The Victoria Royals have signed two Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) student-athletes to Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreements.
Seth Fryer spent two seasons in the CSSHL with Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (PCHA). The Victoria, BC defenseman joined the program in 2020/21 with their U15 Prep team, before recording 17 points in 36 U16 Prep games this past campaign. The Royals originally selected Fryer in the 10th round, 206th overall at the 2021 WHL Draft.
A seventh round pick, 143rd overall at the 2022 WHL Draft, Dylan Ruff joined the Northern Alberta Xtreme U15 Prep team for the 2020/21 season. He would spend the 2021/22 U15 Prep season with the RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna team tallying 35 points in 29 games. The Sylvan Lake, AB forward will suit up for the RHA U17 Prep team this upcoming season.
