Jackson Smith has signed a Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreement (SPA) with the Tri-City Americans after they selected the defenseman with the second overall pick in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft.
Smith joined the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) for the 2021/22 U15 Prep season with Edge School. The Calgary, AB defenseman would score 15 goals and 23 assists in 29 games this season, ranking third among defensemen in goals, 10th in assists, and seventh in points.
