Tanaka-Campbell commits to Yale University

Canadian Sport School Hockey League student athlete Jojo Tanaka-Campbell has committed to attend and play NCAA hockey at Yale University beginning with the 2020-21 season.

Tanaka-Campbell, 18, spent the past four seasons attending and playing for Shawnigan Lake School, the last three with their Midget Prep team.

In 99 career Midget Prep games, the Mill Bay, B.C. product recorded 151 points (42-109-151). He graduates as the CSSHL Midget Prep Division’s all-time leader in games played, assists and points.

The 5-foot-11 forward is also a two-time member of the CSSHL Midget Prep Division All-Academic team.

During the 2015-16 season, Tanaka-Campbell registered 19 points (5-14-19) in 18 games with Shawnigan’s Bantam Prep team.

Over the past three seasons, Tanaka-Campbell has also appeared in 15 games with the British Columbia Hockey League’s Cowichan Valley Capitals.

Located in New Haven, Connecticut, Yale University’s men’s ice hockey team competes in the NCAA Division I ECAC Hockey League. They have competed at the NCAA Tournament six times since 2009 and were the 2013 NCAA National Champions.
