St. George’s School (8) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (5) U18 Prep
After Sam Auld got St. George’s on the board 47-seconds in, CDA would snap back with two of their own from Carter Kipp and Owen Bambrick (2G). However, their lead would be short lived after Harshaan Kaila (1G, 2A) sparked a three goal chain for the Saints before the ice clean. Amadeo Sim (3G, 1A) would capture two goals in the second for St. George’s, increasing their lead to 6-2 after forty. CDA would show some life in the third, scoring three unanswered to make this event a one goal contest, but St. George’s would remain unfazed, recording another two to put this one out of CDA’s reach. Sim would cap off his hat-trick with the final goal of the game while Emil Ahopelto (3A) and Thomas Rode (3A) each provided three helpers on the morning.
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (3) vs Notre Dame (1) U15 Prep
An individual effort from Conner Lamb (1G, 1A) gave RHA Winnipeg the early advantage through twenty. They would go on to advance their lead in the second as Grayson Speirs sniped one home from the slot. RHA Winnipeg’s lead would grow to 3-0 in the third after Easton Pitz found the back of the net for his sixth of the season. Davian Ferland got Notre Dame on the board late, snapping Noah Hawkins (29/30) shutout. Hawkins would make a respectable 29-saves in the contest, leading RHA Winnipeg to their third straight victory.
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (3) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (5) U17
Nixon Whieldon (2G, 2A) and Owen Hyde swapped goals in the first, but Kaustav Pradeep would bury a wicked backhand to put RHA Kelowna up by one to close out the first. Collin Lee would respond early in the second for PCHA. However, RHA Kelowna’s powerplay would pick up steam, scoring back to back goals to grant them a two goal advantage. Lukas Needham (1G, 1A) would get PCHA back to within striking distance in the third, but with the goalie pulled they weren’t able to find the tying goal. Whieldon would bury an EN for his second of the day, putting his team back in the win column after dropping Saturday’s contest to the Sea Devils.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (7) vs Notre Dame (0) U15
OHA’s offence progressively ramped up the output through each period of play in their Sunday victory. Rhys Parker (2G, 1A) and Owen Magness (2G, 1A) each slotted home a pair of goals along with an assist while Hudson Wicharuk (3A) provided three helpers. Ethan Waston (16/16) stopped all 16-shots he faced for the shutout.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (5) vs North Shore Warriors (6) U15
A steady powerplay kept RHA Kelowna alive in the first as they would pot two on the man advantage to escape the period tied with North Shore. NSW would reply with a powerplay marker of their own in the second as Mattias Gallina (2G, 1A) found the back of the net. Late in the second, Harrison Sharman (1G, 1A) would add yet another PP goal to RHA Kelowna’s total, keeping things knotted up through forty minutes of play. In the final frame, North Shore would catch a groove, scoring three unanswered in the first half of the period. RHA Kelowna would come back with two of their own to make things a one goal game late but couldn’t capitalise with the goalie pulled in the final stages. Gallina would waltz off with the GWG on another powerplay goal while Nicholas Sheldon (2G) provided an important pair of goals in the North Shore win.
Prairie Hockey Academy (7) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (3) U17
PHA left the first period on top thanks to a late goal from Cohen Greenwood (1G, 1A). NAX would come back in the second with a spark of life, eventually taking the lead back thanks to a pair from Porter Dickson and a wicked wrister from Kegan Power (1G, 1A). Shortly after Power’s go-ahead goal, Prairie’s Jake Myhre (1G, 1A) would tie things up at 3-3. Later in the frame, Felix MacMillan would restore Prairie’s lead. The third period would be dominated by PHA, tallying another three unanswered to put this Sunday matchup to bed. Colton Lutz (34/37) played a big role in Prairie’s win, steering 34-shots aside.
Yale Hockey Academy (4) vs BWC Academy (0) U17 Prep
Late in the first, Adrien Comeau would put Yale ahead with a powerplay goal to break the scoreless tie. Come the second, another late goal from Yale would double their lead heading into the third with props to Lethbridge Hurricanes prospect Matteo Di Stefano (1G, 1A). BWC Academy would fire 15-shots in the third to try and stir up a comeback but couldn’t find an answer to beating Port Coquitlam, BC native, Carson Lang (29/29), who would go on to stop all 29-shot attempts by BWC Academy. Seth Castronuovo and Gavin Selinger (1G, 2A) would add the two insurance markers for Yale in the third.
Edge School (5) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (1) U18 Prep
Edge’s special teams were all over the scoresheet in the second leg to their double header versus SAHA, going an efficient 3/5 on the man advantage. Keegan de Sa (1G, 2A) and Luke Jamieson would be the beneficiaries on Edge’s first two powerplay goals. Scoring would pause in the second but would pick up again in the third after Reed Reschny (2G) slid his second goal of the day through the wickets of Kannen Kirkwood (17/19). Owen Brees would break Ryley Budd’s (29/30) shutout but Mirco Dufour (1G, 1A) would add one more late to keep Edge in control.
Delta Hockey Academy (3) vs STAR Hockey Academy (4) U17 Prep
Anderson Carter (2G, 1A) and Jack Morgan would trade goals in the first. However, a late goal from Max Carpenter (1G, 1A) left STAR on top through twenty. The scoring would slow down in the second but Rylan Franklin would score his second goal in as many games to tie things up for Delta. Early on in the third, Spokane Chiefs prospect Bryson Roberts would put Delta up by one, giving them their first lead of the contest. However, STAR would catch fire part way through the third as Daniel Makovetskiy buried home a loose puck in close to tie things up at 3-3 while just 36-seconds later, Carter would wire home his second of the afternoon
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (3) vs Notre Dame (2) U18 Prep
Following a scoreless first, Ben Bugeaud (1G, 1A) ripped home the game’s opening tally to put Notre Dame out in front. Pilot Mound would get on the board soon after as Asher Gingras’s (3G) shot from the left circle trickled past Josh Blair (29/31). Later in the frame, Reid White would restore Notre Dame’s lead, wiring one from the hash marks. Notre Dam would carry their 2-1 lead into the third but would be quickly matched as Gingras added his second of the contest of a solo effort down the left wing. Pilot Mound would continue to press in the final frame and were rewarded as Gingras potted his third of the afternoon, completing his second hat-trick of the season. Gingras’s third would go on to be the game winner as he supplied each and every goal for the Buffaloes. Aiden Trapp (18/20) would pick up the win in the crease.
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (7) vs Indigenous Sports Academy (2) U17 Prep
After falling behind one through the opening twenty, Kaythin Mirasty would get ISA on the board with his second of the season. However, RHA Winnipeg would resurface soon after, burying four unanswered to close out the second period. Knox Burton (1G, 2A) would supply a shorthanded goal part way through the third while Brady Keith (3G, 1A) polished off his hat-trick with a goal on the man advantage. Brady Robert (25/27) made 25-saves in the Sunday victory for RHA Winnipeg.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (2) vs St. George’s School (4) U15 Prep
Nathaniel Moore (2G, 1A) and Kaius Millan traded goals just over two minutes apart to kick-start the game. Noah Fowler (2) scored his fifth of the season to put St. George’s ahead going into the second. Jack Leslie and Fowler traded second period goals as it remained a one goal game heading into the final frame. Moore would double the lead late in the third to secure a 4-2 St. George’s win. Kole Anderosov (45/47) made 45 saves for the win while Dylan Mingo (35/39) faced 39 shots in the loss. Louis Oscar Holowaychuk (3A) had three assists for St. George’s.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (9) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (0) U17 Prep
Joshua Johnstone (2G, 1A) and Reid Rabinovitch (2G, 2A) each scored twice while Logan Lanti (1G, 2A) and Porter Rossi (1G, 2A) had three point games as RHA Kelowna defeated CDA 9-0. Kai Ebert (17/17) made 17 saves for his second shutout of the season. Jackson Wagner (50/59) faced 59 shots in the loss.
STAR Hockey Academy (8/OT) vs Rink Hockey Academy Winnipeg (7) U15
A busy first period saw ET Kennedy (2G) open the scoring on the power play 11:57 into the game. Aiden Christie (2G) tied the game and a shorthanded marker from Ryder Olford (2G, 1A) put RHA Winnipeg ahead. Benton Fuller (3G) scored on the same power play just 21 seconds later but Max Xing responded for RHA Winnipeg 46 seconds later as they led 3-2 after 20. Brayden Bardwell (1G, 1A) and Daniel Trifunovic (1G, 2A) scored back-to-back to put STAR ahead though Christie tied the game minutes later. Kennedy put STAR back on top late in the second but goals 58 seconds apart from Jack Arseniuk (2G) and Ryder Olford put RHA Winnipeg ahead going into the third. Midway through the third Fuller scored twice in a 32 second span to complete the hat-trick and give STAR the lead. Looking for a tying goal in the final minute, Arseniuk would pot his third of the year to force overtime. In OT Olan Ward (1G, 1A) scored his fifth of the season as STAR won a high scoring affair, 8-7.
Notre Dame (3) vs OHA Edmonton (7) U17
The first period ended tied 1-1 as Brandon Thompson and Osten Strickland (2G, 2A) traded goals. Cyril Herauf gave Notre Dame an early second period lead with a power play tally but OHA Edmonton quickly responded with four straight as Jayden Squissato (2G) and Strickland each scored once, while Clark Schneider (2G, 1A) scored two straight. Clive Harazny gave Notre Dame some life in the third but Squissato quickly crushed any comeback hopes with a goal 1:10 later. Ayden Stuckless scored his first of the season late in the game to round out the scoring.
Delta Hockey Academy Black (2) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (3) U15
Jack Delaney and Mohamed Garcia traded goals in the first and Taegeon Park and Jared Ryan did the same in the second as the score was deadlocked at 2-2 going into the final 20. Malakai Andrews gave NAX their first and only lead of the game with 6:49 remaining. Grayson Scriba (25/27) finished with 25 saves, including 7 in the third, as NAX overcame two different deficits to earn the 3-2 win over Delta Black.
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (0) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (12) U15 Prep
Easton Arndt (2G), Cruz Jim (2G, 2A), Kalen Miles (2G, 1A) and Nash Weyland (2G) all scored twice while Ahmad Fayad (4A) and Will Kelts (4A) each had four assists as NAX defeated Pilot Mound 12-0. Teagen Bouchard (1G, 3A) and Brady Ondrus (1G, 3A) each had four point outings in the victory while Karter Gibson (9/9) faced just nine shots to record the shutout. Gavin Hildebrand (74/86) faced 86 shots in the loss.
St. George’s School (2) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (7) U17 Prep
Jack MacMillan opened the scoring early in the first with his eighth goal of the season. Felix Hang and Declan Andrews each scored their first goals of the season late in the period as Pacific Coast led by one after 20. Kieran Wilson (1G, 2A) doubled the lead 56 seconds into the second with a power play goal and Treytin Frizzell (1G, 1A) and James Powell scored 2:09 apart as PCHA grabbed a 5-1 lead. Aaron Castro slowed the bleeding one minute later with a power play goal but Tristan Follick and Ethan Naus scored in the third as Pacific Coast took home a convincing 7-2 win.
Bishop’s College School (2) vs Stanstead College (3) U17 East
The majority of the offence in this one came in the opening 20 as Matej Dobos scored the games first goal 3:39 in. Samuel Boutet tied the game 5:04 later and Gavin Rusenstrom put Bishop’s ahead late in the first but Parker Banks tied the game just 12 seconds later. Hubert Melancon broke the deadlock late in the second, scoring the game winning goal for Stanstead. Gabriel Poitras (32/34) and Tyler Fuicelli (27/30) kept clean sheets in the third, with Poitras stoppined 10 shots to deny Bishop’s of a tying goal.
Delta Hockey Academy White (2) vs Edge School (8) U15
Luke Bodtker (2G, 2A) scored twice and Kyden Bartole (1G, 3A) tied him for the team lead with four points as Edge defeated Delta White 8-2. Brody Antignani (1G, 2A) and Easton Armstrong (1G, 2A) each recorded three points and Hudson Andrews (21/23) made 21 saves in the win. Carson Brown (1G, 1A) and Jayden Ni (1G, 1A) scored for Delta White in the loss.
Indigenous Sports Academy (0) vs OHA Edmonton (7) U18 Prep
Parker Snell (18/18) made 18 saves to record the shutout while adding an assist as OHA Edmonton defeated ISA 7-0. Calum Giese (2G, 2A) and Kaden Wilkins (2G) each scored twice and Miles Coates, Parker Fitzgerald (1G, 1A) and Nolan Schmidt (1G, 1A) added the other goals in the win. Ethan Lewis (50/57) was in net for ISA in the loss.
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (8) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (1) U15
Backed by five power play goals, Pacific Coast defeated Prairie 8-1 Sunday. Callan McCall (3G) recorded a hat-trick and Caden Sugiyama (1G, 3A) led all skaters with four points in the win. Kayne Anderson scored the lone Prairie goal, ending the Jace Zemanek (38/39) shutout bid in the second period. Conner Aldag (36/44) made 36 saves in the loss.
St. George’s School (2) vs OHA Edmonton (5) U15
Marek Pashko and Ian Kim (2G) scored power play goals less than two minutes apart as OHA Edmonton grabbed a 2-0 advantage heading into the second. Kane Strudwick (1G, 1A) increased their lead midway through the second before Hudson Lesk (1G, 1A) got St. George’s on the board with a shorthanded tally. Kim restored the three goal cushion heading into the final frame where Theo Wesik (1G, 1A) and Lane Huscroft traded goals to round out the scoring in the 5-2 OHA Edmonton victory. Bronny Kasturi (21/23) and Jonah Gamble (39/44) were in net for their respective teams.
Yale Hockey Academy vs Calgary International Hockey Academy U15
A power play goal by Carter Di Stefano gave Yale a 1-0 lead heading into the intermission. Loic Lebel tied the game but it was short lived as Ryker Stevens and Matthew Lavoie each added Yale power play goals as their special teams unit went 3 for 6 and was the difference maker in this one. Logan Hwang (30/31) and Taylor Green (41/44) kept clean sheets in the third as Yale improved to 12-0-0 on the season.
Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (5) vs North Shore Warriors (7) U15
A high scoring first period saw each team strike three times with Brayden Lee (2G, 1A) and Colton Stoltz (2G, 1A) scoring for CDA while Keegan Hole (2G), Breh Guest and Mattias Gallina (1G, 2A) countered for North Shore. Rex Norman (2G, 1A) and Nicholas Sheldon (1G, 1A) scored less than five minutes apart in the second as North Shore started to pull away. Stoltz would respond just 26 seconds later to bring his team within one. Norman would tally his second of the game midway through the third but CDA wouldn’t go away quietly as Tate Smith responded 17 seconds later. The comeback would come up short as Hole would score with 31seconds left to clinch the North Shore victory.
Seattle Jr Kraken (3) vs BWC Academy (7) U15
Cooper Polzin (1G, 1A) and Liam Adams each scored their first of the season in the first as the two teams headed into the intermission tied 1-1. Ryker Carson (1G, 1A) scored 34 seconds into the second and Wyatt Lowther scored his ninth of the season as BWC Academy jumped ahead 3-1. Drew Pokorny (1G, 1A) brought Seattle within one 1:03 into the final frame but Owen Chapman (1G, 1A) countered just 10 seconds later and Chase Henderson added another BWC Academy goal 43 seconds later. Murphy Foster would give Seattle some life a few minutes later but Ethan Kartadinata (2G, 1A) scored twice in a 2:15 span to put the game well out of reach.
