Kuper Academy (8) vs Fort Erie International Academy (2) Eastern U17
Kuper Academy scored eight straight goals to open the game as Dimitri Tsimberis, Tristan Lavigne (2G), Luca Carlomusto (2G), Thomas Brereton (2G, 1A), and Amir Makdad all found the back of the net. Joel Thompson and Cade McGrath would score a minute apart late in the third, but they were nothing more than consolation goals for Fort Erie in their 8-2 loss. Jeremy Lemieux (20/22) made 20 saves for the win.
Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (1) vs North Shore Warriors (3) U17 Prep
An early morning shutdown performance from Ethan Suhr (54/55) was the catalyst behind NSW’s win over CDA. Lukas Lekakis nabbed the games first goal early on and that would stand as the lone goal for the majority of the match. Suhr would make 21-stops in the second to maintain NSW’s lead. Entering the third, Connor Liu (1G, 1A) would double the Warriors’ lead, which would go on to be the game winner as Artem Gunko would spoil Suhr’s shutout with a late marker.
BWC Academy (2) vs Calgary International Hockey Academy (6) U17 Prep
A pair of goals from William Matte (2G) and a trio of assists for Zeke Balcarras (3A) was the driving force behind a solid CIHA victory on Saturday morning. CIHA took off offensively following a powerplay marker from Moses Larribeau, making way for Aedan McCarry (1G, 1A) and Matte soon after. Josh Wu (41/47) posted 40+ saves in the loss for BWC Academy while Braxton Gibson (20/22) picked up the win between the pipes with CIHA.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (1) vs Delta Hockey Academy Black (9) U15 AAA
Only four skaters missed out on the scoresheet in Delta Black’s commanding win over RHA Kelowna. Headlined by a three-point effort from Bentley Gillis (2G, 1A) and a 27-save performance from Luc Wilson-Kurenoff (27/28), Delta Black would comfortably waltz to their second win of the campaign.
Edge School (6) vs Notre Dame (0) U15 Prep
Edge finishes their weekend off 2-0 over Notre Dame with a statement 6-0 win to boast on the drive home. Edge would pick up a pair of goals in each period with notable performances from George Matheos (1G, 2A) and Jayden Maschke (1G, 2A) who each picked up three points a piece. Kaidyn Thomas (10/10) racked up 10-saves in the shutout while Ben Meyer (61/67) stood on his head for 61-saves in the loss.
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (2) vs St. George’s School (6) U17 Prep
A quick pair of goals from Aaron Castro and Jason Gao (3G, 1A) put St. George’s in the driver’s seat early. However, a quick goal from PMHA’s Chadrick Schulz would put a brief halt to St. George’s offence. The Saints would pick up steam over the next portion of the game as Byron Chin (1G, 3A) added the third goal to St. George’s total. Gao would go on to complete his hat-trick and Les Toth (38/40) would backstop St. George’s to victory over Pilot Mound.
Shawnigan Lake School (7) vs OHA Edmonton (5) U17 Prep
Shawnigan and OHA Edmonton would split the first period with two goals each, all of which coming on the man advantage. Shawnigan would take control in the second after Sullivan Bryan (1G, 3A) and Phoenix Hinks established a two goal cushion. Dominic Neville would scrape one back for OHA Edmonton but another strong start in the third for Shawnigan was enough to put this contest to bed. Cache Thomas (2G, 1A) would go on to net a powerplay marker while Ryder Kerr (2G) slotted in a pair of his own to award Shawnigan the W.
St. Mary’s Academy (1) vs Shawnigan Lake School (3) Female U18 Prep
Zoe Cramer (1G, 1A) got Shawnigan on the board early in the first to generate momentum going forward. Into the second, Grace Cooper (1G, 1A) and Ava Hamel would add another two to Shawnigan’s tally, forcing St. Mary’s into an uphill battle to start the third. Keyauna Robinson-Prefontaine (26/29) would stop all 11-shots she saw in the third while Joanna Braun would claw one back for St. Mary’s, but it was too little too late to surmount a comeback. Aidyn Carkner (10/11) backstopped Shawnigan in their season opening win.
Delta Hockey Academy Black (2) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (6) Female U18 Prep
A back-and-forth first saw no scoring between Delta Black and RHA Winnipeg, but a frenzy of goals would close out the second. RHA Winnipeg would rally for three while Delta Black kept their composure and potted two of their own. However, RHA Winnipeg would ignite the offence in the third as Shayla Scninocca (2G, 1A) scored just over a minute into the frame. From here on out, Morgan Barenz and Rowyn Street (1G, 1A) would supply another two for RHA Winnipeg, cementing their victory in Penticton on Saturday.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (5) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (3) U15 Prep
Alexander Ruiz (1G, 1A) would score the opening marker for RHA Kelowna early on in the first but a shorthanded marker from OHA’s Cooper Giarraputo would trim things back to a tie game. Ruiz would supply an assist on Kaius Millan’s (1G, 1A) early second period goal just 13-seconds in, but this game would remain tied through forty after OHA bounced back each time RHA Kelowna took back their lead. In the third, OHA would finally set the pace, as Gage Mark (2G, 1A) scored the go-ahead goal on the powerplay. RHA Kelowna would push to tie, but the solid goaltending of Brayden Unrah (31/34) kept them at bay. Cohen Short would later supply the empty netter, sealing up OHA’s first win of the regular season.
Edge School (5) vs Notre Dame (2) U17 AAA
After a dormant first, Darius Odermatt would put Edge School ahead with a powerplay marker. However, only 17-seconds later Notre Dame’s Jacob Bate would score to erase Edge School’s lead. Edge and Notre Dame would trade goals once more heading forward with Edge School having the large margin in shots. Joshua Heitman (49/54) proved vital for Notre Dame in this contest, racking up close to 50-saves before Edge found their groove in the third. Edge would go on to record three unanswered goals to establish a 5-2 victory.
Shawnigan Lake School (2) vs St. George’s School (5) U18 Prep
Three-point efforts from Harshaan Kaila (3A), Sam Auld (2G, 1A) and London Taylor (1G, 2A) were the cornerstone supporting their win on Saturday over Shawnigan. Freshman skaters Brock Cripps (2A) and Eddy Spytz (2A) would also tally two-points each on the scoresheet. Austin Ball (36/38) also provided a strong performance, steering aside 36 Shawnigan shots, only getting beat twice by Ryan Turner and Wylie Wen.
King’s Edgehill School (0) vs Bourget College (8) Eastern U18
Bourget College took a commanding win over the undefeated King’s Edgehill Saturday afternoon. Albert Genest (4A) led the scoresheet for the Voltigeurs, racking up four helpers from the blueline while Samy Taher (2G) and Elie Robert (2G) each provided a pair of goals. Alexandro Montoya (17/17) made 17-stops for the shutout victory.
Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (5) vs Notre Dame (1) U17 Prep
Aidan Yu (1G, 1A) scored the lone first period goal and Cooper Miller (2G) the only goal in the second as Wenatchee led 2-0 heading into the third. Michael Camponi would score midway through the third to get Notre Dame on the board, and give them some late life. But Zachary Seekins, Torrin Cotter and Miller all scored in a span of less than two minutes to put the game out of reach and secure a 5-1 Wenatchee win. Keagan Bradshaw (27/28) and Jessy Cormier (32/37) were in net for their respective teams.
STAR Hockey Academy (10) vs Indigenous Sports Academy (2) U17 Prep
Defenseman Kyler Bush (3G) and forward Zal Stabbler (3G) each recorded hat-tricks and Jacob Gaskell (19/21) stopped 19 shots as STAR defeated ISA 10-2. Adrian Afrakov (1G, 2A), Tyler Gillespie (1G, 2A) and Dylan Kirkpatrick (3A) each chipped in with three points in the win. Ason Apesis and Kaythin Mirasty scored for ISA in the loss.
North Shore Warriors (3) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (2) Female U18 Prep
Lily Zohner and Gia Carella scored first period goals as North Shore led 2-0 after 20 minutes of play. Miika Cutknife would get NAX on the board 2:02 into the second and Sawyer Mackay (1G, 1A) scored 8:46 later to tie the game. With the two teams locked at two goals apiece, Elise Miller (1G, 2A) found the back of the net with 7:30 left to play to give North Shore the lead. Haylie Hedges (30/32) would finish with 30 saves, including 7 in the third, to secure the 3-2 North Shore win. Sophie Quaschnick (31/34) made 31 saves in net for NAX.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (8) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (2) U17 AAA
OHA outshot CDA 61-14 en route to a 8-1 win Saturday. Caiden Osiowy-Mah (2G, 1A) scored shorthanded just 2:56 in but Knox Vogel responded for CDA less than two minutes later. OHA led 3-1 after 20 and 4-2 after 40 before exploding for four goals in the third as Grady Monsen (1G, 1A), Jaxson Bartsch (1G, 1A), Rylan Bengert (1G, 1A) and Gage Kiselbach all found the back of the net.
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (4) vs OHA Edmonton (2) U17 AAA
A power play goal late in the first by Elijah Rempel gave RHA Winnipeg the lead heading into the second. Rese Scott extended the RHA Winnipeg advantage midway through the period before Osten Strickland got OHA Edmonton on the board late in the frame. Harlan Arnason added another power play goal for RHA Winnipeg 6:23 into the third but it was quickly countered by a Hudson Blair marker just 24 seconds later. Justin Campbell would halt any OHA Edmonton comeback plans when he scored with 3:23 left, doubling the RHA Winnipeg lead. Zaiden McDonald-Horvath (37/39) made 37 saves in the win.
Delta Hockey Academy (1) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (8) U17 AAA
Mason Alexander scored on the power play midway through the first to give RHA Kelowna the lead. Aiden Andrews (2G) scored 25 seconds into the second as the RHA Kelowna offence erupted for five goals in the middle frame. Ewan Torrance would end the Griffin Jones (25/26) shutout bid with 9:02 left to play. Tate Serfas and Griffin Hoy (1G, 3A) added late power play goals to round out the scoring.
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (0) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (6) Female U18 Prep
Tiani Makokis scored with 1:39 left in the first and Madison Deschamps (1G, 1A) scored a power play goal 1:25 later as OHA grabbed a late 2-0 lead. Makenna Brassard scored a power play goal in the second, the lone goal of the period, to put OHA ahead by three. The third ended with Sayler Russell (1G, 1A) and Emma Deleurme (1G, 1A) scoring even strength goals, while Sophia Makokis (1G, 2A) added a power play marker for OHA. Maive Gosselin Berg (13/13) made 13 saves for the shutout. Sutter Reeves (58/64) faced 64 shots in the loss.
Rink Hockey Academy Winnipeg (9) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (6) U15 AAA
A high scoring affair saw RHA Winnipeg come out on top 9-6 over Prairie. RHA Winnipeg led 2-1 after 20 and 3-2 after 40 before the two teams exploded for 10 combined goals in the third period. Kelson Hawreluik (3G) recorded a hat-trick while Ryder Olford (2G, 2A) led the way offensively with 4 points for RHA Winnipeg. Tristan Reimer (2G) had two goals for Prairie while four other Prairie skaters had multi point games.
Yale Hockey Academy (6) vs STAR Hockey Academy (3) U15 AAA
Ryker Stevens (1G, 2A) opened the scoring just 14 seconds in to give Yale an early lead. But Seve Paladino (2G) would score a shorthanded and even strength goal while Olan Ward scored a power play marker to put STAR ahead 3-1 after 20. Lukas Bachler (2G) would score a power play goal for Yale 2:52 into the second and Mykah Cormier (1G, 2A) would tie the game midway through the frame. Lukas Stevens scored the eventual game winner 3:08 into the third while Ben Bury and Bachler added goals in the final minute to secure the Yale victory.
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (1) vs North Shore Warriors (2) U15 Prep
After a scoreless first period Dane Dyer got PCHA on the board and in the lead 8:33 into the second period. William Thompson (1G, 1A) would tie the game 20 seconds into the third period with his first goal of the season. With the game tied 1-1, Riley Taylor was the hero for North Shore beating Rio Manhas (33/35) with 5:07 left to play. Elias Mitrikas (42/43) would stop 42 shots to secure the North Shore win.
Northern Alberta Xtreme (5) vs Edge School (7) U15 AAA
NAX led 3-2 after 20 as Kendon Peacock, Mohamed Garcia and Gavin Van Brabant found the back of the net. Edge would dominate the second as Brodyn Antignani (3G, 1A) scored twice and Keyn Lindberg (1G, 1A) and Kyden Bartole (1G, 1A) each chipped in with one. Emmett Abel (1G, 1A) would bring NAX within two midway through the third but Antignani would complete the hat-trick with an empty net goal to clinch the Edge victory.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (5) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (3) U17 Prep
A quick goal by Logan Lanti (2G) saw RHA Kelowna grab the initial lead. Bronsyn Mouille and Nolan Phare (1G, 1A) would strike back to put NAX ahead but Brody (2G) responded for RHA Kelowna just 20 seconds later. Carson Smith gave RHA Kelowna the lead 55 seconds into the second before Aiden Across the Mountain responded on the power play less than two minutes later. Lanti put RHA Kelowna back on top with the eventual game winner late in the second and Bradshaw put the game out of reach midway through the third. Asher Netherton (25/28) made 25 saves for the win.
Yale Hockey Academy (3) vs Edge School (7) U17 Prep
Yale needed just 25 seconds to take the lead as Macquire Newman found the back of the net for the third time this season. Sahil Gill would add to the lead with a power play marker 13:49 into the period. Edge would take over in the third as Ashton McCann (2G, 1A) scored on the power play while Finn Howes (2G) and Owen Wiemer (2G, 1A) scored even strength goals. Wiemer, Howes and McCann would score goals to start the third with Eric Wagman (1G, 2A) chipping in just 8 seconds later. Kesler Hauser added a late goal after the game was already out of reach.
St. Mary’s High School (1) vs Balmoral Hall School (11) Female U18 Prep
Maddie Kaiser (4G, 3A) recorded 4 goals and 3 assists to lead Balmoral to an 11-1 win. Makenna Williment (2G, 4A) had herself a six point outing while defenseman Julianna DeGroot (1G, 4A) tallied five points in the win. Lauren Cherkas (12/13) made 12 saves for the win while Violet Mars McHenry (50/61) faced 61 shots in the loss.
South Alberta Hockey Academy (0) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (7) Female U18 Prep
Ava Drabyk (7/7) needed to make just seven saves to shutout SAHA in a 7-0 RHA Kelowna win. Alida Korte (2G, 1A) scored twice while Anezka Cabelova (1G, 2A) had three points. Ava McDermid (2A) and Hayley McDonald (2A) each recorded two assists. Hannah Palumbo (41/48) made 41 saves in the loss.
BWC Academy (2) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (5) U18 Prep
Elliott Hill (2G) and Ben Wetterberg each scored their first goals of the season in the first as Pacific Coast led 2-0 after 20. Christian Revel would get BWC Academy on the board 1:25 into the second period but Hill and Jed Lake (1G, 1A) scored 3:15 apart late in the second to extend the PCHA lead. Lukas Lima gave BWC Academy late life 7:22 into the third period but Sullivan Humeniuk (1G, 1A) scored a power play goal with 1:42 remaining to put the game out of reach. Liam Russell (33/35) made 33 saves for the win.
Yale Hockey Academy (1) vs STAR Hockey Academy (2) U15 Prep
STAR grabbed a 1-0 lead just 3:55 into the game on a power play goal from Nathan Langhelm. Parker McMillan would tie the game 4:56 into the second with a power play goal of his own. Daniel Makovetskiy would score the game winning goal for STAR 10 minutes later and Erik Sims (29/30) stopped 12 shots in the third to clinch a 2-1 win. Mason Sutherland (20/22) made 20 saves in the loss.
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (6) vs BWC Academy (7/OT) U17 AAA
PCHA led 3-2 after 20 on goals from Blake Sanderson, Kyle Rushton and Kaelen Rusjan. Lukas Needham (1G, 1A) and Tyson Laidlaw scored for PCHA in the second while Josiah Lacerte (1G, 1A) countered for BWC Academy. Nathan Green (1G, 1A) would score an early power play goal in the third to put Pacific Coast ahead 6-3 but Kijin Cho (4G) replied just 23 seconds later. Jacob Napoleon and Cho would complete the comeback midway through the third and force overtime. In overtime Cho would score his fourth goal of the game to give BWC Academy the come-from-behind 7-6 overtime win.
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (5) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (3) U17 Prep
A power play goal by Brayden Howe 3:48 in gave PCHA an early lead. Peyton Thiessen and Holden Duggan traded goals to close out the first period. Chase Heide and Gavin Quennelle traded goals in the second as it remained a one goal game. Treytin Frizzell and Phoenix Moyer-Isram scored 1:02 apart early in the third to give PCHA some breathing room. Tayln Kopansky would strike midway through the period to give RHA Winnipeg life but Parker Parrish (29/32) finished with 29 saves to ensure the Pacific Coast win.
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (8) vs Indigenous Sports Academy (2) U18 Prep
As part of a four point game Jett Deschamps (1G, 3A) opened the scoring 41 seconds in, leading RHA Winnipeg to an 8-2 victory. River Arnason (1G, 3A) and Carter Haney (1G, 3A) had four point games of their own and Ben Dnes (2G) scored twice for RHA Winnipeg. Emery Medicine Shield and Mason Sauvie scored for ISA in the loss.
South Alberta Hockey Academy (4) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (5) U17 Prep
Marcus Domhof (3G) and Maxx Parfitt scored in the first 2:38 of the game as OHA came racing out of the gate. Matthew Cameron-Skidmore would score shorthanded later in the period to get SAHA within one. Liam Green (1G, 1A) tied the game early in the second before Brody McLean restored the OHA lead. However, SAHA would lead after 40 thanks to goals from Kutcher Aquila and Brennan Finke. Domhof tied the game in the third with a power play tally and then completed the hat-trick midway through the third with the game winning goal for OHA. Linden Sobocan (28/32) and Hunter Zawislak (34/39) were in net for their respective teams.
Delta Hockey Academy Green (3) vs Edge School (1) Female U18 Prep
After Maisie Cope (28/29) and Jenna Ring (29/32) kept clean sheets in the first Gabriella Lee finally broke through 1:47 into the second period. Sophia Galick would add her first of the season 13:28 into the second to give Delta Green a 2-0 lead heading into the final period. Olivia Imperato finally solved Cope 3:59 into the third but a goal from Molly Cole with 9 minutes remaining ensured the Delta Green victory.
Okanagan Hockey Academy Black (0) vs OHA Edmonton (4) Female U18 Prep
Ava Antle (12/12) made 12 saves for her first shutout of the season and fourth of her career as OHA Edmonton blanked OHA Black 4-0. Izzy Gollop and Peyton Carter (2G) scored first period goals while Kyla Pappas and Carter found the back of the net in the second before a scoreless third period. Teagan Janzen (29/33) made 29 saves in the loss.
Delta Hockey Academy White (8) vs BWC Academy (4) U15 AAA
Delta White erupted for a five goal first as Zhehan Zhao (1G, 2A), Jayden Ni (3G), Reid Dutschek (1G, 2A), Colby Walker and Carson Brown (2G, 4A) all found the back of the net. Wyatt Lowther (1G, 1A) and Brown traded second period goals as it remained a four goal Delta White lead going into the third. Eric Prexler and Carter Yule (1G, 2A)would each find the scoresheet for BWC Academy in the third but Ni would score twice to complete the hat-trick in an 8-4 Delta White win.
Prairie Hockey Academy (1) vs Delta Hockey Academy (2) U17 Prep
Matthew Wong (25/26) turned aside 11 first period shots while Drake Mooney (28/30) stopped all 9 he faced as the two teams remained even after 20. Jack Morgan would open the scoring with his second of the season 8:21 into the second period and Caden Leibel would score 6:25 later to increase the lead. Bryden Wagner would end the Wong shutout bid with a power play goal with 7:03 left to play but Prairie was unable to find the equalizer.
