The Medicine Hat Tigers have signed Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) student-athletes Kadon McCann and Matt Paranych to Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreements.
Selected in the second round, 23rd overall at the 2022 WHL Draft, McCann spent the 2021/22 CSSHL season with the RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna U15 Prep team. In 30 games the Cochrane, AB forward would record 22 goals and 23 assists, good enough for fourth in team scoring.
A defenseman from Edmonton, AB Paranych finished with 13 goals and 39 assists in 30 games, finishing second among all defenseman and first on OHA Edmonton U15 Prep in points. The Tigers selected Paranych in the third round, 45th overall at the 2022 WHL Draft.
