Kayden Longley has signed a Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreement with the Kelowna Rockets.
Longley would sign his WHL SPA on February 2nd before making his WHL debut with the team on Friday against the Vancouver Giants, also suiting up Saturday against the Prince Albert Raiders.
Longley was the last pick in the 2021 WHL Draft as the Rockets selected him in the 13th round, 281st overall.
The Wainwright, AB forward has spent the last two seasons in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) with the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX). In 25 U18 Prep games this season Longley has recorded 11 goals and 17 assists. Last season he would tally 43 points in 30 regular season games plus an additional 9 in 5 playoff games as he helped NAX capture a 2022 CSSHL U16 Prep Western Championship.
Prior to his time as NAX, Longley played for the RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna/Pursuit of Excellence U15 Prep team. In 32 games split over 2 seasons he would record 30 points.
Longley was also a member of the 2021 Team Alberta that captured silver at the WHL Cup.
