Giants put pen to paper with Pentecost

The Vancouver Giants have signed Canadian Sport School Hockey League student athlete Brenden Pentecost to a Western Hockey League Standard Player Agreement.

Pentecost, 16, has attended the Delta Hockey Academy the past two seasons, most recently appearing in 24 games with their Elite 15 team during the 2018-19 season, where he recorded 12 points (5-7-12).

The six-foot-one defenceman also appeared in five games with Delta’s Midget Prep team this past season.

During the 2017-18 season, the Surrey, B.C. product registered six assists in 30 games with Delta’s Bantam Prep Green team, while also notching one assist in three games at the 2018 BDO CSSHL Championships.

Pentecost was selected in the sixth round, 126th overall, by the Giants at the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.
