Victoria Adds Pair

The Victoria Grizzlies have added a pair of Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) student-athletes for the 2021/22 British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) season.

A fifth-round pick, 107th overall by Moose Jaw Warriors in the 2019 Western Hockey League (WHL) Bantam Draft, netminder Kyle Kelsey spent two years with BWC Academy. The Maple Ridge, BC product joined BWC in 2018/19, playing 16 U15 Prep games. The following season he would play 21 U16 Prep games, winning the CSSHL U16 Top Goaltender award finishing with a 0.920 save percentage and 2.91 goals against average.

Defenseman Hoyt Stanley played for the St. George’s School U15 Prep team during the 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons. A fourth-round pick, 81st overall by the Everett Silvertips in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft, Stanley had seasons of 15 and 36 points in 27 and 29 games.
