Kruggel set to play with Thunder next season

Four-year Canadian Sport School Hockey League student athlete Langley Kruggel will play for the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s Drayton Valley Thunder next season.

Kruggel, 18, attended the Edge School the past two seasons, competing on their U18 Prep team where he posted 44 points (9-35-44) in 68 games.

During the 2017-18 season, the six-foot defenceman recorded 14 points (6-8-14) in 26 games with the CSSHL championship winning Northern Alberta Xtreme U16 Prep team, after posting nine points (2-7-9) in 30 games with OHA Edmonton’s U15 Prep team the season prior.

The St. Albert, AB product made his AJHL debut with the Calgary Canucks during the 2019-20 season.
