GAME DAY RECAP: March 6-7, 2023

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (1) vs RHA Winnipeg (9) U15 Prep

River Arnason (2G, 1A) and Maddox Malmquist (2G, 1A) each scored twice and Jett Deschamps (4A) added four assists as RHA Winnipeg defeated PCHA 9-1. Chase Charriere (19/20) made 19 stops in the win. Drew Stinka scored the lone PCHA goal and Logan Alexei Booth (54/63) made 54 saves. 

St. George’s School (3) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (10) U15

In the opening game of the CSSHL Western Championships OHA outshot St. George’s 56-24 en route to a 10-3 win Monday. Ethan Dimand (2G, 1A) and Griffin Hoy (2G, 1A) each scored twice while Brody Bradshaw (1G, 3A) and Braeden Malenchak (1G, 3A) each added three assists in the win. Alexander Allen, Aaron Castro (1G, 1A) and Byron Chin scored the St. George’s goal. 

OHA Edmonton (6) vs Delta Hockey Academy (7/OT) U15

A back and forth game that saw OHA Edmonton score 2 goals in the final 55 seconds ended with Jack Morgan (3G) completing the hattrick to give Delta the 7-6 overtime win. Alexander Laing (1G, 3A) had four points and Matthew Wong (25/31) made 25 saves to earn the win. Tyson Chrunik (4G) responded for OHA Edmonton with four goals in the loss. 

North Shore Warriors (2) vs Yale Hockey Academy (10) U15

Matteo Di Stefano (3G) and Shaun Hildebrandt (3G, 1A) each recorded hattrick to lead the Yale offence to a 10-2 win. Seth Castronuovo (2G, 1A), Adrian Comeau (1G, 2A) and Aidan Kalinowski (3A) all had three points in the win. Sean Murphy and Chase Vossenaar scored for North Shore in the loss and Peter Banicevic (2A) assisted on both goals. 

RHA Kelowna (1) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (7) U15

Jaggar John (4G, 1A) led all skaters with five points and Cam Hoose (18/19) made 18 saves as NAX defeated RHA Kelowna 7-1. 10 NAX skaters recorded at least a point with 7 of them recording multi point games. Ryan Sadovia scored the lone RHA Kelowna goal on the power play in the second period. 

OHA Edmonton U15 (6) vs BWC Academy (2) U15

Tyson Chruinuk (2G, 1A) and Nickson Cox scored 17 seconds apart as OHA Edmonton grabbed a quick 2-0 lead. Ermolai Yarygin responded for BWC Academy 1:11 later but three goals in a span of four minutes for OHA Edmonton would give them a 5-1 lead heading into the third. Noah Stone scored the lone second period goal and Bruce Zhong the lone third period marker as the game finished 6-2 in favour of OHA Edmonton. 

Okanagan Hockey Academy (9) vs Edge School (6) U15

Maxx Parfitt (5G, 1A) opened the scoring 6:47 in as part of a five goal game as OHA beat Edge School 9-6. Mason Patterson (32/38) made 32 saves and Brody Bradhsawn (1G, 1A), Luke Niedermayer (1G, 1A) and Cooper Vogt (1G, 1A) each had a goal and an assist. Nathan Cole (1G, 3A), Luke Jamieson (2G, 1A) and Reeve Waugh (1G, 2A) led the Edge offence in the loss.
