Prairie Hockey Academy (7) vs Notre Dame (2) U15
Prairie put on a dominating special teams performance scoring on all three of their power plays, killing off all three Notre Dame attempts and scoring a shorthanded goal to lead them to a 7-2 win. Noah Delaurier (1G, 2A) scored the first power play goal 12:49 into the game as Prairie led 1-0 after 20. William Carroll and Tristan Reimer (4G) traded goals in the first half of the second while Maddex Floberg and Reimer did the same in the back half of the period. Reimer completed the hat-trick 1:55 into the third before scoring the second power play marker 5:02 later. James Lanoie scored the final power play goal less than two minutes later and Ivey Vermeulen (1G, 4A) added the shorthanded tally with 11 seconds left to play.
Balmoral Hall School (4) vs OHA Edmonton (3) Female U18 Prep
After Ava Antle (25/29) denied Balmoral on a breakaway chance, Madeline McKay (2G, 1A) scored seconds later on a scramble in front to give Balmoral a 1-0 first period lead. Neve Jugnauth tied the game 1:48 into the second, poking home a loose puck in front. Maddie Kaiser (2G, 1A) would take a cross ice feed from McKay midway through the second to give Balmoral the lead with a power play marker. Mercedes Dunbar and Peyton Carter scored 18 seconds apart early in the third as OHA Edmonton grabbed a 3-2 lead. Kaiser would tie the game midway through the third before springing McKay on a breakaway where she would go five-hole to put Balmoral ahead with 4:19 remaining. Mimi Ferreira (41/44) would finish with 41 saves as Balmoral grabbed a 4-3 win in their first game of their Alberta road trip.
Ontario Hockey Academy (2) vs Bourget College (4) East U17
Bourget took a 1-0 lead into the locker room after Mathieu Perron found the back of the net with 2:07 remaining in the opening period. Noah Brewer scored the lone second period goal to tie the game heading into the third. Luca Castrechini (1G, 1A) and Liam Croteau scored 4:10 apart early in the third as Bourget opened up a 3-1 lead. Marton Loschig brought OHA within one midway through the period but Kevin Bertrand put the game to bed with 1:44 remaining on the clock.
Mount Academy (3) vs King’s Edgehill School (2) East U18
Cameron Ellsworth and Jansen Guitard scored 2:04 apart as Mount grabbed a 2-0 lead. Izaac Brosseau countered for KES 3:20 later with his fifth goal of the season as the first ended 2-1 in Mount’s favour. After a scoreless second, Ewan Morgan scored the eventual game winning goal 20 seconds into the third. Kasper Kossila would score late to bring KES within one but William Talbot (29/31) finished with 29 saves to give Mount the 3-2 win.
