The Vancouver Giants have signed four players with ties to the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) to Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreements.
Selected in the first round, seventh overall in the 2022 WHL Draft, Cameron Schmidt spent the 2021/22 season with the RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna U15 Prep team. The Prince George forward recorded 25 goals and 16 assists in just 13 games.
Aaron Obobaifo spent one season in the CSSHL with Edge School during the 2020/21 U15 Prep season. The 19th overall pick in the 2022 WHL Draft, Obobaifo scored 6 goals and 5 assists in 11 games.
The Giants third first round pick, 22nd overall, Jakob Oreskovic has spent the last two seasons with Delta Hockey Academy Green. In 28 games the Langley, BC forward recorded 19 goals and 27 assists as Delta won the U15 Prep CSSHL League Championship.
A third-round pick, 54th overall, Colton Alain played the 2021/22 CSSHL season with the Pacific Coast Hockey Academy U15 Prep team. In 30 games the Victoria, BC defenseman had 16 goals and 16 assists.
