GAME DAY RECAP: November 3, 2022

RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg U18 (7) vs Delta Hockey Academy U17 (1) Female U18 Prep

After a scoreless first Cassidy Bodnaryk (1G, 3A) scored the lone second period goal for RHA Winnipeg. Morgan Settee (2G, 1A) would score the eventual game winner just 1:17 into the first before Delta got on the board with a Lily Zohner marker, But RHA Winnipeg would score five goals in a span of eight minutes, including goals by Hayden Arkle (1G, 1A) and Settee just 21 seconds apart. Katelyn Dorsch (26/27) earned her first win of the season.

RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (8) vs OHA Edmonton (0) U16 Prep

Kayden Turner (3G) would record a hattrick aand Wyatt Stinton (2G, 1A) would tally three points as RHA Winnipeg defeated OHA Edmonton 8-0. Brant Catellier (23/23) improved to a perfect 5-0-0 and recorded his third shutout of the season. Tate Dolinsky (1G, 1A), James Franklin (1G, 1A), and Remy Hlady (1G, 1A) scored the other RHA Winnipeg.

St. Mary’s Academy U18 (7) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy U18 (1) Female U18 Prep

St. Mary’s fired 65 shots at Brooklyn Adams (58/65), beating her 7 times in a 7-1 victory. Mia Faseruk (3G) recorded a hattrick and Charlotte Buffie (2G, 2A) led all skaters with four points. Hannah Dennehy (1G, 2A) and Letta Mattheos (3A) each tallied three points, and J’Anne Colbow (19/20) earned the win in net.

Edge School U18 (1) vs Delta Hockey Academy U18 (0) Female U18 Prep

In a goaltending battle it was Megs Thiessen (25/25) getting the best of Maisie Cope (33/34) as Edge defeated Delta 1-0. Jordyn Rivett scored her first goal of the season 16:07 into the second period, with Jennifer Keller and Elle Lorenz picking up the assists on the goal.

Okanagan Hockey Academy U18 (2) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme U18 (1) Female U18 Prep

Hanna Perrier scored late in the first and Kismet Dogan (1G, 1A) added another marker for OHA early in the third to give OHA a 2-0 lead. Larae Benoit would score her fourth of the season midway through the third for NAX, but Farah Walker (24/25) would keep the door shut the rest of the way. Erika Lind stopped 28 of 30 shots in net for NAX in the loss.

Shawnigan Lake School U18 (5) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy U17 (1) Female U18 Prep

Morgan Jackson (1G, 2A) and Taya Lonsdale scored first period goals for Shawnigan before Emily Gerdevich scored just 23 seconds into the second for OHA. But Zoe Bown, Abby Whitworth (1G, 1A) and Vivian McDonnell would all respond in the second for Shawnigan, giving them a 5-1 win. Lauren Mackay (16/17) earned the win, while Jordan Tung (34/39) was in net for the loss.

RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna U18 (4) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy U18 (1) Female U18 Prep

Chloe Primerano (2G) opened the scoring with her seventh of the season and Keara Parker (2G) scored her seventh goal 1:26 into the second. Julie Barlow would get SAHA on the board a minute later, but goals from Parker and Primerano would secure the RHA Kelowna win. Callie Rice (2A) added two assists and Madison Bowtell stopped 10 of 11 for the win. Maddy Ferguson (45/49) was in net for SAHA in the loss.
