Northern Alberta Xtreme (4) vs Edge School (2) U15
Madden Woo scored the lone first period goal and Jaggar John (2G) added one in the second as NAX led 2-0 heading into the third. John would score again in the third before Grey Zielinsko and Reeve Waugh scored back to back goals to bring Edge within one. A Kyle Denis goal just minutes later would secure the victory as Cam Hoose (29/31) made 29 saves.
St. George’s School (3) vs Delta Hockey Academy Black (0) U15 Prep
Kyle Taylor (18/18) made 18 saves to shutout Delta Black in a 3-0 win. Kanjyu Gojsic (1G, 1A) and Eli Barrett both scored first period goals while Sam Auld (1G, 1A) added a second period marker, providing St. George’s with all of the offence they would need. Greyson Moroz (44/47) made 44 stops in the loss.
OHA Edmonton (1) vs RHA Winnipeg (12) U16 Prep
RHA Winnipeg scored 12 straight goals en route to a 12-1 win Saturday afternoon. Connor Bear (4G, 2A) and James Franklin (1G, 3A) led all skaters in points. Brant Catellier (22/23) made 22 saves, having his shutout bid ruined when Jason Haraphongse found the back of the net with 4 seconds left.
Northern Alberta Xtreme (8) vs International Hockey Academy (3) U17 Prep
NAX scored the game’s first five goals as they defeated IHA 8-3. Torretto Marrelli (1G, 4A) led all skaters with five points while Jaxen Gauchier (1G, 2A) and Finn Kallay (2G, 1A) each had three points in the win. Affiliate netminder Parker Snell (27/30) made 27 saves in the win. Luke Biletsky, Michiel Leenders and Eric Marks (1G, 1A) scored for IHA.
St. George’s School (3) vs Delta Hockey Academy (1) U18 Prep
Alex Cordero opened the scoring with a first period goal and a scoreless second saw St. George’s lead 1-0 heading into the third. Rajun Parmar would tie the game midway through the last frame but Ethan Buckland (1G, 1A) would score with 1:37 remaining to regain the St. George’s lead. Zach Zapanta (1G, 1A) would add an empty netter 30 seconds later to secure the victory. Liam Hallett (34/35) made 34 saves to earn the win.
OHA Edmonton (2) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (6) U15 Prep
NAX (18-0-0) stayed undefeated on the season with a 6-2 win over OHA Edmonton. Sawyer Dingman (2G) scored twice and Darius Hordal (2A) added two assists, while Taylor Raynard (28/30) made 28 saves in net. Rowan Houweling (46/52) made 46 saves in the loss and Noah Kelly and Casen Vadori scored for OHA Edmonton.
Northern Alberta Xtreme (3) vs International Hockey Academy (1) U18 Prep
IHA outshot NAX 40-35 but a 39 save performance from Vaughn Kaliel (39/40) gave NAX a 3-1 win. All the scoring took place in the first period as Landon Hanson, Bret Hymers and Matthew Gillard (1G, 2A) all scored within the first 6:42 of the game for NAX. Gavin Garland would score a shorthanded marker for IHA late in the period but that would be the only offence his team could muster. Rio Kroeker (32/35) made 32 saves in the loss.
