Canmore Eagles defenseman Zachary Cunningham has committed to Concordia University for the 2022/23 season.
Cunningham spent the last four seasons in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) split between the Eagles and Grande Prairie Storm. In 156 AJHL games the Grande Prairie, AB product recorded 13 goals and 20 assists.
Prior to his time in the AJHL Cunningham played two seasons in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) with the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX). In 2016/17 he would record 8 points in 25 U16 Prep games. The following season he would tally 15 points in 32 games, helping NAX capture a U18 Prep CSSHL League Championship.
