Lukas Kaplan has signed a Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreement with the Everett Silvertips after they selected him in the sixth round, 130th overall at the 2022 WHL Draft.
Kaplan joined the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) for the 2020/21 Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) season. During the 2021/22 U15 Prep season, the Spruce Grove, AB forward finished fifth in team scoring with 45 points in 28 games played. In 12 U17 Prep games with NAX this season, Kaplan is second to teammate Jaxen Gauchier in league scoring with 29 points. His 2.42 points per game this season leads all U17 Prep skaters.
