GAME DAY RECAP: October 27-30, 2025

South Alberta Hockey Academy (3/OT) vs OHA Edmonton (2) U17 Prep

OHA Edmonton and SAHA traded goals 1:14 apart early in the first as Gabriel Kantor scored for the home side, and Dane Irwin (1G, 1A) countered for the visitors. Chase Nielson (29/31) and Adrien Brochu (36/39) kept clean sheets in the second as the two teams headed into the third tied 1-1. Hudson Blair gave OHA Edmonton an early third period lead, scoring 5:19 into the frame. Eric Schrock tied the game just under 10 minutes later, scoring his second of the season to send the game to overtime. Despite never leading during regulation, SAHA would claim the victory as Lucas Fisher scored the game winner with 49 seconds left to play. 

Shawnigan Lake School (6) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (2) U18 Prep

Backed by a power play that scored four times, Shawnigan Lake beat Pacific Coast 6-2 Tuesday night. After a scoreless first period Nigel Alberts (4G) scored 3:01 into the second to put Shawnigan ahead. Phoenix Hinks (1G, 2A) and Roman Lavery would then trade power play goals five minutes apart. Elliott Hill tied the game 1:40 later, hitting double digit goals on the season. Alberts would restore the Shawnigan lead heading into the third, adding a power play goal with one second left in the second. Alberts would then complete the hat-trick and get one more three minutes later, scoring back-to-back power play goals to start the period. Maddoch Bond (1G, 2A) rounded out the scoring, beating Kole Anderosov (48/54) with 2:08 left in the game. Liam Ryan (39/41) was credited with the win. 

Lower Canada College (4/SO) vs Kuper Academy (3) East U17 Prep

After a scoreless first period Matthew Boroff and Alex Gervasi (2G) scored less than two minutes apart midway through the second as LCC held a 2-0 lead heading into the third. Luca De Pastena cut the lead in half 36 seconds into the third with a power play goal, but Gervasi responded for LCC just 17 seconds later. Kuper would mount a comeback as Raf Kytnar (1G, 1A) brought his team within one with more than 17 minutes left to play and Angelo Jr Colletti scored his 16th of the season with 4:12 remaining to send the game to overtime. After OT solved nothing, Jona Erickson (49/52) stopped all three Kuper shooters and Gervasi beat James Barker (40/43) to give LCC the 4-3 win over previously undefeated Kuper Academy. 

Notre Dame Hounds (4) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (9) U15

Philo Armstrong scored just 42 seconds in and Gus Buffington doubled the lead less than two minutes later as Notre Dame came flying out of the gate. Finley Giesbrecht would get one back for Prairie just a few minutes later as they trailed by one heading into the second. David Osiowy (1G, 1A) tied the game briefly before Lochlan Kisslinger (1G, 1A) restored the Notre Dame lead 1:19 later. However, Prairie would take over the game scoring five straight goals in 8:45 of action with Deklan Street (2G, 2A) scoring once and James Lanoie, Cruz Kujundzic-Pruden (1G, 1A) and Maguire Lepp (1G, 2A) all tally once. Creighton Ellis (1G, 1A) halted the run 46 seconds later, but Prairie still lead 7-4 after 40. In the final period, Titan Sauter (1G, 3A) and Griffon Eaton (1G, 1A) added goals to give Prairie a convincing 9-4 win over their Saskatchewan rival. Cameron Rusyniak (24/28) and Sammy Brushett (48/57) were in net for their respective teams.

Prairie Hockey Academy (5) vs Notre Dame Hounds (1) U17

Much like the U15 game down the road, Notre Dame opened the scoring early as Easton Oglestone scored his second of the season. However, this game continued to follow the same trend as Soren Hayden (1G, 1A) and Tristan Reimer (3G, 1A) scored 43 seconds apart to give Prairie a late first period lead. Kaleb Crowe and Reimer would add second period goals to increase the lead to 4-1 heading into the third. In the final 20, Reimer completed the hat-trick to secure the 5-1 Prairie victory. Kayden Gregoire (27/28) made 27 saves to earn the win.

RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (12) vs Balmoral Hall School (2) Female U18 Prep

Georgia O’Neill (1G, 1A) and Ava Hrubeniuk (2G, 2A) scored power play goals 1:31 apart less than four minutes in as RHA Winnipeg grabbed an early 2-0 lead. Mya Rosenbaum would get Balmoral on the board late in the second and Kate Chuback (1G, 1A) hit double digit goals 18 seconds into the second to even the score. However, the tide would quickly shift as RHA Winnipeg rattled off 10 unanswered goals to claim a 12-2 win. Rowyn Street (1G, 5A), Raina Chala (1G, 3A) and Kendal Leader (1G, 3A) paced the offence while Maddison Hagen (29/31) made 29 saves in net for the win.
