The Tri-City Americans have signed OHA Edmonton alum Dwayne Jean to a Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreement (SPA).
The Edmonton, AB forward was originally undrafted in the WHL Bantam Draft but impressed the Americans staff at training camp and during league play the last few years.
Jean spent three seasons in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) including winning a CSSHL U15 Prep League Championship in 2017/18. He would return to the U15 Prep team the following season before making the jump to the U16 Prep division in 2019/20. In 82 CSSHL games Jean tallied 25 goals and 47 assists, leading his team in scoring in 2019/20 with 35 points in 35 games.
