Vernon Adds Two More CSSHL Student-Athletes

The Vernon Vipers have added a pair of Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) student-athletes for the 2021/22 British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) season.

Having already added Luke Ashton, Ethan David and Seiya Tanka-Campbell, the Vipers will bring in five CSSHL student-athletes for next season with the recent additions of Tyler Chan and Greye Rampton.

Chan has spent the last three years with his hometown BWC Academy playing for their U15, U15 Prep and U18 Prep teams. A fifth-round pick, 100th overall in the 2020 Western Hockey League (WHL) Bantam Draft by the Spokane Chiefs, Chan was named the 2018/19 U15 Most Valuable Player after leading the division in assists (42) and points (69). In 68 CSSHL games the forward scored 51 goals and added 69 assists.

From Chilliwack, BC, Rampton has played for Yale Hockey Academy the last three years. He joined the program in 2018/19 in the U15 division, tallying 23 points in 30 games. The forward would record 14 points in 34 U16 Prep games the following year, before finishing this past season at the U17 Prep level with 6 points in 5 games.
