Rink Hockey Academy student athlete McKiya Mazur has been named the recipient of the 2020 CSSHL Female Humanitarian of the Year award.
The Female Varsity forward from Russell, Man. organized, coached and participated on her high school track team, and coached the Intro to Hockey program in her hometown of 1,400.
She also delivered food hampers in downtown Winnipeg during the holiday season. Mazur has maintained an 85 per cent average in school, and is committed to attend and play collegiate hockey at St. Francis Xavier in 2020.
The winner of the Humanitarian Award, both male and female, are chosen by an independent panel.
