Canadian Sport School Hockey League alum John Evans has committed to attend and play NCAA hockey at the University of New Hampshire.
Evans, 17, attended the Delta Hockey Academy for four seasons, most recently during the 2018-19 campaign where he registered 72 points (20-52-72) in 35 games with their U18 Prep team.
During the 2017-18 season, the 5-foot-9 forward tallied 73 points (23-50-73) in 36 games with the Delta U16 Prep team, after a 36-point (11-15-36) season with their U15 Prep team in 2016-17.
In his first season in the CSSHL, Evans posted 19 points (5-14-19) in 23 games with Delta’s U15 team, while also adding six points (1-5-6) in four post-season games, helping his team capture the CSSHL Championship.
This past season, the South Surrey, B.C. product netted 50 points (22-28-50) in 57 games with the BCHL’s West Kelowna Warriors. He was named to the BCHL’s All-Rookie Team.
