Winnipeg signs Edwards to Standard Player Agreement

The Winnipeg Ice have signed Canadian Sport School Hockey League student athlete Brayden Edwards to a Western Hockey League Standard Player Agreement.

Edwards, 15, has attended the Yale Hockey Academy the past two seasons, most recently tallying 29 points (14-15-29) in 36 games with their U18 Prep team, as well as adding two assists in two games at the 2020 BDO CSSHL Championships.

The Abbotsford, B.C. product spent the 2018-19 season on the Yale Hockey Academy U15 Prep team, registering 31 points (14-17-31) in 26 games, along with six points (4-2-6) in five games at the 2019 BDO CSSHL Championships, helping his team capture the 2019 CSSHL U15 Prep Division Championship.

Edwards was selected in the sixth round, 127th overall, by the Ice at the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft.
