Stars Sign Seminoff

The Dallas Stars have signed former BWC Academy forward Matthew Seminoff to an NHL Entry Level Contract.

Seminoff spent two seasons in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL), joining BWC Academy for the 2017/18 U15 Prep season. In 30 games the Coquitlam, BC forward would tally 25 points, leading to the Kamloops Blazers selecting him in the fifth round, 93rd overall at the 2018 Western Hockey League (WHL) Draft.

Seminoff would return to BWC Academy for the 2018/19 U16 Prep season, finishing with a team best 52 points in 32 games. His 52 points were third among all skaters that season.

In 2019/20 Seminoff would make the jump to the WHL where he has spent the past four seasons with the Blazers. In 196 career WHL games Seminoff has recorded 170 points, including 82 this season.

The Stars selected Seminoff in the sixth round, 179th overall at the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.
