The Moose Jaw Warriors have signed Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) forward Owen Berge to a Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreement (SPA).
Berge was drafted by the Warriors in the third round, 57th overall in the 2021 WHL Draft. The Edmonton, AB product has spent the last two seasons in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) with NAX.
During the 2020/21 season Berge recorded four goals and three assists in four U15 Prep games. This past season Berge finished tied for the U16 Prep division scoring with a team best 63 points in 36 games. He would add three goals and five assists in five playoff games as he helped NAX win their third straight CSSHL U16 Western Championship.
Berge’s older brother, Parker Berge, spent one season at NAX and is currently a member of the WHL’s Regina Pats.
