Northern Alberta Xtreme (5) vs North Shore Warriors (2) U15
The lone first period goal by Kendon Peacock put NAX ahead 1-0 going into the second period. Emmett Abel (1G, 1A) scored shorthanded to extend the lead but Mattias Gallina (1G, 1A) responded with a power play goal 1:05 later and Breh Guest added a power play goal of his own 37 seconds after that to even the score. Keatyn Devlin restored the NAX lead just 20 seconds later and Lincoln Baschuk doubled the advantage 46 seconds after that to wrap up a five goal outburst in a span of less than three minutes. Malakai Andrews (1G, 1A) scored the only goal of the third period to put the game to rest. Zayden Maclean (32/34) and Donovan Kuhn (41/46) were in net for their respective teams.
Seattle Jr Kraken (3) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (5) U15
Hudson Wicharuk (1G, 1A) opened the scoring with a power play goal for OHA but Felix Rondeau replied with a shorthanded marker less than two minutes later. Landon Ruck’s (1G, 1A) first goal of the season 1:16 into the second kickstarted a three goal second from OHA as Reiya Tsuchikawa scored on a penalty shot and Mason Liebel (1G, 1A) scored his third of the season a few minutes later. The Seattle penalty kill continued to provide offence in the third as Jack Larsen brought his team within two. However, Rhys Parker (1G, 1A) would flip the script and score an empty net, shorthanded goal for OHA to secure the victory. Owen Zelasko would score a late consolation goal on the power play for Seattle to round out the scoring.
Edge School (9) vs STAR Hockey Academy (2) U15
Edge grabbed a 1-0 lead with 30 seconds left in the first as Easton Armstrong (1G, 1A) scored his fourth goal of the season. Daniel Trifunovic tied the game early in the second with a power play goal but Edge responded with two shorthanded goals in a span of 18 seconds as Brody Antignani (3G, 1A) and Charlie Usher (1G, 1A) each found the back of the net. Edge would take a commanding 6-1 lead into the third as Luke Bodtker (2G, 1A), Antignani and James Butterwick all tallied goals. Cade Mazurski (1G, 2A) and Bodtker scored 43 seconds apart early in the third and Antignani completed the hat-trick midway through the period. Mason Olson (1G, 1A) halted the run late in the game but it was nothing more than a consolation goal for STAR in the lopsided loss.
St. George’s School (7) vs Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (2) U18 Prep
Fresh off a win yesterday, Bode Drew scored 4:10 into the hockey game as Wenatchee struck early. Harshaan Kaila tied the game midway through the period to kick-start a six goal St. George’s run. Brenden Morgan gave his team the lead late in the first while Amadeo Sim, Emil Ahopelto, Eddy Spytz and London Taylor (1G, 1A) all scored in the second. Dylan Crossley halted the run but William Ren (1G, 1A) responded for St. George’s less than two minutes later. Cash Christie (11/13) and Anthony Ganoung (36/43) kept clean sheets in the third as the game ended 7-2 in favour of St. George’s.
St. Mary’s Academy (4) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (0) Female U18 Prep
Payton Henwood (1G, 1A) scored the game winning goal just 37 seconds in as St. Mary’s shutout Pilot Mound 4-0. Jakiah Curle and Camryn Falloon (1G, 1A) added first period goals while Hannah Arnold scored in the second to round out the scoring. Sasha Coutu (15/15) made just 15 saves for the shutout win. Sutter Reeves (54/58) faced 58 shots in the loss.
Delta Hockey Academy (5) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (2) U17
CDA grabbed an early 1-0 lead on a Louie Bryant goal but Jack Triance (1G, 1A) and Christian Sum scored six seconds apart to give Delta the lead going into the second. Brady Olson and Knox Vogel treaded goals in the second as it remained a one goal game heading into the third. Akash Raj doubled the lead early in the third and Lincoln Arkinstall’s seventh goal of the season secured the 5-2 Delta win. Blake Langdon (23/25) made 23 saves for his third win of the season.
Kuper Academy (2) vs Stanstead College (3) U17 East
Stanstead College (3-0-0) remains undefeated after a 3-2 win over Kuper Academy (3-3-0) Saturday. Parker Banks (1G, 1A) and Hubert Melancon scored 1:26 apart early in the second as Stanstead raced out to an early 2-0 lead. Charles Faucher scored the lone second period goal as Stanstead held a 3-0 advantage heading into the third. Kareem Baig-Mirza (1G, 1A) scored a power play marker to get Kuper on the board and provide some life midway through the third. Malkin Pierce (1G, 1A) cut into the lead in the final minute but Stanstead survived the late Kuper push with Jonas Murrer (26/28) making 26 saves for the win.
Shawnigan Lake School (0) vs Delta Hockey Academy (11) U15 Prep
Jack Utsunomiya (14/14) made just 14 saves as Delta earned a 12-0 shutout victory over Shawnigan Lake. Tripp Fischer (3G) recorded a hat-trick while Nicolas Peach (4A) led all skaters with four points in a game where all but two Delta skaters recorded at least a single point.
Notre Dame (3) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (5) U15
Brett Bochek scored his first of the season 1:41 in and Ryder Fiddler scored a power play goal to give Notre Dame a 2-0 lead. Harrison Sharman (2G) replied for RHA Kelowna just 20 seconds later and Cooper deWal tallied a power play marker 2:30 into the second to tie the game. Dylan Birnie (1G, 1A) restored the Notre Dame lead with another power play goal before Sophia Abougoush scored her first of the season to level the score. Tied 3-3 in the third, Sharman scored RHA Kelowna’s second power play goal of the game to put his team ahead and Dexter Labrecque’s (1G, 1A) empty netter secured the 5-3 win. Lucas Kautz (31/34) and Soren Martin (37/41) were in net for their respective teams.
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (3) vs Notre Dame (6) U18 Prep
Reid White (3G) scored his first two goals of the season in the opening minutes of the game as Notre Dame raced out the gate. Austin Polonoski (2G) got Pilot Mound on the board with a penalty shot marker, beating Josh Blair (31/34) late in the first. He would tie the game in the second with a power play marker but Tyler Norman restored the lead a few minutes later. Micah Pimm (1G, 1A) doubled the lead before White completed the hat-trick a few moments after. Caleb DeBruyne gave Pilot Mound late hope, however it was quickly squashed when Rio Minotti added an empty net tally.
Notre Dame (3) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (6) U17
A goal with 1:17 left in the first by Joe Wakabyashi (2G) put Notre Dame ahead going into the second. Jackson Curle tied the game with a power play goal as NAX would dominate the second period. Jacob Collins (2G, 1A), Kagan Power (1G, 2A) and Lucas Morin all scored in a span of two minutes late in the second as NAX grabbed a 4-1 lead going into the third. Luke White and Wakabyashi each scored power play goals early in the third as Notre Dame looked to mount a comeback. But Porter Dickson (1G, 1A) scored his first of the season to double the lead and Collins added a later power play marker as NAX defeated Notre Dame 6-3.
North Shore Warriors (2) vs Yale Hockey Academy (3) U17 Prep
Seth Castronuovo (1G, 1A) remained hot as he scored his 14th goal in just 11 games as Yale led 1-0 after 20. Brady Elbert and Gavin Selinger scored in the second as Yale held a 3-0 lead going into the third. Tobin Schaefer broke the Jason Ho (26/28) shutout bid with a power play goal early in the third. Lucas Lekakis scored with 31 seconds remaining to give North Shore late life but it was too little, too late as Yale held on for the 3-2 win. Ethan Suhr (44/47) faced 47 shots in the loss.
Rink Hockey Academy Winnipeg (6) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (9) U15
A high scoring affair started slow with Kaz Westcott (2G, 2A) scoring the lone first period goal for Pacific Coast. Each team would score two power play goals in the second as PCHA held a 4-2 lead heading into the third. The third period would see the two teams combine for nine goals, resulting in the PCHA 9-6 win. Hudson Elke (2G, 3A) led all skaters with five points while PCHA teammate Brolin Hastings (1G, 2A) had three points. Defenseman Colton Pawlyshyn (3A), Bo Sabourin (1G, 2A) and Eli Wasylyk (1G, 2A) all had three points for RHA Winnipeg in the loss.
Prairie Hockey Academy (3) vs OHA Edmonton (7) U17
The tenth goal of the season by Jayden Squissato (1G, 1A) saw OHA Edmonton jump ahead 1:44 into the game. Kashton Smith (2G) would respond for Prairie by scoring twice in 34 seconds to give his team the lead. A power play goal by Noah Stone tied the game heading into the second. Grayson Ramson (2G, 1A) and Reid Schmalz traded goals in the second as the game remained tied heading into the third. OHA Edmonton would take over in the final period as Ransom and Jaxon Moss scored power play goals 1:02 apart before Rylan Ross (1G, 1A) added an empty netter late. Hudson Blair (1G, 2A) added a goal in the final minute as OHA Edmonton earned an impressive 7-3 win.
Edge School (4) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (2) U18 Prep
Lethbridge Hurricanes 2024 WHL Draft first round pick Tyden Lafournaise (1G, 1A) opened the scoring 3:48 in. Seattle Thunderbirds 2024 WHL Draft first round pick Brock England (3G, 1A) countered minutes later with a shorthanded marker. Koray Bozkaya put SAHA back on top with a power play goal before England tied the game in the final minutes of the first. England would score the game winning goal and complete his hat-trick late in the second period. Mirco Dufour (1G, 2A), a 2024 WHL Draft first round pick by the Everett Silvertips, would add a late insurance marker for Edge as they earned the 4-2 win over SAHA.
St. George’s School (3) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (4/OT) U17 Prep
Pacific Coast opened the scoring when Jack MacMillan scored his seventh goal of the season. Jason Gao (1G, 1A) quickly responded for St. George’s with a power play marker 2:51 later. After a scoreless middle frame, Holden Duggan (1G, 1A) and Tobie Gilchrist (1G, 1A) put Pacific Coast ahead 3-1 with 5:39 remaining. With the net empty in the final minute of action, Aaron Castro (2G) would score twice in a span of 28 seconds to tie the game and force overtime. Chase Heide (1G, 1A) would score 1:02 into overtime as PCHA avoided the total collapse and secured a 4-3 win in extra time. Ander Reyes (38/41) and Les Toth (42/46) were in net for their respective teams.
OHA Edmonton (4) vs Delta Hockey Academy White (6) U15
OHA Edmonton’s powerplay was firing on all cylinders early in the first, helping them establish a 2-0 lead into the first intermission. However, Delta White would showcase some offence of their own in the second frame as Jayden Ni (2G, 1A) ignited a three goal chain in the second. Ryan Pickell would capitlize on a shorthanded breakaway to further extend Delta White’s lead, but two quick goals from OHA Edmonton’s Peyten Shilton and Jiseong Kim knotted this game back up at 4-4. Shortly after Kim’s tying tally, Jake Dunlop would redirect one home for Delta White, putting them back in front with less than ten minutes to spare. Ni would later add the insurance marker for his 15th of the season, cementing the win for Delta White.
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (8) vs Notre Dame (5) U15 Prep
Despite being outshot, Notre Dame carried a lead out of the first period thanks to goals from Coltin Barrington, Davian Ferland (1G, 1A) and Joey Jackson. Markus Knaub (2G, 1A) would tie things up back for RHA Winnipeg in the second but Carter Rands (1G, 1A) would benefit off a turnover just 43-seconds later, restoring Notre Dame’s lead onward to the third. RHA Winnipeg needed a big third to turn the script into their favour and that’s just what they did, scoring five unanswered goals to take control of the contest. Waywayseecapo, MB native, Athens Shingoose (3G, 1A) nabbed the eventual game winner as well as his hat-trick during this five goal spread while Sullivan Bowen and Brady Filmon (1G, 2A) added the insurance markers.
Edge School (2) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (5) U15 Prep
After Kalen Miles (1G, 1A) gave NAX the initial lead, Edge School would fire back with two before the end of the frame thanks to Ethan Parkinson and George Matheos (1G, 1A). However, come the second period NAX’s special teams took over this contest. Luka Samu (2G) and Easton Arndt (2G) would each pot goals on the man advantage, putting NAX ahead by one into the final ice clean. In the third, Samu would supply another powerplay marker while Arndt snuck in shorthanded, putting the icing on the cake. Dawson Sheehan (29/31) picked up the win in goal with NAX, steering aside 29-shots in the process.
Ulysse Academie (4) vs Bourget College (5/SO) U18 East
After Zack Bernique (1G, 1A) opened the scoring for Ulysse in the first, Bourget would come on to the scene with a three goal second period. Maxemile Richard would go on to add to that total for Bourget in the third. However, Ulysse would catch fire part way through the frame eventually tying things up and forcing overtime thanks to a three goal chain capped off by Ezekiel Lambert. Overtime wouldn’t solve this matchup despite Raphael Harvey receiving a penalty shot in the extra frame. In the fourth round of the shootout, Eliott Guevin would get one past Virgil Sausset (33/37) clinching the win for Bourget College.
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (4) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (3) U17
PCHA’s powerplay was popping in the first with Owen Bate and Lukas Needham (1G, 1A) as the beneficiaries. Their offence would continue to thrive in the second, potting another two goals, capped off by a 2-on-1 feed between Tyson Jeske and Blake Sanderson. However, RHA Kelowna would give PCHA something to think about in the locker room as Bennett Macek scored a wraparound with a single second left on the clock. RHA Kelowna would go on to press hard in the final frame with goals coming off the sticks of Aiden Andrews and Nixon Whieldon (1G, 1A) but would come just shy of the comeback.
Prairie Hockey Academy (0) vs Yale Hockey Academy (10) U15
Yale’s offence exploded for ten goals on Saturday versus PHA. Max Ritchey (3G, 1A) led the way with a hat-trick and four points while Carter Di Stefano (1G, 2A), Jacob White (1G, 2A) and Kaleb Newson (1G, 2A) each snagged three points each. Lucca Tassone (28/28) made 28-stops in goals for his sixth win and second shutout of the campaign.
Delta Hockey Academy (6/OT) vs STAR Hockey Academy (5) U17 Prep
After Cortland Lemieux (3G) opened the scoring for Delta, Aleks Ostrovskyy would net a shorthanded goal to tie things up at one before the intermission. Delta would catch a hot-streak in the second, scoring thrice, seeing Lemieux complete the hat-trick. STAR would be down 4-2 into the third, quickly becoming 5-2 after Treyce Pavlic scored early. However, STAR would rally back with three goals in 2:28, forcing overtime and an eventual shootout. In the seventh round of the shootout, Andy Kim would blast one past the blocker hand of Daniel Peebles (32/37). Zak Stabbler (1G, 1A) had to score to keep STAR alive but would be stuffed by the right toe of Matthew Wong (26/31), crushing STAR’s comeback and sending Delta home with the victory.
Indigenous Sports Academy (4) vs OHA Edmonton (11) U18 Prep
OHA Edmonton put on a scoring frenzy on Saturday, lighting the lamp 11-times. Braydon Franks (3G, 1A) doubled his goal total on the season, netting a hat-trick while ten other OHA Edmonton skaters left the game with multi-point efforts. Holden Parada (2G) would score a pair for ISA in the loss.
Fort Erie International Academy (3) vs King Heights Academy (5) U18 East
The first period would end with both teams knotted at one after a late tying goal from FEIA’s Jeremy Cote (1G, 1A). In the second, King Height’s would find their stride and net three unanswered to open the period with Vytas Lenkutis (3G) polishing off his hat-trick halfway through the frame. Mathys Lefebvre would get FEIA to within one before the ice clean. Mathis Bienvenue would inspire some hope for FEIA scoring 50-seconds into the third but Zakhar Puzriakov (2G, 1A) would restore King Height’s two goal lead, eventually going on to be this match’s insurance marker. Jackson Taraborrelli (29/32) would stop 29-shots on goal in the King Height’s victory.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (7) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (2) U17 Prep
RHA Kelowna and CDA would trade goals back and forth through the early portion of this matchup. Part way through the second, RHA Kelowna found their offensive touch and didn’t look back, scoring five unanswered to ultimately close out the contest. Jack Brown (2G, 1A) led the surge with a two goal effort while Reid Rabinovitch (3A) provided three assists in the win.
Fort Erie International Academy (5) vs CIH Academy (0) U17 East
Fort Erie provided a textbook victory over CIH Saturday evening in Rockland, ON. Channing Cooper (1G, 1A) led the way with the opening goal while Spencer Garzon (2A) and Jayden Goolab (3A) each acquired multiple assists. Felix-Antoine Tessier (39/39) also played a big role, stopping all 39-shots CIH threw on goal, picking up his first shutout of the season.
Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (2) vs BWC Academy (4) U15
After some steady back-and-forth action to ignite this contest, the dice would roll in BWC Academy’s favour heading further into play. Early in the second, Eric Prexler (1G, 1A) would jam home a puck in close to give BWC Academy the outright lead. In the final frame, CDA would be stifled in shots, a staggering 18-3. Wyatt Lowther would also put away a highlight reel goal off a toe-drag to put this game to bed. Jordan Bigelow (16/18) picked up the win in the crease, making 16-stops in the process.
Yale Hockey Academy (1) vs BWC Academy (4) U15 Prep
BWC Academy would put away a pair of goals in quick succession thanks to the efforts of Logan Henry (2G) and Kane Nicholas (2G). The scoring would take a break in the second period but would pick up once again in the third as Henry and Nicholas would each nab their second goals of the evening. Tanner Massey would put Yale on the board late, snapping Bentley Edgar’s (24/25) shutout. Surrey, BC’s Justin Moon (3A) would provide a team high in points, securing three assists in the home ice victory.
OHA Edmonton (4) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (1) Female U18 Prep
A three goal first period made this win possible for OHA Edmonton. Two of those three came on the man advantage with Riley Cooper (1G, 1A) closing off the period with a snipe off the right wing. Elise Slywka would nab a powerplay goal for NAX in the second to inspire some hope entering the final frame. However, OHA Edmonton would continue their pressure and were ultimately rewarded with one more goal, coming off the stick of Ryann Chimera (1G, 1A) off a succulent feed from Cooper. Sarah Shileds (15/16) made 15-saves for OHA Edmonton between the pipes, helping improve her squad’s record to 4-2-0.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (3) vs St. George’s School (1) U15 Prep
Louis Oscar Holowaychuk started right where he left off after a five goal performance last evening, netting the opening goal shorthanded for St. George’s. The Saints would ride their 1-0 lead into the second but would have it revoked after Channon Fummerton scored on the powerplay for RHA Kelowna. Into the third tied up at 1-1, Bronson Lamontagne (1G, 1A) would wire one past Joffrey Chan (42/45) on the powerplay to take the lead. Just over two minutes later, Kaius Millan (1G, 1A) would double that lead with a stuff in close. As the clocked ticked down, Dylan Mingo (66/67) remained cool, turning aside every St. George’s shot as the timer diminished. Mingo would ultimately go on to make a whopping 66-stops against the fierce St. George’s offence, capping off a massive victory over their Lower Mainland rivals.
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (5) vs Indigenous Sports Academy (1) U17 Prep
Following a scoreless first, RHA Winnipeg found their touch in the second, putting home three unanswered goals to establish a solid lead heading into the final twenty. Keegan Bragnalo would tap home RHA Winnipeg’s fourth just 28-seconds into the final frame, pretty much wrapping up this contest before each team would trade goals late in the game. Prince Albert Raiders prospect Knox Burton (1G, 2A) headlined the scoresheet with a three point outing while Chase Charrier (29/30) picked up an assist along with his 29-save performance.
Calgary International Hockey Academy (7) vs St. George’s School (4) U15
Bingo Zhao got St. George’s on the board early with a powerplay marker but was quickly matched shorthanded after Liam Nycholat (1G, 1A) wired one home on a breakaway. Soon after, Jase Morey would give CIHA their first lead in the young game. Scoring would slow down for a majority of the second until St. George’s potted a quick pair in the final few minutes. However, Brik McCord Cooper (1G, 1A) would slide one home right off the faceoff to reinstate CIHA’s lead before the period closed. Come the third, CIHA found their rhythm and buried another four goals to close out this Saturday night affair. Joyesh Ghosh (2G) and Luke Van Waes (2G) would score each goal in the final frame, cementing the win.
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (1) vs OHA Edmonton (7) U15 Prep
Damian Anderson kicked off a five goal first period for OHA Edmonton just 15-seconds into their matchup versus Pilot Mound. Artello Forestal (2G, 1A) would nab the next two goals for OHA Edmonton, bringing him up to 15-goals on the campaign. OHA Edmonton would go on to comfortably close out this match 7-1. Chayse Fedoriuk (1G, 2A) added to his division leading point total with a three point outing while Owen Amyotte (14/15) made 14-saves for his fifth win of the season.
Seattle Jr Kraken (2) vs Delta Hockey Academy Black (5) U15
Rhys Rucintango opened the scoring for the Jr Kraken part way through the first but Delta Black would storm back to score three unanswered in the frame to exit out on top. Onward to the second, Samuel Hioe (2G) potted his second of the evening to extend Delta Black’s lead to three. Delta Black would go on to close out this contest 5-2 with Luc Wilson-Kurenoff (23/25) stepping up in the crease to make 23-saves.
BWC Academy (2) vs North Shore Warriors (5) U17
Noah Russo scored the opening goal for NSW on the man advantage. NSW would build on their lead early in the second after Graeson Miller (1G, 1A) buried one shorthanded. Both teams would go on to score 30-seconds apart later in the frame but BWC Academy would close the period with a goal from Carter Langton (1G, 1A) to cut their deficit to one at the intermission. BWC Academy mustered 12-shot on goal in the final frame but couldn’t manage to sneak another one past Kellen Ceraldi (33/35). NSW would bury another two to close out the night in North Vancouver, BC.
Delta Hockey Academy (1) vs BWC Academy (6) U18 Prep
No goals would find twine for the first half of this contest as both goalies remained perfect. It wasn’t until the latter half of the second where Max Kelly ignited a three goal chain for BWC Academy to close out the frame. Nicholas Campbell would get Delta back to within one early in the third, but another three goals would find their way past Delta as this game closed out 6-1 in BWC Academy’s favour. Kai Anderson (1G, 2A) and Lukas Hoff (1G, 2A) each mustered a three point effort while Adler Ames (24/25) steered aside 24-shots to secure BWC Academy the comfortable victory.
