Six CSSHL products invited to Hockey Canada Goaltending Camps

Hockey Canada today announced the 46 goalies invited to the Program of Excellence and National Women’s Program Goaltending Camps.

A total of six current or former CSSHL student athletes have been invited to the four-day camps, which will be held at the Markin MacPhail Centre at WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park in Calgary.

Men’s U20 Camp

Roman Basran, Kelowna Rockets, WHL

The Delta, B.C. product attended the Delta Hockey Academy during the 2015-16 season and the Yale Hockey Academy during the 2016-17 season. He led the CSSHL’s Bantam Prep Division in save-percentage during the 2015-16 season.

Women’s National Team/Development Team Camp

Kristen Chamberlin, University of Alberta, USports

The Cochrane, Alta. product attended Edge School from 2012 to 2016. She led the CSSHL’s Female Division in goals-against average and save-percentage during the 2015-16 season.

Men’s U18 Camp

Dylan Garand, Kamloops Blazers, WHL

The Victoria, B.C. product attended the Delta Hockey Academy from 2016 to 2018. He led the CSSHL’s Bantam Prep Division in goals-against average and save-percentage during the 2016-17 season.

Men’s U17 Camp

Tyler Brennan, Rink Hockey Academy, CSSHL

The Winnipeg, Man. product has attended the Rink Hockey Academy the past two seasons. He led the CSSHL’s Bantam Prep Division in goals-against average and save-percentage during the 2017-18 season and is currently signed by the WHL’s Prince George Cougars.

Thomas Milic, BWC Academy, CSSHL

The Coquitlam, B.C. product has attended the BWC Academy the past two seasons. He was named the CSSHL’s Bantam Prep Division Top Goaltender during the 2017-18 season and is currently signed by the WHL’s Seattle Thunderbirds.

Drew Sim, Delta Hockey Academy, CSSHL

The Tees, Alta. product attended the Delta Hockey Academy this past season and OHA Edmonton during the 2017-18 season, where he won a CSSHL Bantam Prep Division Championship. He is currently signed by the WHL’s Vancouver Giants.
