GAME DAY RECAP: February 22, 2026

King Heights Academy (3) vs Mount Academy (6) East U18 Prep

Mount Academy finally snapped out of their February skid with a 6–3 win over King Heights, a game that swung hard in Mount’s favour during a decisive second‑period surge after the teams traded early goals. KHA actually struck first through Misha Shelipov (1G) just 74 seconds in, but Mount answered late in the frame and then blew the game open in the second, with goals from Kale Metallic (1G), Cohen Paul (1G) and a power‑play marker by Diego Manzo (2G) turning a 1–1 contest into a 4–1 lead. King Heights showed some pushback in the third when Lukah Ceh (1G, 1A) buried one on the power play and Tyler Koss (1G) followed to make it interesting, but Manzo’s second of the night at 10:27 restored control, and Noah Richard (1G, 1A) added insurance to close it out. Cedrick Provencher (21/24) held steady behind a 36‑shot Mount Academy effort.

North Shore Warriors (0) vs OHA Edmonton (8) Female U18 Prep

OHA Edmonton delivered one of their most dominant performances of the season, overwhelming North Shore 8–0 in a game that tilted heavily from the moment the puck dropped, with OHA firing 50 shots and getting scoring from every corner of their lineup. A three‑goal burst late in the first sparked by Ashtyn May (2G, 2A), Mercedes Dunbar (1G) and Jocelyn Bodnar (1G) put NSW in an early hole they never climbed out of, and OHA Edmonton only tightened their grip from there. Peyton Carter (1G, 1A) added a power‑play marker in the second before May struck again, and the third period turned into a showcase of OHA’s depth as Ryann Chimera (1G, 1A), Ryann Jugnauth (1G) and Avery Sam (1G) all found the back of the net. While North Shore struggled to generate sustained pressure, Emma Skolney (20/20) quietly authored a shutout behind OHA’s relentless pace, sealing a statement bounce‑back win for a team intent on reasserting itself atop the division.

Delta Hockey Academy Green (5) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (3) Female U18 Prep

Delta Green kept their February surge rolling with a 5–3 win over SAHA in a matchup between two of the hottest teams in the division, leaning on a blistering first period and a star‑turn performance from Cameryn Shiels (3G, 2A) to hand SAHA their first loss in eleven games. Delta struck three times in the opening frame, including power‑play markers from Saya Earl (1G) and Shiels, to build a cushion they’d end up needing as SAHA pushed back. Teylor Crocker (2G) cut into the lead with a second‑period power‑play goal and added another early in the third, and when Sara Murdoch (1G) scored at 18:18, SAHA suddenly had life. But Delta’s response was immediate: Payton Finnie (1G, 1A) buried the empty‑netter just 34 seconds later to seal it, capping a night where Gabriella Lee (4A) drove play all over the ice. Despite SAHA’s late surge and a 34‑shot effort, Ella Dunham‑Fox (31/34) held firm as Delta Green extended their win streak to nine.

Okanagan Hockey Academy (1) vs Edge School (2) Female U18 Prep

Edge School edged out OHA in a tight, low‑event 2–1 win that was decided entirely in the first period, with the Calgary‑based group riding a pair of quick strikes and a composed defensive effort the rest of the way. Samantha Baker (1G) opened the scoring shorthanded at 10:31 before Edan Crowe (1G) doubled the lead just a couple of seconds later, capitalizing on a rare stretch of OHA hesitation. Okanagan answered before the period closed through Makenna Brassard (1G), but despite outshooting Edge 22–14 over the final forty minutes, they couldn’t solve Alexis Ehrman (27/28) again. Maive Gosselin Berg (22/24) kept OHA within reach with a steady performance of her own, yet Edge’s structure, shot suppression, and timely goaltending carried them to a fifth straight victory.

North Shore Warriors (0) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (3) U18 Prep

Pilot Mound snapped their seven‑game winless streak with a composed, wire‑to‑wire 3–0 win over North Shore, leaning on a sharp special‑teams start and a dominant top line to control the morning matchup. Hector Kapitonov (1G) opened the scoring on the power play midway through the first, finishing a clean puck‑movement sequence from Cole Landreville (3A) and Nolan Harding (2A), and from there PMHA slowly tightened their grip. The knockout punch came early in the third, when Knox Burton (2G) struck twice in a span of 110 seconds giving Pilot Mound all the breathing room they needed. Elias Mitrikas (33/36) kept NSW competitive despite the shot disparity, but Zackary David (27/27) turned aside everything he faced to secure the shutout as Pilot Mound finally found the finish they’d been missing throughout February.

Okanagan Hockey Ontario (1) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (5) U18 Prep

Coeur d’Alene rolled to a 5–1 win over OHO, breaking the game open with a four‑goal second period powered by their top producers and a relentless 47‑shot effort. After a tight, low‑event first, Sal Costa (1G, 3A) finally cracked things open at 18:31, and CDA turned that late spark into a full surge in the middle frame: Brooks Anderson (1G, 1A) doubled the lead early, Akira Ota (2G) struck twice, and Kesler Hamilton (1G) added a power‑play marker as CDA piled up four goals in just over six minutes. Adam Clark (1G) got OHO on the board on a second‑period power play, but that was as close as they’d get, with Pierre‑Elie Biley (21/21) shutting the door in relief and Riley Coleman (21/26) battling through heavy pressure. Sam Trnecka (28/29) was steady at the other end, backstopping a CDA group that controlled pace, possession, and special teams from start to finish.

Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (4) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (7) U17 Prep

Pilot Mound outgunned Wenatchee 7–4 in a wild, high‑event matchup that swung on sheer volume, with PMHA piling up 65 shots and riding explosive nights from their top duo to pull away after a frantic first period. Wenatchee actually landed the early punches Rylan O’Mahony (2G) scored twice in the opening eight minutes and Keagan Nussbaum (1G) added a power‑play marker to build a 3–1 lead, but Pilot Mound kept coming. Alexander Ruiz (1G) cut into the deficit before the first ended, and the second period belonged to Maddox Ramage (3G, 2A), who scored twice, including a late power‑play strike, to flip the game in PMHA’s favour. The third opened with another surge: Adam Zamecnik (2G, 2A) scored 11 seconds in, added a second minutes later, and Ramage completed his hat‑trick at 6:14 as Pilot Mound’s relentless pressure finally overwhelmed the Wild. Kayden Fried (1G) provided a late Wenatchee response, but Mikai Mast (58/65) was under siege all morning, while Yuki Kido (20/24) steadied PMHA as they skated away with a much‑needed win.

RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (4/SO) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (3) U17

Prairie looked poised to sweep the season series again, but RINK Winnipeg finally flipped the script with a gritty 4–3 shootout win, clawing back from a two‑goal deficit and surviving a 58‑shot barrage in one of their most resilient performances of the year. PHA struck 20 seconds in through Kayin Belton (1G, 2A) and built a 3–1 lead by the late stages of the second thanks to a pair from Kase Gellner (2G), including a power‑play marker, but RHA Winnipeg refused to fold. Grayson Speirs (1G) got them on the board in the second, and a rapid‑fire third‑period surge, goals from Rhys Lawless (1G, 1A) on the power play and Jake Thorsteinson (1G) just 21 seconds later, stunned Prairie and forced overtime. With no breakthrough in the extra frame, Speirs buried the lone shootout goal while Brenden Wells (55/58) delivered an outstanding performance, turning aside all three PHA attempts to secure a statement win for a group that had been searching for a spark.

St. George’s School (1) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (4) U17 Prep

RINK Winnipeg controlled the pace from start to finish in a 4–1 win over St. George’s, leaning on a sharp start, a dominant middle frame, and another multi‑point night from their top line to rebound from Saturday’s loss. Brady Filmon (2G, 1A) opened the scoring just 3:19 in and later added a second‑period insurance marker, while SGS briefly pushed back with a power‑play strike from Logan Okamura (1G) before RHA Winnipeg re‑asserted control. Markus Knaub (1G, 1A) restored the lead late in the second on the man‑advantage, and Murphy Johnston (1G) buried early in the third to put the game out of reach. Joffrey Chan (32/36) kept SGS competitive despite the shot deficit, but Brady Robert (21/22) was steady throughout as RINK Winnipeg tightened up defensively and closed out a composed, wire‑to‑wire performance.

Okanagan Hockey Academy (2) vs Delta Hockey Academy (3/OT) U17

Delta edged out Okanagan 3–2 in overtime in a tight, playoff‑style matchup that swung back and forth all morning before Linden Kennedy (1G) finally ended it with 1:04 left in the extra frame. Delta struck first on a power‑play finish from Jack Triance (1G) before OHA answered with a man‑advantage goal of their own from Tyler Donaldson (1G), setting the tone for a game where special teams and goaltending dictated momentum. Saajun Aujla (1G) restored the Delta lead late in the second, only for Kohlby Foster (1G) to tie it early in the third as OHA pushed with their best stretch of the game. Both teams traded chances in a frantic finish, but it was Kennedy who finally broke through in OT, burying a feed from Beckam Skrypnyk (1A) to secure the win. Lucas Disiewich (38/40) and Holden Tamm (42/44) were outstanding at both ends, each keeping their team alive in a game that felt like it could tilt either way.

RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (11) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (1) U15 Prep

RINK Winnipeg exploded for an 11–1 win over Pacific Coast in a game that turned into a showcase of depth scoring, puck movement, and a power play that struck twice as part of a four‑goal first period that set the tone early. Ryder MacLean (1G) opened the scoring before PCHA briefly answered on a power play, but from there RHA Winnipeg took full control: Eli Wasylyk (1G, 3A) and Moe Garcia (3G, 2A) drove the attack, Easton Pitz (2G, 3A) piled up five points, and Wyatt Sydenham (1G, 2A) chipped in as the offense rolled in waves. The second period brought another four‑goal burst, highlighted by Pitz’s power‑play marker and a slick finish from Aiden Christie (1G, 3A), before RHAW added three more in the third to close out their most complete offensive outing of the season. Haize Brightnose (17/18) was steady behind a 45‑shot effort, while Pacific Coast’s goaltenders faced pressure from start to finish in a game where RINK Winnipeg dictated every inch of ice.

South Alberta Hockey Academy (9) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (2) U15 Prep

South Alberta erupted for nine unanswered goals over the final forty minutes to rout RHA Kelowna 9–2, flipping the game completely after trailing late in the first and riding a wave of depth scoring and relentless pressure to one of their most dominant outings of the season. After Dexter Labrecque (1G) opened the scoring for RHA Kelowna, SAHA responded with a four‑goal second period sparked by Macen Ibach (2G, 1A), who tied the game early and later added another to cap the surge. Kyan Vansandt (2G) and Nelson Sonna Soufo (1G, 1A) joined the push as SAHA outshot Kelowna 26–16 in the middle frame, and the third period turned into a full‑on avalanche: Cooper Danroth (1G, 1A), Cooper Conway (1G, 1A), Mason Bryksa (1G, 2A) and Carter Jarvis (1G) all found the back of the net as SAHA’s forecheck and transition game overwhelmed a tiring RINK Kelowna group. Patrick Curtis (34/36) was steady when needed, while Max Davis (42/51) faced a barrage in a matchup SAHA controlled from the moment they found their footing.

Notre Dame Hounds (0) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (11) U15

RINK Winnipeg steamrolled Notre Dame 11–0 in a game that turned into a full‑on onslaught from the midway point of the first period onward, with the Hounds simply unable to withstand an 86‑shot barrage or slow down a RHA Winnipeg offense firing on every line. Liam Hailstone (3G, 1A) and Jax Fellner (2G, 2A) led the charge, combining for five goals and dictating the pace from the opening frame, while Brantley Church (1G, 1A), Caleb Church (1G), Max Manaigre (1G) and Ryan Koenig (1G) all joined the scoring parade during a seven‑goal second period that blew the game wide open. Cooper Greenham (3A) and Vaughn Runge (2A) drove the transition game as RINK Winnipeg repeatedly turned rush chances into clean finishes, and Hunter Lang (1G, 2A) added a third‑period marker to cap the rout. On the other end, Madyx Cyr (21/21) earned a quiet shutout behind RHA Winnipeg’s territorial dominance, while Notre Dame’s goaltending duo faced wave after wave in a matchup RINK Winnipeg controlled from the opening puck drop.

Rothesay Netherwood School (5) vs King’s Edgehill School (3) East U18 Prep

Rothesay Netherwood stormed back with a four‑goal third period to stun King’s Edgehill 5–3, flipping a game they trailed for more than 35 minutes and extending their head‑to‑head dominance in a rivalry they’ve controlled all season. KES looked poised to finally break through after Marcus Wolfe (1G) opened the scoring on a power play and Grady Betts (1G) doubled the lead late in the second, but Seth Lawless (1G) gave RNS life with a buzzer‑beater at 18:59. That goal cracked the door open, and the third period turned into a full surge: Will McMullen (1G), Drew Moores (1G), and Dixon Beatty (1G, 1A) all struck in a 12‑minute span to erase the deficit, before Gavin Smith (1G) sealed it in the final minute. Cesare Della Santina didn’t face much volume but was perfect when it mattered, stopping all three shots he saw in a bizarre stat line, while RNS’s depth and late‑game push overwhelmed a KES group that couldn’t withstand the momentum swing.

Delta Hockey Academy Black (2) vs Balmoral Hall School (7) Female U18 Prep

Balmoral Hall overwhelmed Delta Black with a relentless middle‑frame surge, turning a 1–0 deficit into full control and never looking back in a 7–2 win. Addi McFegan (2G) opened the scoring early for Delta, but BH erupted for four unanswered in the second—Brannagh Rae (2G, 1A), Lydia Hill (2G, 2A), and Jakiah Curle (1G) driving the momentum swing while their forecheck smothered Delta’s exits. The third period brought more of the same: Kate Chuback (2G) added a shorthanded dagger, Rae buried her second, and Hill continued to dictate the pace as Balmoral Hall’s power play and transition game took over. McFegan added a late second for Delta, but Sasha Coutu (39/41) shut the door the rest of the way, while Saysha Brace (39/46) stopped 39 shots at the other end. A statement win built on depth scoring, special‑teams execution, and a dominant second period that flipped the game on its head.

RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (5) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (1) Female U18 Prep

RINK Kelowna closed out the weekend with a poised, wire‑to‑wire 5–1 win over RINK Winnipeg, a game they controlled from the opening shift and never really let slip away. Alida Korte (1G) set the tone early at 2:59, and Jillian McLaughlin (1G) doubled the lead minutes later as Kelowna’s forecheck immediately put Winnipeg on its heels. Georgia O’Neill’s (1G) power‑play strike in the dying second of the first gave RHA Winnipeg a spark, but Kelowna answered with a clinical second period with Brynn Rice (1G) burying one off a clean slot touch, followed by Brooke Dolynchuk (1G) finishing a layered rush to make it 4–1. Caitlyn Bell (1G) added the dagger early in the third, and from there Julianne Hendriks (25/26) handled the rest, turning aside 25 of 26 to seal a confident, structured win built on depth scoring, puck movement, and a penalty kill that survived seven Winnipeg power plays without blinking.

Okanagan Hockey Academy Black (2) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (3) Female U18 Prep

Okanagan Hockey Academy Black pushed back with one of their grittiest efforts of the season, but Northern Alberta Xtreme’s timely finishing proved the difference in a tight 3–2 matchup. NAX struck first and built a 2–0 lead off a pair from Kaylee Jamieson (2G), one at even strength and one on the power play, before OHA Black answered with a strong second‑period push. Sydney Hancock (1G) buried a rebound to cut the deficit, and Jackie Bromberg (1G) tied it late in the frame off a clean feed from Mulan Bradbury (1A) and Molly Peacock (1A), giving OHA real momentum heading into the third. But despite a 41‑shot effort and multiple power‑play looks, OHA couldn’t find a go‑ahead marker, and NAX capitalized instead, Natty Lock (1G) netting the game‑winner midway through the period. In net, Ryann Faulkner (46/49) was outstanding and kept OHA in striking distance all afternoon, while Ayla Whitney (39/41) held firm at the other end to secure the win for NAX.

RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (3) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (4/SO) U18 Prep

RINK Kelowna and Northern Alberta Xtreme traded punches early, but it was NAX who survived a tight, tactical battle and finally edged out a 4–3 shootout win after neither side could find a goal in the third or overtime. Bronson Lamontagne (1G) opened the scoring before NAX countered with back‑to‑back strikes, only for Rhett Tubello (1G, 1A) to answer and pull Kelowna even. The second period saw another exchange, Kalen Miles (1G) converting on the power play, followed by a late RHAK response from Ryan Sadovia (1G) on the man‑advantage to knot things at 3–3. From there, both goaltenders locked in, with Micah Davidson (20/23) and Matthew Coyle (24/27) trading saves through a scoreless third and OT. The shootout stretched deep, with Cole Krebs and Teagen Bouchard finally sealing it for NAX after Louis James Prystupa briefly kept Kelowna alive.

Bishop’s College School (4) vs Lower Canada College (2) East U17 Prep

Bishop’s finally punched back in the rivalry, grinding out a composed 4–2 win over LCC by leaning on timely scoring and a penalty kill that refused to crack despite an avalanche of shorthanded minutes. Nate Pheifer (1G) opened the day with a solo strike, and after a chaotic second period that saw BCS weather a long 5-on-3 and surrender a shorthanded equalizer, Dominik Bickos (1G) restored the lead on the power play to tilt momentum back their way. LCC pushed again early in the third, but Elliott Correia (1G) buried the eventual game‑winner off a clean feed from Grady Cohen (1G, 1A), who later sealed it himself with an empty‑net power‑play dagger. In net, Dax Doiron (27/29) was steady through every wave of pressure, anchoring a BCS group that leaned on structure, special teams, and just enough finish to close out a much‑needed response performance.

BWC Academy (3) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (6) U18 Prep

RINK Winnipeg punched back from a tough stretch with a statement 6–3 win over BWC Academy, riding a four‑goal explosion from Athens Shingoose (4G) to take control of a game that featured heavy swings and plenty of special‑teams moments. Winnipeg built a 2–0 lead early behind Maximilian Koppel (1G) and Shingoose’s first of the night, but BWC stayed within reach thanks to Kadyn O’Brien (1G) on the power play. The second period belonged to RHAW: Keegan Bragnalo (1G) buried a rebound, Shingoose added two more, including the eventual game‑winner, and Ryan Sadovia (1G) cashed on the man‑advantage to make it 5–2 through forty. Shingoose capped his monster night with his fourth early in the third before Wilton Vo (1G) answered for BWC, but Ryler Gates (46/49) shut the door the rest of the way to secure the win.

North Shore Warriors (3) vs Notre Dame Hounds (6) U17 Prep

Notre Dame finally snapped things open in the third, turning a tight 2–2 game into a 6–3 win with a four‑goal surge that overwhelmed North Shore late. Lukas Lundgren (1G, 1A) opened the scoring early before Vladimir King (1G, 1A) answered to settle the first, and after Levi Lillejord (1G) restored the Hounds’ lead in the second, James Koch (1G) buried a power‑play equalizer to send it to the third tied. That’s where the Hounds took over, Matthew Boekelder (1G), then back‑to‑back strikes from Joe Wakabayashi (2G), and finally an empty‑net dagger from Paul Abrametz (1G, 1A) sealed it. North Shore got one late from Ryan Frick (1G), but Caden Smith (32/35) shut things down while the Hounds’ depth, Ryder Kane (2A), Hayden Lemkay (2A), Eli Swift (1A), Clive Harazny (1A), and Kellen Palmer‑Johnson (1A) drove the momentum swing that decided the afternoon.

Northern Alberta Xtreme (5) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (2) U15

Northern Alberta Xtreme set the tone 24 seconds in and never really let Prairie Hockey Academy settle, riding early momentum and a relentless forecheck to a 5–2 win. Myer Hipkins (1G) opened the scoring before Rykker Kurka (1G) restored the lead after Prairie briefly tied it. Mason Zimmer (2G) took over from there, burying the eventual game‑winner in the second and adding a power‑play insurance marker late in the third, while Malik Flynn (1G, 1A) chipped in with a key early‑third strike. Prairie hung around thanks to David Osiowy (1G, 1A) and Maguire Lepp (1G, 1A), but they couldn’t solve Jace Hilliard (40/42) enough to mount a comeback.

STAR Hockey Academy (2) vs Delta Hockey Academy (3) U17 Prep

The final regular season weekend for STAR Hockey Academy’s U17 Prep squad saw them face down three very capable opponents; Friday ended in a loss to RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg, they’d survive the Calgary International Hockey Academy in a shootout on Saturday, and had the sizzling Delta Hockey Academy on the docket Sunday. Within the first 2:11 of the hockey game, Delta sprinted into the lead, with goals from Brady Oatman (1G, 1A) and Austen Su establishing DHA a 2-0 advantage. Delta led and controlled the game throughout, but as things went on, STAR were able to make good on the chances they’d generate. Colton Brum (1G, 1A) pulled STAR back within one late in the first before a powerplay goal from Cam Hoggan sent the game into the third period tied. With the game knotted at two heading towards the game’s conclusion, the 2-2 scoreline held until the last two minutes of the game. Beckett Matlock (1G, 1A) found Delta’s breakthrough with 2:08 still to play in the game. Delta shut the door from there, holding off the STAR push.

North Shore Warriors (3) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (7) U15

A good run of form that saw three wins in a row last weekend for RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna’s U15 squad was stopped dead in its tracks by Okanagan Hockey Academy on Friday, with OHA besting RHAK 5-3. North Shore was their next test in an attempt to get back to their winning ways, and through the first half of the hockey game, it looked like RHAK had it tough. North Shore led, and while RHAK turned it around to lead 2-1, North Shore pulled the game back to 2-2 by the time the game had reached its halfway point. The end of the second period, though, saw RHAK finally pull away from the Warriors, with two goals from Sidney Mock at the end of the second helping RHA Kelowna take a 5-2 lead through forty minutes. North Shore grabbed a goal in the third, but a pair of powerplay goals from Kingston Prenioslo (1G, 2A) and Landen Grey (1G, 1A) helped RHAK pull away late in the third to win 7-3.

RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (5/OT) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (4) U17

Two teams among the middle of the pack in the U17 division clashed on Sunday, with the game’s trajectory unfolding in a back-and-forth manner that’s often compared to a see-saw. RHAK led by one through one, but in the second, PCHA came storming back. Down by one, PCHA scored three goals in less than two and a half minutes to spin the game in their favour. RHAK and PCHA traded goals late in the period, with RHAK heading into the third period down by two. PCHA led 4-2 heading into the final six minutes, but a goal from Myeongcheol Sung (2G, 1A) cut the deficit to one, giving RHAK the chance to find a late equalizer. With 42 seconds to go, Sung scored again to tie things up for RHAK, and it wouldn’t be done. Sung wasn’t done there, going to work in overtime, giving the puck to Lochlan Shaw, who scored his second goal of the season with 14 seconds left, with Shaw’s first goal since December 5th helping RHAK complete a come-from-behind overtime victory.

Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (23) vs STAR Hockey Academy (7) U15

In what may go down as the most dominant performance in CSSHL history, the dynamic duo of TJ Podollan (8G, 5A) and Jagger Clark (5G, 8A) combined for a staggering 26-points, 13 apiece. Podollan, just coming off a 10-point performance that pushed him beyond the 100-point mark, nabbed 8 goals for CDA. Clark, who just finished scoring his 50th goal yesterday, now sits on the brink of 60, only 5 goals away from tying Trevor Wong’s record of 64, a record most thought was untouchable. With four games left in CDA’s schedule, what more is in store from the pair?  Aside from Podollan and Clark, Aden Bancarz (3G, 2A) and Hunter Huseby (3G, 3A) posted hat-tricks. Reed Witham (5A) and Brody Finley (4A) acquired a combined 9 assists. Regan Haggard (2G, 2A) would lead STAR on the scoresheet, acquiring 4-points in the loss.

Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (8) vs North Shore Warriors (4) U15 Prep

Pilot Mound Hockey Academy’s U15 Prep squad struggled from November to January, dropping eight straight contests, but is on a distinct upswing this weekend. They bested Okanagan Hockey Academy 4-3 on Friday and made short work of STAR Hockey Academy on Saturday in the form of a 6-2 win. Sunday’s clash with North Shore presented PMHA the chance to win their third straight game for the first time since they bested the Hounds thrice near the end of November, and made good on that opportunity very early in the game. PMHA scored three in less than eight and a half minutes in the first period, with two from Zac Klassen (2G, 1A), leading PMHA into the second period in the lead. Brock Vodden (2G) scored one of PMHA’s two goals early in the second period, with the Buffaloes leading 5-1, and while North Shore mounted a comeback effort, they couldn’t come all the way back. Max Faulkner (2G) scored two in the third to extend PMHA’s lead and eventually help them secure an 8-4 win.

Calgary International Hockey Academy (3) vs Delta Hockey Academy (8) U15 Prep

Delta Hockey Academy’s U15 Prep squad might already have aspirations of success in the Western Championships in less than one month’s time, but they came into their second-to-last game of the regular season determined to finish their February with their fifteenth consecutive victory. Carson Brown grabbed a pair of primary assists in the first period alone, one of which contributed to defenceman Eli Vickers’ 20th goal of the season, as Delta’s 3-0 lead through one seemed to send them well on their way, only building upon that lead from there. Braelyn Nunley (2G, 1A) scored on the powerplay and picked up a primary assist on a goal from Mazen Green (1G, 2A) to lead Delta into the third period up 7-1. That would be more than enough to secure a win, with CIHA’s pair of third-period goals ultimately ineffective towards improving the outcome of the game.

Delta Hockey Academy White (1) vs Delta Hockey Academy Black (6) U15

Sunday marked the second battle of the season between the two Delta Hockey Academy U15 squads, with this game playing out in a strikingly similar fashion to their head-to-head clash back in October. Delta Black won 5-1 on that day, and unfortunately for Delta White, Sunday didn’t give them any better of a chance to earn a result. Delta Black ended the game outshooting their inter-organizational opponent 46-18 in the game, grabbing four points from Jack Delaney (2G, 2A) in a 6-1 win. Delaney’s four points now gives him six points this weekend after the U15 returnee had only recorded two points in his five games prior to Saturday’s against St. George’s School.

BWC Academy (6) vs St. George’s School (3) U15

BWC’s U15 squad have had a more tumultuous February than their eight-game winning streak that spanned from December to January. BWC went behind to St. George’s School in the first period of Sunday’s game, but as remained the case throughout, BWC were able to quickly and effectively hit back following the SGS goal. Cooper McBride (2G, 1A) tied the game 54 seconds after St. George’s took what ended up being their only lead of the game, with a few of BWC’s big guns firing from there to help their team advance further away from their opponents. Mars Zhang potted goal number 36, and Alex Iaichkin scored goal number 39 on the seaso,n with Owen Chapman also chipping in with two assists en route to BWC’s 6-3 win.

Shawnigan Lake School (9) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (0) Female U18 Prep

Shawnigan Lake School’s February has been excellent, with the Female U18 Prep squad bouncing back from three losses in four games in January, with Sunday the chance for Shawnigan to win already their fourth game of the month. They’d faced Pilot Mound Hockey Academy once before, with Shawnigan prevailing 10-0 back in early October, and Sunday’s clash would be no different. Grace Cooper (3G, 1A) scored three goals for Shawnigan before the end of the second period, and Zoe Cramer (2G, 3A) picked up a pair of goals to contribute to Shawnigan’s 9-0 win.

Okanagan Hockey Academy (5/SO) vs OHA Edmonton (4) U17 Prep

A pair of teams from the Okanagan Hockey Group squared off in Edmonton on Sunday, their first and only head-to-head clash of the regular season. An electric start to the hockey game saw Gage Mark (2G, 1A) and Jaxon Moss (2G) scoring 16 and 27 seconds into the game, respectively, to get the party started very early. The rest of the game played out in a similarly interesting fashion, with special teams being the story of the game. OHA scored three in the second, with two powerplay goals in the last few minutes of the second period, sending Okanagan Hockey Academy into the third period up three. Once they got there, though, OHA Edmonton’s powerplay made good on three of their four third-period chances to storm all the way back. Gabriel Kantor’s (2G) second of the third period tied the game with 107 seconds left to play in the game, with OHAE forcing overtime with a three-goal third. Overtime came and went scoreless, with Rylan Bengert scoring the only goal of the shootout for OHA to lead them to the win.

Delta Hockey Academy (8) vs Notre Dame Hounds (2) U18 Prep

Delta Hockey Academy’s U18 Prep squad have been red-hot of late, with the Notre Dame Hounds facing down an opponent who had won eight straight games prior to Sunday’s clash. Delta sprinted into the lead off the hop, with an early goal from Kishan Saggu (2G, 2A) giving Delta a lead they’d only build upon. Notre Dame scored a pair in the first to trail only 3-2 through one, but a pair of goals from Peter Banicevic (3G, 1A) completed his hat-trick and gave Delta a three-goal lead through two. Leonardo Ceregini’s first goal of the season in the third period put the cherry on top of Delta’s ninth consecutive victory.

BWC Academy (4) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (3) U17 Prep

BWC Academy’s U17 Prep squad had a rollercoaster of an afternoon against the Prairie Hockey Academy on Sunday in the two teams’ only head-to-head clash of the season, the last on their regular season schedule. BWC led by two through one, but in the second period, a three and a half minute stretch completely flipped the game on its head. Dillon Flanagan, Kashton Smith (1G, 1A), and Nixon Friesen scored PHA goals, the latter two scoring 45 seconds apart to give Prairie a 3-2 lead. A powerplay at the end of the second period led to Ryan Fox (1G, 2A) tying the game at three heading into the third, and 4:20 into the third, BWC re-established their lead through Kayden Pratt’s (2G, 1A) second goal of the game. BWC goaltender Liam Kellett (32/35) made 13 saves on 13 shots to help BWC over the finish line to win 4-3.

Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (2) vs Shawnigan Lake School (8) U18 Prep

The Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy’s U18 Prep team would have been looking over at Shawnigan Lake School and seeing a vulnerable opponent, with SLS having lost seven of their previous eight games and slipping into the bottom half of the U18 Prep rankings. Wenatchee bested Okanagan Hockey Ontario and the Notre Dame Hounds already this weekend, but on Saturday, it was Shawnigan Lake’s day through and through. The first period concluded with the score stuck at 1-1, but in the second, SLS started to pull away. They’d score the first three of the period to establish a solid lead, and in the third, things only got worse for the Wild. Shawnigan grabbed three points apiece from Dayton Killam (2G, 1A), Phoenix Hinks (1G, 2A), and Maddoch Bond (3A), who led Shawnigan through a final forty minutes that saw them outscore Wenatchee by a whopping 7-1 margin to win 8-2.

Shawnigan Lake School (11) vs Indigenous Sports Academy (3) U17 Prep

The U17 Prep squads of Shawnigan Lake School and Indigenous Sports Academy played their only head-to-head clash of the season on Sunday, and unfortunately for ISA, Shawnigan would make ISA’s massive win over Wenatchee on Saturday feel like a long time ago. Indigenous Sports Academy scored to take the lead 20 seconds into the game to potentially give them early control of the game, with Owen Sinclair (2G, 1A) scoring his first of an eventual three points on the day. 30 seconds later, though, Case Bartley (1G, 2A) immediately hit back, and after Bartley tied it, Shawnigan wouldn’t trail again in the game. Spencer Currie scored on a powerplay barely a minute after his team had tied the game to give SLS the lead less than two minutes into the game, and their offence would only keep scoring as the game went on. In addition to Bartley’s three points, Shawnigan grabbed multi-point efforts from eleven other players, including four from Matthew Morris (1G, 3A), three from Lucas Partridge-Mather (1G, 2A), and a pair of goals from Griffin Voth. SLS ran away with the game at the end, scoring six in the third en route to an 11-3 win.

Shawnigan Lake School (1) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (5) U15 Prep

Okanagan Hockey Academy’s U15 Prep group bested Shawnigan Lake School 5-2 in their previous game this month, but OHA had lost two of the three games they’d played since, including both of their first two this weekend. On Sunday, though, a determined OHA team never looked in doubt of earning a bounceback victory. OHA doubled up Shawnigan’s shot total in the game, outshooting SLS 36-18 in a game they led by four through two. Jake Gates scored twice to lead the way for OHA en route to their eventual 5-1 win.

OHA Edmonton (6) vs Yale Hockey Academy (4) U15 Prep

Yale Hockey Academy’s U15 Prep squad have been virtually unbeatable in the CSSHL so far this season, but in the absence of top gun Parker McMillan, OHA Edmonton had an excellent opportunity to hand Yale their first loss since October 31, who came in riding an 18-game winning streak. By the halfway point of the game, the game remained locked at two goals apiece, but in the game’s back half, OHAE took over control. They’d score three straight and four of the next five goals, with OHAE ultimately getting their six goals from six different goal scorers in the game. Connor Phillips ended up making 29 saves on 33 shots for OHAE in their eventual 6-4 win.

Bourget College (2) vs Ontario Hockey Academy (1) East U17 Prep

Bourget College’s Eastern U17 Prep squad faced an Ontario Hockey Academy squad on Sunday, who were coming off an 8-3 win over CIH Academy prior to the two teams’ first regular season clash this season. The red-hot OHA forward Yehor Pyshalko scored the first goal of the first forty minutes of the game in the second period to give Ontario the lead through two, with Pyshalko’s sixth goal and fifteenth point in his last eight games making the difference to that point in time. However, heading towards the last seven minutes of the game, two quick goals in 19 seconds completely spun the game around in favour of Bourget College. Liam Croteau and Jayden Osborne scored for Bourget in quick-fire fashion to establish his team a 2-1 lead, one that would be protected to the end thanks to Bourget’s Christian Spinnou stopping 48 of the 49 OHA shots he faced.

St. George’s School (0) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (5) U18 Prep

Prairie Hockey Academy’s U18 Prep squad looked incredibly assured in their game against St. George’s School, as after their winning streak was snapped last night against Delta, they rolled into Saturday looking incredibly motivated to get back in the win column against an SGS squad they’d previously beaten in all four meetings this season. Zane Rains (3G, 1A) scored the only goal of the first for Prairie, but in the second, they’d extend the lead beyond what St. George’s could recover from. Rains scored another two to complete his hat-trick, and Grayden Solodan (1G, 1A) scored to snap a six-game drought. Seamus Dillon (1G, 3A) assisted on all three of Rains’ goals, and Rains would return the favour in the third, providing Dillon the primary assist for his first goal in his last four games. Drake Mooney’s (23/23) 23 saves stood as enough for the shutout in Prairie’s victory.

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (5) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (9) U17 Prep

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy’s U17 Prep squad stayed right in the game with South Alberta Hockey Academy in the first half of proceedings on Sunday. Owen Bate opened the scoring, and while SAHA were able to tie and steal the lead in response, Dane Dyer (1G, 1A) tied the game before the halfway mark of the second period. From that point on, though, it was all SAHA, who gained momentum with a whopping twelve powerplay chances in the game. A pair of quick goals for SAHA at the end of the second put them up two through two, and in the third, SAHA’s powerplay put the game well out of PCHA’s reach. Oakland Black (3G), who had scored on the powerplay in the second, scored another two to open the third period, including another powerplay goal, to complete his hat-trick. Save for Black’s three, the rest of the SAHA scoring was pretty well spread out, with defenceman Mason Woychyshyn scoring his first goal in eight games and forward Brendan Espersen (1G, 1A) picking up his first two points of 2026. PCHA grabbed the last two goals of the game to make the scoreline look a little more respectable.

Okanagan Hockey Academy (9) vs OHA Edmonton (3) U18 Prep

The U18 Prep squads of the Okanagan Hockey Academy and OHA Edmonton play just once all season long, with Okanagan Hockey Academy coming in looking for just their second win over their last five games, losing both of their previous two games this weekend. OHAE, conversely, won both of their games already this weekend, the latest a 5-0 thumping of Shawnigan on Saturday. A tight game through one turned on its head in the second, with Maxx Parfitt (3G, 3A) scoring two quick goals and adding an assist to Eli Tverdovsky’s (1G, 1A) goal in the second period to lead OHA into the third with a 5-1 lead. Parfitt completed his hat-trick and Ben Fragle (2G, 1A) added a pair of his own to help OHA seal a massive 9-3 win.

Yale Hockey Academy (2) vs Edge School (5) U17 Prep

Edge School’s U17 Prep side dropped their last three games before Sunday’s against Yale, extremely motivated to get back in the win column after seeing a four-game winning streak snapped following an excellent January. Nicholas Voinea opened the scoring for Yale, but from there, Edge School made good on their offensive opportunities to turn the game around. Edge scored two powerplay goals to end the first before Evan Lynch (2G, 1A) went on to score a pair later on to extend Edge School’s lead to four, a lead they’d hang on to until Yale snatched a goal back at the end of the third. Edge School’s Delano Pockar stopped 31 of 33 for the win.

Edge School (6) vs BWC Academy (3) U15 Prep

Edge School’s U15 Prep squad had lost four consecutive games prior to this weekend, dropping two contests to SAHA and two contests to CIHA prior to travelling to Abbotsford for the U15 Prep showcase. 7-2 and 5-2 wins over PCHA and RHAK to start the weekend made Sunday an excellent opportunity for Edge to complete a perfect weekend, and it was their superstar who lead them to victory against BWC Academy. Brody Antignani (3G, 1A) tied the game at one in the first, gave Edge a 3-2 lead in the second, and scored shorthanded early in the third period to finish off a hat-trick and establish Edge a 4-2 lead heading towards the game’s conclusion. Matthew Sunderland scored his first of the season for BWC Academy to make it a one-goal game, but Edge grabbed two more at the end to seal the win. Cohen Spencer (40/43) stopped 40 shots in the win for the Mountaineers.

Northern Alberta Xtreme (2) vs St. George’s School (3/OT) U15 Prep

The Northern Alberta Xtreme had only faced St. George’s School’s U15 Prep squad once this season, with NAX coming in having won four of their last five games coming in. St. George’s School has seen mixed results in February so far, with five wins and three losses heading into Sunday. It looked like Northern Alberta’s game through two periods, with goals from Sebastian Morgan and Landon Reschny establishing NAX a 2-0 lead heading into the third period, with NAX outshooting SGS 27-17 in the process. The game flipped in the third, though, with Nick Hill (1G, 1A) cutting the lead to one before Luca Rogers (1G, 1A) scored on the powerplay to tie the game up with less than seven and a half minutes left in the third. The rest of the third solved nothing, but with just 82 seconds left in overtime, St. George’s School managed to turn the game all the way around to snatch victory in extra time. Jayden Ni potted the winner, extending his point streak to four games and scoring his twenty-seventh goal of the season in the process.

Yale Hockey Academy (3) vs Edge School (6) U18 Prep

After Edge School’s U18 Prep squad established a two-goal lead in the first four and a half minutes of their game against Yale on Sunday. Yale wouldn’t go away easily and had managed to pull the game back to 2-2 through goals on either side of the first intermission, but after Alex Ostrovskyy (2G) had made it a tie game, Edge pulled away again, and Yale couldn’t catch them. Luke Huska (1G, 1A), Reed Reschny, and Charlie Tobin (1G, 1A) scored consecutive goals to pull the Mountaineers away from YHA en route to an eventual 6-3 win.

RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (4) vs Calgary International Hockey Academy (0) U17 Prep

RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna’s U17 Prep squad sprinted away from the Calgary International Hockey Academy in the first period on Saturday with Mason Poitras (1G, 1A), Mannix Bingham, and Griffin Hoy scoring goals in the first twenty minutes to open up a 3-0 RHAK lead. Alexander Sharman scored in the second to make it 4-0, a scoreline that would hold thanks to the 27-save shutout from RHAK’s Matthew Palmer.

Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (2) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (4) U17 Prep

The first meeting of the season between Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy and the Northern Alberta Xtreme’s U17 Prep teams took place in Edmonton on Sunday, and while CDA’s effort was admirable, it was the team closer to home who prevailed. Daniel Makovetskiy and Camden Masterson traded goals in the first to send the game into the second tied 1-1, but NAX ran away with it in the middle frame. The Xtreme got a powerplay goal from Avery Leonard (1G, 1A), a five-on-five goal from Liam Huxley, and a shorthanded goal from Kellen Schmidt to take a 4-1 lead into the third. CDA pulled one back, but couldn’t get any closer, with NAX’s Dawson Sheehan stopping 30 of 32 for the win.

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (4) vs Calgary International Hockey Academy (5/OT) U18 Prep

Through twenty minutes of Pacific Coast Hockey Academy vs Calgary International Hockey Academy’s U18 Prep clash, it looked like Roman Lavery had heroically put his team on his back and willed them toward victory. Lavery had scored a hat-trick in the first period, and through two, his Sea Devils led CIHA 4-1. Calgary came storming back in the third, though, with two early goals pulling them within one and Aeden McCarry (1G, 2A) tying the game with less than 90 seconds to play. It then took less than 90 seconds of overtime for CIHA to find the winner, with McCarry playing the role of the set-up man this time to help Mason Moran score in overtime to win the game for Calgary, with CIHA turning around 3-0 and 4-1 deficits in their comeback win.

Notre Dame Hounds (3) vs STAR Hockey Academy (7) U15 Prep

The Notre Dame Hounds’ U15 Prep squad spent much of the game chasing STAR, but never letting them get comfortable with the lead. Notre Dame had cut a 2-0 STAR lead to 2-1, cut a 3-1 lead to 3-2, and cut a 4-2 lead to 4-3 all before the end of the second period. STAR finally pulled away in the third, though, scoring three unanswered to escape Notre Dame. Two goals each from Zane Hamilton (2G, 1A) and Ryezen Bertsch (2G), as well as three points from captain Kaido Kennedy (3A,) led STAR to the win.
