The Victoria Royals have signed Northern Alberta Xtreme forward Cole Reschny to a Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreement (SPA) after they selected the Macklin, SK product with the third overall pick in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft.
Reschny joined the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) for the 2020/21 U15 Prep season finishing with two goals in four games. He would build off those numbers greatly for the 2021/22 U15 Prep season, leading the division with 40 goals and finishing second with 52 assists and 92 points while earning U15 Prep CSSHL MVP honours.
His 92 points in just 25 games set a division record of 3.68 points per game, beating the previous record set by Arizona Coyotes 2021 NHL first round pick Dylan Guenther in the 2017/18 season.
