The Regina Pats have signed Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) student-athletes Zach Lansard and Samuel Laplante to Western Hockey League (WHL) Scholarship and Development Agreements.
Lansard spent the 2022/23 CSSHL season with the RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg U15 Prep team. In 30 games the Ste. Anne, MB forward finished fourth in team scoring with 41 points in 30 games. The Pats selected Lansard in the fourth round, 78th overall at the 2023 WHL Draft.
A defenseman from Okotoks, AB, Laplante was originally selected by the Pats in the seventh round, 141st overall at the 2021 WHL Draft. He would play the 2022/23 CSSHL season with the Calgary International Hockey Academy U17 Prep team where he would tally 5 goals and 16 assists in 30 games.
