Four year Canadian Sport School Hockey League student athlete Griffen Barr has committed to the British Columbia Hockey League’s Vernon Vipers for the 2020-21 season.
The six foot defenseman spent last season playing for Shawnigan Lake School’s U18 Prep team where he recorded five goals and 37 assists (5-37-42) in 36 regular season games.
During the 2020 BDO CSSHL Championships, Barr, 18, set up two goals in two playoff games which were cut short due to COVID-19.
In four seasons in the CSSHL, the Nanaimo, BC product scored 20 goals and 75 assists (20-75-95) in 137 career games.
