-3 win.
Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (1) vs BWC Academy (4) U17

Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy, conversely, remained winless since December. They’d best STAR Hockey Academy in their last two games of 2025, but previously, they’d lost ten of their last eleven games. CDA never stopped fighting, but ultimately, the “skill guys” for BWC made the ultimate impact. Kaz Westcott (1G, 1A), Easton Coupland (1G, 1A), and Ryker Carson (1G, 1A) all scored a goal and two points, with goaltender Ethan Watson (38/39) standing tall to lead BWC to the win.

RHAK dominated the entire game. RINK outshot North Shore 14-3 in the first, 17-7 in the second, and 15-5 in the third, but despite that, North Shore’s Emma Ward (44/46) kept the game close. Sydney McIntosh (1G, 1A) shone through with a goal and an assist, with her goal standing as the game winner for RHAK in the 2-1 win, rendering Ward’s heroic performance moot.
