The Camrose Kodiaks have signed Edge School student-athlete Jackson Smith for the 2022/23 Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) season.
A defenseman from Calgary, AB, Smith has spent the last five seasons in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) with Edge School. Smith joined the program in 2017/18, tallying 11 points in 30 U15 games. In 2018/19 he would add 8 points in 26 U15 Prep games and would be selected by the Kelowna Rockets in the seventh round, 140th overall at the 2019 Western Hockey League (WHL) Draft.
Smith would record 2 goals and 7 assists in 36 U16 Prep games during the 2019/20 campaign, before spending the next two seasons with the U18 Prep team where he would score 6 goals and 16 assists in 34 games.
Smith suited up in one AJHL game as an affiliate player with the Kodiaks during the 2021/22 season.
