Yale Hockey Academy is proud to celebrate Ryan Michael, a five-year YHA alumnus and current captain of the Kamloops Blazers. His leadership, work ethic, and character continue to exemplify the very heart of our mission: Training Life Champions.
Ryan’s success as a WHL captain comes as no surprise to those who watched him grow through the YHA program. Known for his discipline, humility, and team-first attitude, Ryan embodies the values we strive to instill in every student-athlete who wears the Yale jersey.
Beyond his on-ice accomplishments, Ryan recently joined forces with Hockey Gives Blood, a national initiative that encourages players and fans to give back through blood donation and community involvement. As part of being an ambassador, he is looking for donors who would be willing to pledge a certain amount for every shot he takes on net this season. His goal is 175 shots! Ryan’s commitment to service reflects the same passion and integrity he shows in the game — leading by example and inspiring others to make a difference.
All of us at Yale Hockey Academy congratulate Ryan on his continued success and thank him for representing YHA with such pride, leadership, and heart — both on and off the ice. We also encourage everyone to join him in his goal of raising money / awareness for this worthy cause!
