Rangers sign CSSHL grad Elmer

Canadian Sport School Hockey League graduate Jake Elmer has signed an entry-level contract with the New York Rangers.

Elmer, 20, attended the Edge School from 2012 to 2015.

During the 2014-15 season, the Calgary, Alta. product recorded 29 points (15-14-29) in 22 games with the Edge School Midget Prep team, while the previous season he netted 25 points (12-13-25) in 23 games with their Elite 15 team.

Elmer spent the 2012-13 season with the Edge School Bantam Prep team, while also recording seven points (2-5-7) in two games with their Midget Varsity team.

The six-foot-one forward has spent parts of the past four seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Lethbridge Hurricanes, Kootenay ICE and Regina Pats, accumulating 131 points (63-68-131) in 202 career games.
