Game Day Recap – September 25, 2021

Edge School (2) at Northern Alberta Xtreme (3) – U18 Prep

Zackary Shantz set up Mason Hartley on all three NAX goals, leading the team to a 3-2 victory. Alexander Scheiwiller and Noah Davis each faced 27 shots, with Scheiwiller picking up the win for NAX. Ayden Peters and Dylan Kinch scored for the Edge.

OHA Black (3) at Delta Hockey Academy (10) – U17 Prep

Thomas Mrsci led Delta with five points and Jordan Gavin recorded a hattrick as Delta beat OHA Black 10-3. Gavin Garland, Miguel Marques, and Colton Roberts all picked up three points in the win. Diego Johnson, Rhett Miller and Adrian Stasiniak scored for OHA Black.

OHA White (2) at RINK Kelowna (5) – U17 Prep

Four different skaters found the back of the net for RINK Kelowna including Kadon McCann who scored twice and finished with three points. Thomas Maclean made 19 saves on 21 shots to record the victory.

Edge School (7) at Northern Alberta Xtreme (4) U16 Prep

The goals came early and often for Edge as they found the back of the net twice in the first 2:14 of the game on route to a 7-4 win. Braeden Veldhuizen scored twice and assisted another two goals, while Evan Auld recorded two goals for Edge and Luke Davies scored two for NAX. Benjamin Polhill stopped 29 off 33 in net for Edge in the win.

West Van Academy (1) at Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (4) – U16 Prep

After yesterday’s 15 goal game Taber Penner stopped 20 of 21 to pick up his second win in as many days and, despite the loss, Dwayne-Paul Cruz made 43 saves on 46 shots. Five different skaters scored and Brendon Hall and Landon Mackie each tallied two points.

Edge School (2) at Northern Alberta Xtreme (5)  – U15 Prep

Propelled by three power play goals and two goal nights from Reese Hamilton and Ryan Miller NAX skated to a 5-2 victory. Cash Koch and Jackson Smith each beat Ryan Grout once as he picked up the win making 22 saves on 24 shots.

Delta Hockey Academy (2) at RINK Kelowna (4) – U16 Prep

14 different skaters recorded a single point as Owen Wilkinson was the lone player to have a multi point night (1G, 1A). Gavin Pomeroy made 36 saves in the win while Brayden Burrows made 38 saves in the loss for Delta.

Yale Hockey Academy (10) at Shawnigan Lake School (5) – U17 Prep

Yale would head into the second down 2-0 before scoring five straight goals, and six total, in the second period as they would rally for a 10-5 win. Chase Valliant scored twice and added three assists, leading the way for Yale. Jesse Heslop and Steven Foster each finished with four and three points on the night.

Yale Hockey Academy (6 – OT) at OHA (5) – U15 Prep

Backed by three goals in the second period, Yale was set to cruise to victory up 5-1 halfway through the third period. But led by a Mathis Preston hattrick, OHA would rally scoring four goals in the third, including two 30 seconds apart, to tie the game at five and force overtime. Iverson Graveline would halt the OHA comeback, scoring 1:58 into overtime for Yale.

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (4) at Delta Hockey Academy Green (3) – U15 Prep

Outshot 34-19, Pacific Coast netminder Koen Cleaver made 31 saves leading his team to a 4-3 victory. Wyatt Blace scored twice for the visitors and teammate Noah Kosick tallied three points. Jackson DeGraves, Chase Harrington and Ryan Lin scored for Delta Green.

BWC Academy (3) at Shawnigan Lake School (2) – U18 Prep

Carson Wetsch scored the game winner 5:19 into the third period as BWC beat Shawnigan 3-2. Charlie Tritt made 31 saves for BWC in the win while Sean Walia made 33 saves for Shawnigan. 12 different skaters recorded points with both Wetsch and Gabriel Guilbault recording multi point games.
