West Van Academy U18 Prep head coach Kelvin Cech has been named Head Coach and General Manager of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League’s (MJHL) newest member, the Niverville Junior A Hockey Club.
Cech will finish the 2021/22 Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) season with West Van, before joining Niverville April 1, 2022 ahead of the club’s inaugural season in 2022/23.
Originally from Edmonton, AB, Cech’s coaching resume includes four seasons as an assistant coach in U SPORTS with the University of British Columbia, and two seasons as Head Coach in the MJHL with the Winkler Flyers. Cech was named the MJHL Coach of the Year in 2019/20.
