Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) student-athlete Niko Tsakumis has signed a Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreement (SPA) with the Seattle Thunderbirds.
Tsakumis joined the CSSHL in 2018/19 playing for Delta Hockey Academy’s U15 team, tallying 24 points in 30 games. The Vancouver, BC defenseman would suit up for Delta U15 Prep Green the following year, finishing with 32 points in 29 games. At the conclusion of the season the Thunderbirds would select Tsakumis in the sixth round, 117th overall in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft. Tsakumis would return to Delta in 2020/21, playing five games for their U17 Prep team.
