Tapper to lead OHO U18 Prep team

Okanagan Hockey Ontario (OHO) General Manager Paul Pascuzzi has announced that Brad Tapper has been named the Head Coach of the OHO U18 Prep team.

“I would like to thank Mike for his passion and commitment to our program during the first two years of operations,” said Pascuzzi. “I look forward to staying connected and having Mike focusing on skills development for the Okanagan Hockey Group. At the same time, I am excited to have Brad as our new Head Coach for the 2020-2021 season. I look forward to our student athletes returning to the ice under his guidance and leadership.”

Tapper joined OHO in March of 2019 after nine seasons of coaching professionally, including roles with the Grand Rapids Griffins, Rochester Americans and Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League.

As a player, the Whitby, Ont. product spent nine years playing professional hockey, including 71 games in the NHL with the Atlanta Thrashers and 132 games in the AHL where he won a Calder Cup with the Chicago Wolves in 2002. Prior to turning pro, Tapper was a second team All-American student athlete at Rensselaer Polytech Institute (RPI) from 1997 to 2000, registering 116 points (65-51-116) in 106 games.
