Five CSSHL Alumni Among BCHL Scholarship Recipients

Five CSSHL alumni were among the 10 recipients of a $2,500 scholarship presented by the BCHL along with the Vancouver Canucks alumni.

Braedon Fleming, Devin Leduc, Brady Lynn, Ryan Novecosky, and Zachary Zorn were among the 10 winners of this year’s scholarship.

Fleming spent two seasons with Yale Hockey Academy suiting up for 29 games between their U16 and U18 Prep teams. The goaltender committed to ACAC program SAIT for the 2020/21 season after parts of four years in the BCHL with the Langley Rivermen.

Another Yale product, Leduc played two games for their U18 Prep team before making the jump midseason to the KIJHL with the Kamloops Storm. He would spend three seasons split between the Langley Rivermen and Powell River Kings, before committing to USports school Royal Military College.

Lynn spent the 2014/15 season with the Yale U16 team before joining the BWC U18 Prep team the following season. He would spend four seasons in the BCHL with the Nanaimo Clippers and Cowichan Valley Capitals. He was committed to USports school University of Ontario Institution of Technology for the 2020/21 season.

Novecosky played 100 CSSHL games with Shawnigan Lake School U17 and U18 Prep recording 92 points. The defensemen spent two years in the BCHL with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs and West Kelowna Warriors before committing to the University of Saskatchewan.

Zorn was a member of POE (RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna) for three seasons before joining the Merritt Centennials. He would spend three seasons in the BCHL before committing to Concordia University for the 2018/19 season.
