The Tri-City Americans have signed Yale Hockey Academy defenseman Kainoah Brankovic to a Western Hockey League (WHL) Scholarship and Development agreement.
Brankovic joined Yale in 2020/21 for the U15 Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) season. In four games the Port Coquitlam, BC product would record one assist.
The following season Brankovic would suit up for the Yale U15 Prep season where he would tally 3 goals and 17 assists. The Americans would then select him in the sixth round, 112th overall at the 2022 WHL Draft.
This past season Brankovic captained the Yale U17 Prep team, finishing with 10 goals and 28 assists in 31 games.
