The Victoria Royals have signed Matthew Keller to a Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreement (SPA) after they selected him in the fourth round, 74th overall in the 2021 WHL Draft.
Keller has spent the last three seasons in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) with his hometown Edge School. He would play the 2019/20 season in the U15 division, tallying 22 points in 27 games. In six U15 Prep games the following year, Keller would record one assist. Keller would tally 28 points in 36 U16 Prep games this season while being nominated for the division’s Top Defenseman award.
