Winterhawks sign Bevington

The Portland Winterhawks have signed Canadian Sport School Hockey League student athlete Jonah Bevington to a standard Western Hockey League (WHL) Player Agreement.

Bevington, 15, has attended OHA Edmonton the past three seasons. Most recently he netted 26 points (13-13-26) in 29 games with their Elite 15 team during the 2018-19 season.

The Yellowknife, NT product played two seasons with the OHA Edmonton Bantam Prep team, registering 40 points (15-25-40) in 59 games, along with adding five points (2-3-5) in eight post-season games, while winning the 2018 CSSHL Bantam Prep Championship.

The six-foot forward was selected in the fifth round, 109th overall, by the Winterhawks at the 2018 WHL Draft.
