Six CSSHL Member Alumnae to Attend National Women’s Team Selection Camp

Hockey Canada announced the 47 players that will attend the BFL National Women’s Team Selection Camp for an opportunity to represent Team Canada at the 2021 IIHF Women’s World Championship, May 6-16 2021 in Halifax and Truro, N.S.

Among those invited include six players who spent time with current CSSHL member programs:

  • Emily Clark – Okanagan Hockey Academy Female U18 Prep 2011/12- 2014/15
  • Brigette Lacquette – Pursuit of Excellence (RINK Academy Kelowna) Female U18 Prep 2009/10
  • Amy Potomak – Pursuit of Excellence (RINK Academy Kelowna) Female U18 Prep 2015/16
  • Sarah Potomak – Pursuit of Excellence (RINK Academy Kelowna) Female U18 Prep 2012/13 – 2014/15
  • Sophie Shirley – Okanagan Hockey Academy Female U18 Prep 2016/17
  • Micah Zandee-Hart – Okanagan Hockey Academy Female U18 Prep 2011/12- 2014/15

All six players have previously represented Team Canada earning two Olympic Silver Medals, five U18 Gold Medals, seven U18 Silver Medals, six World Championship Silvers, and three World Championship Bronze.

The selection camp kicked off Wednesday April 14 and will run until April 22 at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax.
