Namaka commits to U of A

 

Canadian Sport School Hockey League student athlete Danica Namaka has committed to play USports hockey at the University of Alberta for the 2020-21 season. 

The Winnipeg, MB native spent the last four years playing in the CSSHL, most recently competing for Rink Hockey Academy Winnipeg’s Female U18 Prep team in 2019-20 where she posted 23 goals and 30 assists (23-30-53) in 21 regular season games. 

During the 2020 BDO CSSHL Championships, the 2002 born forward registered five goals and four assists (5-4-9) in five playoffs games to help her team capture the Female Varsity Division title. 

In 95 career CSSHL games, Namaka, 17, recorded a total of 92 points, posting 37 goals and 55 assists (37-55-92).
